Morning all, hope the flood alert didn't happen @bubbs and that you are still OK. ย We've had loads of rain too but being at the top of the cliff we don't get flooded - just loads of huge puddles in the pot holes in the (unmade) road. ย It's finally stopped but no idea how long for as it was bad again during the night and early hours of this morning. ย It's windy today so hopefully that will dry some of the puddles up a bit.

Brilliant loss @NornIronRose - we all told you to trust the plan and that it didn't matter when you eat as long as you eat enough and stick to plan. ย Well done on your nearly 2 stone loss - I'm sure you have that next week if you carry on sticking to plan.

Have had to change the menu plan for today as need to eat early as DH has a hospital appointment early afternoon and it can easily take an hour or more to get there so the plan is to have lunch around 12 and leave about 12.30ish and if we get near the hospital early we'll pop into Dobbies and use our free hot drinks for this month (we didn't get round to going last month due to our holiday and unfortunately you can't carry them over!). ย We can spend a bit of time wandering around there as well as it's only about 10 minutes to the hospital from there.

    Today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash - P; S; F; 1
L - LO stew, air fried wedges (using some of those tiddly potatoes from the bag) - P; S; F
    D - fish pie, peas - P; S; F; 0.5 HEB; HEA

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk/cheese (0.5/0.5)
HEB - oats 0.5; Skinny crisp light 0.5

Have a good day everyone and keep safe.
  • As long as Mr Bubbs is happy with your love affair with Percy @Bubbs - and the scales - just keep on enjoying :)
How's the Flooding? ย For us living in a very wet country we get very little in the way of flooding. Sure we have water running down the roads, but they are passable. Think its probably because its such a rural country , plenty of fields to take the excess , even though they look more like lakes in the winterย

Thats a bummer @maman, a gain from out of the blue :( Its so much more easier to understand when you know yourself that you haven't been on the ball. Still it is only a pound and soon shifted. Those couple of months I was at target thats how it went for me - up one week, down the nextย

@Mrsporridge, I have to echo everyone else, thats not enough food. I struggled terribly when I went back to work, I barely ate and barely lost. And I was hungry at points in the day. So now Ive settled on the yoghurt and fruit, something I can snack at during my shift so I dont go hungry and I slip in some baby bels jic and Im partial to a biscuit with my cuppa when I come in from work - go me - a cuppa and a biscuit instead of a large scotch :) and a very healthy dinner and then perhaps another yoghurt later in the evening. When I say healthy - Im sorry to say - VEG. With that hummus Id have taken a pitta and some more salad bits and heated the pitta to split it, slathered in the hummus and then piled in the salad. Wholemeal Pitta is a HEB or 6 syns. I also wouldn't skip weigh in. All to easy then to say sod it, off the rails now, and give up. Keep facing the scalesย

@Coxy11, burger in a bowl sounds pretty good. Im taking it that it really needs the sauce to make the dish? I was thinking what I could make for supper on Saturday - I shall take a look at that again and probably add wedges ( do tend to only eat once on a Saturday )

Great loss there @Nornironrose . As long as you are keeping to syns, getting in the speed, the weight loss follows. You have done so well and you seem to be finding your place where its working for you.I think we all have those struggles around the 3 month mark, its boring, the weight isnt shifting, Im being restricted, then something clicks and we get to that place where we spread our dietary wings and make food more interesting for us again and get back into it. Big knickers are compulsory at my age, I seriously prefer comfort to style and you know something, I dont "garden" anymore so need somewhere to tuck everything :)

The downfalls of living in the country is how long it takes to actually do anything. I had to leave here at 11 for an 11;30 appointment, never got called until nearly 12 ( Id parked on a 1 hour no return ) so time I got tested it was 20 past and I had to just pay and run back to the car. Found a new parking spot - Thanks to Mr T ( no doubt another parking ticket due ) and headed back into town. Mooched about a couple of shops, I wanted just a couple of plain cheap skinny rib jumpers - polo or turtle - I may as well looked for unicorn poo. Nothing unless cashmere and a fortune. Also I want a foundation. Since Ive stopped drinking my skin has really cleared up but I haveย Set derm with gives me rosey red forehead, cheeks and chin - rather like rosacea. Now I did get a sample of the Estรฉe Lauder serum, which I love, but a tad too pink on me, so went to get more in different shades, and then cos that costs a kings ransom , went to boots and got some samples from them. Next thing I know its 2;45 and Ive not food shopped. Time I did that and got home it was just after 4 - and guess who hadn't had a bite all day?

Made up for it at dinner. Had "picky"plate. I was craving eggs and cheese, so scrambled eggs, 30g of some very good cheddar, half a tin of tuna, and a big pile of salad and two pittas. Six syns and I was totally stuffed. ย I think Im back on track :) Im doing a Chinese type dinner for them tonight, I will stick to just the special fried rice and pork with ginger and spring onions, I picked up some fattening ready Chinese stuff heavily reduced from Marks, so basically its going to be a full on banquet for them :)

Right - off to walk the dog then get ready for work xx
  • Thanks Longwalker. I belly laughed at your gardening comment. Needed that today!ย

Hope you don't get a parking ticket. Have a great day at work!ย

    Morning all,

I wimped out of running this morning as the forecast said 70% chance of rain. Well I got up at 6.30am and it was dryish so couldโ€™ve gone after all. No matter, will try for Sunday instead.

Well done on the loss @NornIronRose thatโ€™s amazing.

    Hope youโ€™re safe and dry @bubbs x

Hope the hospital appointment for DH goes okay @joedenise โ€“ is that MM?

Recipe for BIAB is on the app @Longwalker and @maman โ€“ 2 syns for the burger style dressing

I too laughed at the โ€˜gardeningโ€™ comment.

Watched Ben Fogle Lives in the Wild last night and it featured Great Blasket โ€“ off the west coast of Ireland. Young couple went there to caretake the island for 6 months. DH and I reckon we could just about cope with that without electricity or killing each other!

Very quiet here today โ€“ one boss on bereavement leave and the other at another site. Need to meal plan and organise a food shop for tomorrow or Sunday morning, so will sneakily do that whilst trying to looking busy.

Welcome Gill.โ˜บ๏ธ If it's not too expensive a starter pack would, at least, give you the gist of how SW works. Alternatively, you could go to one SW meeting, get the books and the introductory talk and then go to it alone. ๐Ÿค”

I don't want to put you off but, although it's possible to do the plan with ready meals (Iceland sell the SW ones), it works best with cooking from scratch. Are you mobile enough for that? ๐Ÿค”

Well done on your loss @bubbs and your decision to drop your target. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I'm going to Sleeping Beauty, the ballet, tonight and need to shop before an early dinner. Will catch up later.ย
