Hi all,
Sorry to be MIA. Went to group on Saturday and STS which was a tad disappointing after a good 5 solid days on plan but that's the way it goes sometimes. Had a buffet lunch on Saturday where I stocked up at the salad bar and had a single chicken thigh with the biryani. Did have a couple of mini desserts though! Sunday was roast chicken mmmmm.
Today went awry quite early on. DH phone at 9am to say his job is at risk. If this happens it'll be the 3rd time in 8 years and tbh he's just about had enough. I met him for lunch and we went for the healthy option of poached eggs, smoked salmon, smashed avo, grilled toms and halloumi. I couldn't finish the avo or toms as a massive portion. I also left half the toast, just having half a slice. Dinner is mushroom risotto.
Sorry you've had such upheaval @bubbs. Hope you're back in the holiday home now? x
Upsetting about your DH @Longwalker - hope you've had a better day today? x
Apologies to those who I've missed. Not intentional, just a bit overloaded right now xx

Morning all, woken up with another cold! Not long got over the last one or maybe it just didn't go properly although I definitely felt OK and back to normal. At the moment it's just a stuffy nose and a bit of earache so suspect my sinuses may be a bit blocked so hopefully won't take too long to shift this one!
Had to take DH's car into the garage for 8 this morning so not long had breakfast. Still need to go shopping but also have a nurse appointment this afternoon for a BP check. Have been checking it recently and the tablets are obviously doing their job and the readings have been fine - although the readings always seem to be much higher when I go to the surgery - white coat syndrome (even though they don't wear white coats, LOL)!
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs on toast - HEB; P
L - stuffed peppers - HEA2; S; F
D - cottage pie, veg - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
Syns - none planned
Have a good day everyone.

@Coxy11 so sorry to hear about DH's job - positive thoughts being sent his way. @maman sprouts! Haha, yes I absolutely love them! I have discovered that frozen sprouts are just as good as fresh so always have a bag in the freezer!
B pancakes (Yikes), I had two thin ones so say (8 syns), but will also use part of my HEA for them too - I never use my full allowance of HEA in tea/coffee
L crustless quiche with sprouts!!! and green beans
D jacket spud with beans and salad
I'm visiting my friend this afternoon for our sewing session and apparently she has made banana and walnut muffins - I'm going to have one and not worry.
Tomorrow we are off to the hotel for a night - with lots of food and drink so I'm just going to have overnight oats for breakfast tomorrow and then will enjoy it.
Still hoping for a maintain on Friday morning.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Damn! Just lost a long post. In short, thanks for all the retirement good wishes and wise words on being good when I can on the plan and careful when I can’t - that’s what I’m doing with mixed success 🤣
Think I’ve caught up with the chat. Sorry to hear about the flooding situation @bubbs and DH’s job @Coxy11.
Went to WI on Saturday and lost 1.5 surprisingly! Would love the same again this week but have lunches out the next three days so will definitely need to be careful!
