  • A whole box???? OMG I think id be sick. Not that Ive ever bought them, cos whenever we have a taster session, the SW sweet stuff people make is so desperately sweet, teeth curling sweet to me, so I avoid them

NSV's are the dogs dangly bits @Nornironrose , really keeps a person lifted :) And big knickers isnt cheating, its making the best of what we have :) I wear shape wear under dresses and Im very selective over what kickers Im wearing with what. Im very much a full brief woman these days, dont need anything popping out the sides and looking like squished sausages under my clothes. Can see this wee apron ever becoming flat again so its contain and disguise for me :) Good luck with WI tomorrow

@VALM, stop beating yourself up, Draw the line and start again with your next meal.So what if you are out of syns. Blowing the whole week will cause more damage then just a day or two. You can pull it back, limit the damage

I used to weigh in on a Wednesday at 7pm. 8:30pm Id be at the petrol station buying my family bag of crisps, then home, a huge crusty roll filled with salami and cheese - and as many crisps I could fit in, soft that, washed down with at least 6 large scotches and demolish the rest of the crisps. Sure I "allowed" myself that blow out cos I had a whole week to pull it back. Only, I was just a day away from the weekend and weekends meant more drink then you could shake an empty bottle at so in reality , the real truth is - I only ever spent 3 days a week on plan

So I changed to Saturday mornings. I will still have a blow out either Saturday or Sunday - I now have five days of getting back on plan. The blow outs rarely happen now but I do go off plan quite a bit, I just do my best to have at least 4 on plan days a week. Now Im fighting for those last few pounds, its four speed days and Im still losing

Im so ruddy tired I can barely see straight, Im posting this and heading for bed. Work was hard on me today, there was just me waiting and clearing tables and it was steady enough. I felt my eyes going on my drive home so had to open the window to keep me awake

Food wise, Ive kind of lost the plot at the moment. Im doing good with the fruit and yoghurt combo for work, but Ive been picking again, half a tray bake, handful of dried fruit, half a potato bread. Not a lot I know but its really made me feel bloated and the size of a house, So much so I skipped dinner and just had a yogurt and pear for dinner.

Lol, I know Im tired, nodded off twice whilst typing that :)

Morning all, can't believe how heavy the rain was last night and the wind howling as well.  At least it's not raining at the moment and the wind has calmed down as well.  I'm glad I managed to get my bedding washed, dried and put away so all OK for another week washing wise whilst the forecast is for rain, rain and more rain!

@NornIronRose - agree with @Longwalker nothing wrong with using big knickers to help with your shape especially if it makes you feel good and you've been getting compliments so must be doing the job they're designed to do.

@VALM - my old consultant always used to use the comparison of a vase of roses - if one died you wouldn't throw the whole lot away - it's the same with going off plan.  There are 7 days in a week and 21 meals in a week so make the most of the ones where you aren't off plan - loads of Speed essentially.  Even try a few SP days - it seems to work for some people but I just find I don't feel full on without the carbs!

I thought you'd gone mad with boiled eggs when I saw that picky plate @bubbs and then realised you had Babybels as well!

Need to go out again this morning to the main post office to pick up the forms for DH to renew his driving licence (he needs to keep the over 3.5 tonne C1 bit of it so can't renew online).  Have to go to the town in the opposite direction because we no longer have a main PO on the Island.  I want to pop into M&S and Sainsbugs as well so will do that today as well as that's the same town.

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs; toast - HEB; P
    L - sweet chilli noodles - P; S; F
    D - chicken curry, pilau rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 3

    Have a good day everyone.

I've known people who have a bit of a blow out on WI day too @Longwalker but I manage to wait until the weekend. I think my ideal day would be either a Friday or Saturday morning, depending on whether you count your weekend as 2 or 3 days !🤣 I chose my Thursday group as it's the most geographically convenient and I find by having my meals organised from Friday to Friday then I'm not tempted on Thursday evening.

That's a big area without a main PO @joedenise. Good idea to get other things done while you're in the next town. While I always do my main shop once a week between Aldi and Sainsbury's,  I do take advantage of other places when I'm out and about doing other things. I think you have to be very mse though to make sure you only buy what you need or real bargains that you know you'll use.  I've read such horror stories on here (not this thread😇) where people spend loads every week on 'top-up shops' where they go in to buy a pint of milk and come out £s poorer!

Ended up with just Puffed Wheat this morning as DH made breakfast and thought it was WI day! 🤣 I'd obviously confused him by mentioning last night that I was bringing WI forward. Still, no harm done having a light breakfast the day before as well.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA1 milk
L- LO hotpot and veg (P,S,F)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,S,F) with HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

I love big knickers - so comfortable!

I weigh at 9am on Friday morning so have a blow out that day - although as time has gone on I haven't blown out as much as I used to!

    Todays plan:
    B overnight oats (HEB)
L 2 hard boiled eggs, sw hummus, pea shoots, tomatoes and a satsuma
D ham, wedges and green beans
S banana, FF yog and a meringue nest (2.5)
Debt free and Keeping on Track

That looks like a good menu again @MrsPorridge. Well done on getting Speed in. 👍

We're all different. I like something to look forward to at the weekend. SW is officially designed to have a daily treat. It works for me but some consultants would frown on not going (literally) by the book. 🤔

I vary between having loads of syns at the weekend and damage limitation on the other days to having syns every day!  Obviously it's still damage limitation every day at the moment with trying to get back into target range by next Wednesday!  I weighed again this morning and I'm still about 1.5lb outside top end of target.  I'll see where I am next Tuesday before deciding if I'm weighing next week or the week after which I think will be week 7.

I'm very disciplined whenever I go shopping and just stick to my list.  There are certain things I buy from specific shops which is why I need to go to the next town fairly frequently.  It's where my DD1 lives so usually we'd pop in and see her but didn't today with both DH and I still not being 100%.

I am not good at food planning atm, my normal way is to have a list of possible meals from freezer/fridge/stores and deciding what to eat when at earliest the night before (freezer), or during the day depending on who is doing what and when/ and my level of fatigue.  OH is good and very used to me switching things around at the last minute. He drives me mad never putting forward suggestions for meals, but on the other hand seems to eat and enjoy whatever he gets.

I went along to the morning session today, having been really poorly for the last 3 days, (I had missed last week - having bumped into friends while out and about near County town and stayed out chatting with them), my own scales suggested about 1.5 pounds off then, having eaten hardly anything and spending majority of my time in the bathroom I clocked in at 5.5 pounds off this morning and smack on target weight, still not very hungry, but will try not to eat rubbish.  Tonight hoping to make a mushroom risotto with green veg on the side, but no brassica /beans/pulses for a while.

The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)
