I'm fine thanks, very busy moving into a bungalow at the moment which is wonderfully wheelchair compliant.

We made the decision to leave our SW group this week, we had a change of consultant and she spoke to middle son really quite unforgivably. We are apparently not the only ones to be upset with her 'ways', the group has dwindled from over 100 at the session (with a good amount of those staying for image therapy), to less than 20 in a couple of months.

She seemed nice as pie first off, then the next time where I had messaged her to say I couldn't go to our regular session as I was really quite ill (the pneumonia decided to take a bit of a turn and I was bedridden), she was rather abrupt telling me I should have rung her....erm, I would have to have a number for that, something she had not given me, nor did it appear on our social media page. Finally, the time after that, was when she was rude, loud and not at all nice to middle son after admonishing him for not going to group without me when I was ill, middle son tried to explain that he couldn't leave me as I was completely reliant and not at all well and he had had strict instructions from the medical team that I was not to be left on my own whatsoever (and as a non driver, it would have been an hour walk there and an hour back, so not a quick outing) but she was having none of it.

We didn't make our decision straight away, we let ourselves calm down and get over the heat of the moment but in the end decided that we wouldn't be returning.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Morning all, it's dry this morning but rain forecast for this afternoon so as the bedding was still a bit damp after being on the airer overnight decided to hang it out for a couple of hours but unfortunately no breeze so it's just hanging there so may end up back on the airer again later!

Bet you're glad to be able to get back to normal @bubbs!  Great that you've got all your washing done, dried and hung up - that's brilliant.  Certainly worth getting it done for you - it's what we do sometimes when we come back from our one month away in the motorhome, particularly the bedding!

You seem to get loads of donuts from your HEB!  Is that because you use loads of natural yoghurt with it to make it a bit sloppier?  Ice cream again too!

That new consultant of your @SingleSue sounds awful so don't blame you leaving the group.  No reason why you can't carry on with SW and just post on here.  It's what I'm doing now - not been to group for 8 weeks so about to lose access to the website so using this thread will help keep me in check!!!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
L - burger, onions, gherkin slices in soft pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - confit duck leg, potatoes, veg - S; F; 10?

    HEA - milk
    HEB - soft pitta
Syns - LF sausages 2; LF burger 0.5; confit duck leg 10?

Can someone check to see if confit duck leg is on the app/website for me please to see how many syns as I've actually lost access from today - still had access yesterday so should have checked then knowing that's what we were having today!  Thanks.

    Have a good day everyone.

Complete change of plan for today!!!!  Forgot we need to go out around lunchtime for a hospital appointment so today's plan has changed to:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
L - fry up (this will really be more like a brunch as we'll have it about 11 or so)
D - confit duck leg, potatoes, veg

Will now have the burgers tomorrow!

@joedenise the confit duck leg seems to vary between 5.5 and 8.5 per serving depending on the brand M&S -W8rose and 7.25 Lidl.

Thanks @maddiemay.  I'll leave it as 10 as mine came from France where I suspect they leave a lot more fat round it than they would in our supermarkets!

@SingleSue. So glad you now have a bungalow.
The new SW consultant sounds dreadful.

Good to hear from you @SingleSue. Very disappointing that you lost your consultant and members are obviously voting with their feet.

I do hope you keep up the healthy eating, you have all done so well. Just ask if you want any syn values. 😊

I love those tins of confit from France @joedenise. I know it says reheat in a frying pan on the instructions but I always did mine on a rack, over the baking tray, in the oven. That way, a lot of the fat drained away so cutting out some syns.

We enjoyed them with dauphinoise potatoes made with low fat creme fraiche and an easy side my French niece taught me. It was basically a jar/tin of peas and carrots with a fried onion. I'm hungry just thinking about it. 😋 The French are really good with their tinned ready meals and vegetables although frozen has increased over the years.

The keema curry was a success. I made loads so there's a portion in the freezer and I kept out some for my lunch. Also portioned up the chilli, some meals for 2 and some individual portions for a JP.

Next time I make the keema, I'll use less meat and more veg like I do with Bolognese. Yesterday I just used onions, carrots and tomatoes and (free) peas but I think mushrooms would work and maybe peppers. 🤔

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEA milk for drinks
    L JP (F), keema curry (P, F, S), pickles and mushrooms (S)
S Hairy Bikers braised steaks (P, S), SW roast potatoes (F), many Speed veg
    Syns - weekend wine 😁
