We didn't get the promised rain either @maman but I didn't get any washing done.  Will do some tomorrow though as the forecast is better.  Only need to go to the Post Office first thing but other than that nothing else needed outside.  Will just be a bit of boring housework once back home!

Forgot to say DH is smoking a couple of pieces of pork loin for bacon so lovely fresh bacon tomorrow with plenty to be frozen.

  • Glad you're okay bubbs. I imagine it must be so stressful, but you're right. You were able to be safe in a hotel. So many wouldn't be able to.

I always try to think that when I am stressed or in pain or whatever, at least I am in a safe home with a hot water bottle, paracetamol, food and drink etc. Not in a refugee camp up to my knees in cold mud with no way to dry clothes or protect my children. Certainly puts life into perspective.

Exactly Rose and thanks, also there are people here that have not returned since Jan1st's flood and it don't look like they will be any time soon, the site is a mess with trenches dug all out of streets , must be costing these people an absolute fortune!!

  • Thank you all, yep it really has been a carp week

    I drew the line

Dont know why I even ordered that first drink, I was happy enough on the coke. I think its been on the cards to happen since the end of January , even though I know I cant stop at one, I had to see for myself

Also I had already cocked up on food for the day,  white bread went down the neck like there was no tomorrow, and OMG have I suffered today for it. I was in so much pain I had to go into town to buy something. I thought a good dose of Andrews would sort me, but nope, cant buy that any more so ended up with some tablets for IBS, it eased it slightly, just waiting to take another one before I get to bed. White bread is now definitely off the menu

Poor Buddy ( dog ) also has an upset tummy, I was up and down letting his out about 6 times last night and he still managed to poo all over the hall - and again today. Running out of him poor love. I think it was the chicken I brought in from work as it was only that he had other then his kibble   Ive let him up on the bed for tonight so I can hear when he wants out

So line was drawn and today Ive been speed and free all day. Yoghurt and fruit twice, a huge green salad and a HEB wholemeal pitta pizza , a couple of green teas and a can of Diet Coke

@bubbs, Id be going scatty with all that upheaval Kudos that you are keeping so cheerful

@beanielou, no mention of any treatment made, but then I never saw my usual optician. Im to go in to pick my glasses so I will speak to someone then. Right now Im finding reading and watching the tv difficult in the evenings , I cant work out O's and C's, P's, K's. E's and have double vision. Also the hallucinations are getting worse

@NornIronRose ,my first sub 45 :) Ok by all of 5 secs and my gawd, my legs knew it today. Im a walker, not a runner and usually get round in 50, this afternoons 5k ( road walking)  was 52, so where I pulled that 45 from I dont know and I doubt it will ever happen again :)

Ive a couple of days off now which I really really need. I have good food in, lots of fruit and salad, yoghurt made and Ive plenty of time to come up with decent SW meals so Im going to make this week work for me

Morning all, as I said yesterday I've done a machine load of washing and have it out on the line.  Just after I sat down I thought I could hear rain but couldn't see it out of the window and it was raining out the front but still brilliant sunshine out the back!  It's stopped now so only a very short shower and hopefully it will happen again and my washing can dry.

We're going out to look for new chairs today as we've not been happy with the ones we bought since just after we got them - they are getting more and more uncomfortable.  Will keep us out of mischief for a while as we're going to include IKEA which is nearly 50 miles away!

Glad to hear you've drawn the line @Longwalker and are back on plan.  Hopefully by next WI you will have been able to pull it back and get at least a small loss.

    Today's plan:

    B - baked oats; blueberries; raspberries; grapes; yoghurt - HEB; S; F
    L - cold meats; feta;  olives; salad - HEA2; P; S; F; 1.5
    D - LO lamb, chips, beans, mushrooms - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk.
HEA2 - feta (part)/ LO rice pudding (part)
    HEB - oats
    Syns - olives 1.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Hopefully your washing line is at the back of the house @joedenise! 🤣

I'm amazed that, for someone who finds it hard to have enough Speed, you can eat sprouts @MrsPorridge. 🤔☹️ They're about the only vegetable I avoid. Quiche is a good choice as it has Speed in it before you add the sides. 👍

Having a few days off is just what you need after last week @Longwalker. 🤞your DH is in a better mood and there'll be nothing to derail you.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, blueberries ((S), banana (F)
L ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
S salmon (P), hassleback potatoes (F), green stuff, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
    Syns - 0

Pleased to say that the washing line is at the back of the bungalow @maman!  It was only a very short sharp shower so wouldn't have made the washing any wetter as I'd only just put it out anyway!
