    Afternoon all.

Hope your friends enjoyed their cruise @maman - my mum keeps checking the webcams and sending me links panicking about the big waves when they go on their cruise.  Have to keep reminding her she's going in July and going to Norway where it will be fairly calm 🤞

Good luck with dry January @Longwalker and @Jellybaby.  I rarely drink myself as always the designated driver when going out and just don't fancy drinking in the house much so will probably accidentally be joining you both!

Breakfast today was ff yogurt and blueberries, lunch was a picky plate of some leftover meats, pickles, clementines, cheese and crackers and dinner tonight is a ham, turkey and leek potato topped pie with some roasted carrots and broccoli.  Will probably have leftovers but it will be the last of the christmas stuff, hopefully!

Hope you're all having a good day.

Afternoon all, much better today after the horrendous wind and rain yesterday!

Went to group this morning and actually managed a STS - according to my scales it was a gain of lb over what I weighed a couple of weeks before Christmas although as mentioned previously I'd actually gained about 4lb but obviously managed to shift that and a bit more!

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
D - salmon, air fried cubes of potato, mange tout, green beans, peas

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have a glass of wine later

Hope everyone is staying safe after the storms and flooding over the last couple of days.

@joedenise well done on the STS

I have transferred my weights and details into my new book - I wasn't going to bother  but decided to do it and I'm glad I did as it's given me the kick up the whatsit I needed.  Last nights meal with friends was fantastic, but a disaster SW wise.

    Today
    B overnight oats
    L pea soup
D ham egg and SW wedges with pea shoots and tomatoes.

Am desperately hoping to not gain on Friday but think I will have - I have gained the last 3 WI's so really need to STS or lose.  It's "only" been 1/2 lb and a pound, but they are starting to mount up now.  If not this week then definitely the following week.

STS is great @joedenise! 👍I'd definitely settle for that. Was that your last WI before you go to the Canaries? 🤔

Friends got back safely this morning @ruby_eskimo. They missed out on Bruges yesterday as too rough to dock but enjoyed themselves.

I had one Quality Street last night but otherwise not tempted by the LO cake and biscuits etc. DH can work his way through those.

Enjoy your Zumba @VALM. I was pleased with how I coped with dance class last night. I'm going again tonight.

Hope you got through yesterday evening OK @Longwalker. When I first cut back it was hard at first but it does get easier.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
    L JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- HM burgers (P), SW chips, peas (F), tomato, mushrooms and green stuff (S)
Syns - LTL mayo 1 and probably another Quality Street! 🤣

I was pleased with STS today as it was actually better than my scales were saying this morning!

@maman - it was going to be my last WI but I need to go next week to collect the Air Fryer book as couldn't buy one today as she was out of stock.  Will check on Tuesday that's it will be there Wednesday morning otherwise I'll give it a miss until mid February!

I'm sure your DH will be happy to work his way through the LO cake and biscuits!

Glad you enjoyed your dancing last night and well done on going again tonight!  Think I'd be exhausted if I did that.

Enjoy your free Zumba class tonight @VALM.  Think that would be too energetic for me!  My energy seems to run out by about 7pm, LOL!

@Valm - not the worse at all. That was my hardest hurdle, finding something to have for the evening munchies which wasnt bread. I wound end up some nights making air fryer chips just to get that comfort fix. It passes so dont be beating yourself up over it . Trouble with bread its too easy down the hatch and doesn't actually fill me . Enjoy Zumba

@joedenise , great result on the STS

@mrsporridge , seeing it all written down in black and white does help. Back in the day of WW, they had a saying, if you bite it, you write it, so everything eaten was accounted for and pointed, rather like the food diaries from SW. They did keep me on track

@maman , such restraint with the choccies. And two dance classes? Im impressed

Yes Ive day one under my belt. First day is always hard as its all too easy to say start tomorrow - rather like shifting weight

Day off today , had the dentist, just a check up and then we headed down to Dobbies. Its only just opened up here before Christmas so was excited to see it. OMG its HUGE. Could have spent a fortune if I had it lol Had lunch there , ham egg and chips. However the chips were oven chips - well air fried, as were the eggs,- so not as bad as it sounds, and I couldn't finish them

Im still stuffed so wont be bothering with dinner tonight , might have a snack later. Seeing as Im not drinking, Ive syns a plenty to use :)

@Longwalker I love Dobbies, its certainly worth joining their Club Plus.  I think its £12 a year and for that you get two free hot drinks every month.  DH and I go once a month for the breakfast and the two free drinks (on a Friday after WI)!  You also get points for any plants or anything you buy.

    Hi all,

Hope everyone is okay and hasn’t been too inconvenienced or affected by Storm Henk. Seems like the worst one yet. We had a tree come down near the station and it hit a woman – she was taken to hospital. Just glad DD is off this week as could have been her! Loads of debris on the paths, but warmer and calmer today.

Food last night ended up being Aldi skinny sausages and a mountain of veg – carrots, sprouts and peas. It really filled me up. We then went to our local Aldi (very poor parking and stock levels so I usually go to one further away). Just needed fruit, yoghurt, milk, eggs, chicken breast plus some cleaning items. No chicken breast so have had to go to Sainsburys today for some. We are planning a curry tomorrow, so now it’s bought DH can make a start on dinner for when I get home

Food today has been  – overnight oats, leftover veg chilli with couscous, satsumas and an apple however we have a glut of cured meat to use up that wasn’t put out on NYE and I can’t bear waste. We had a picky tea of meats, pickles, cheese and crackers. We were going to the cinema to see One Life but I’m in too much pain

Cystitis was slightly better yesterday but woke me up at 5am and has been bad all day. I’ve stuck to water and got some more meds at lunchtime so I’ve dosed up. Colleague said I should go take a sample to the medical unit but I’m too embarrassed. Might do though if it’s still bad on Friday!

Cheering you on @Longwalkeras you abstain this month. You’ve done it before and can do it again – keep on keeping on, proud of you xx

Well done on the STS @joedenise great result xx

Sorry to see @HotDog2020 go so soon, but weightloss is a very individual thing so I wouldn’t want anyone feeling anxiety over it.

    Have a good evening all

    Coxy xx

High five @Longwalker✋ me too, so far so good.

Started back at work today, WFH, but had to finish at lunchtime. Completely lost my voice and ears so sore may have infection but on the bright side cough is better and nose has stopped running two miles in front of me.

Food today hasn’t been great as I’ve felt sorry for myself and nibbled.  Planning an early night with my book.
