Well Buddy and I survived the night, his temperature broke around 2am and he peed for England - all over the kitchen floorHes actually looking food today
So I at least got a couple of hours sleep and Ive not got work today so Im having a very very very lazy dayKind of went way off plan yesterday, Started well, then cos I knew I was running straight out the door, took a wee cup ( tea cup when I say wee here ) of tomato soup that was for the bin, but then it went pear shape, there was a big zillion calorie a look cake being dumped, so it was a case of who wants some, and I tucked in to half a slice . So I said to myself that will do me for the night now, not realising I was in for such a long night and at 1am I went for a pate sandwich - on white. So two let downs - not enough food and the food I did consume was high calorie
Still today is a new day and Ive planned for a chicken curry tonight - all free Not hungry as yet although been up since 6am and at least being at home I can make something salady when I do get hungryWhats really annoying me is I know where the campylobacter came from , only I cant prove it as I threw out the sourceCooked chicken I bought in from work. The so called "head chef" has some seriously dodgy practices when it comes to chicken, seriously bad. If I hadn't thrown what I had away I would have got EH involved. Im going to have a word in my managers ear, not accusatory , but say, my dog was seriously ill, and the only thing he had been fed was chicken from the kitchen which is true. I came home with it Friday, still hot, I fed him with it that night then stored it in the fridge when it got cool enough, fed him with it Saturday and the Saturday evening he started with the loose stools. I didnt realise it was more then just a passing thing so fed him with it again on the Sunday and it was Monday he got worse, needing out every half hour or so

Does the food from the kitchen not need testing daily? When I worked in a school kitchen absolutely everything had to be tested to make sure there were no problems with anything.
I'm glad that buddy is brighter today so at least the antibiotics are doing their job. You definitely deserve a very very very lazy day after being up half the night!

I can tell you what Ive seen around the kitchen, part cooked chicken fillets just left lying on the benches and I was in the fridge last week and there was a tub of breadcrumbs with chicken goujons in it !!!!Seriously its a pure health hazard. EH were down last month after a complaint which I was involved in. Coleslaw went out, it was sour. The "chef" denied it saying he had put lemon in it for flavour!!! I passed that comment to the customer and told them to do with it what they wished - they called EHHes no more a chef then Im the Queen of Sheba and the two that can actually cook have no say. I encouraged a customer to go to the store manager yesterday with her complaintLuckily most of the meals are frys, toasties and soup. Its the chicken that scares the carp out of me1 -
Didn't get around to posting yesterday, the day ran away with me, but did read on my phone. I stayed on plan with just 1 syn of LTL mayo.
Any news on the job situation @Coxy11? 🤔 Must feel like Groundhog Day. ☹️
I'd certainly tell your employer about Buddie's illness @Longwalker. I'm sure you could put it such that they should know just in case the chicken was the source. Just imagine how you'd feel if customers fell ill and you said nothing.
It's always a problem with SW when life throws up the unexpected. All we can do is keep in touch with the plan and return ASAP.
I did manage to put soup in the SC before I went out yesterday. I had some for lunch today and rest in the freezer.
Tomorrow will be potentially very off plan. The positive is that, being Friday, I'd have been having lots of syns anyway. 😁 We're out for lunch and then out again in the evening. As won't want two full meals, the evening at the pub is likely to be chips and something. So pleased I'm not going to WI any time soon. 🤣
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, blueberries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
L- LO savoury rice, lentil and bacon soup (P, S, F)
D- beef (P), mash, LO gravy (F), veg (S)

Still not feeling brilliant @bubbs, thanks for asking. Sorry to hear you're on flood alert again - not surprised you're feeling Ucked off!!! You definitely don't seem to have eaten your usual amount of food. Good luck for a loss this week. Think I'm going to syn a hot toddy tonight before I go to bed - have got plenty of syns available so no big deal and hopefully it'll help me sleep better. I even went to bed for a nap this afternoon - can't remember the last time I needed to do that!

🤞you won't be evacuated again tonight @bubbs. It's getting beyond a joke. ☹️
Hope the hot toddy does the trick @joedenise, at least you should sleep well. I find it's the tiredness that's getting to me.
No special occasion tomorrow @bubbs just that we're meeting friends for lunch and going to the pub to watch football in the evening. It's my birthday next month and a family wedding. It's all in the 8 weeks between WIs. Anyone would think I'd planned it. 😁🤣0 -
