Hi all,
I faced the music yesterday and weighed in at 1.5lb out of target range. I knew I would be, so that's fine. This past week has been okay meal-wise but there have been snacky bits and some cakes at work. I really need to avoid this at all cost. I am shopping for a MOG wedding outfit at the end of the month, so need to get my head in the game.
We stayed at BFF's last night and her DH is a chef, so proper, rich carbonara with lovely garlic bread, followed by lemon tart for pud. Fresh fruit salad followed by doorstop bacon sandwiches this morning. OMG. Never mind. We are cooking roast beef later and I have meal planned for the week, so back on it tomorrow.
Welcome @MikeJXE - some good advice from others already - keep posting x
Well done on completing Dry January @Longwalker and also the wonderful loss and new shiny this week - huge congrats!! Hope all goes okay tomorrow x
Oh no to the power loss @bubbs
Hope you're both okay after your falls @beanielou and @maddiemay - take it easy x
That's terrible about your colleague @NornIronRose - I dread needing emergency treatment as work at my local hospital and it's chaos at times (most of the time actually...)
Great to win the raffle @VALM but annoying about the 0.5lb. At least you know where it's come from. Good luck for this week x

I find a food diary really helps me focus @VALM, mainly because I write down every single syn and it highlights if I'm having the right balance of protein, carbs and Speed food. I don't write down drinks (except HEA milk) but make sure you have plenty of fluids too. ☺️
That's not a huge amount out of range @Coxy11. If you try to be low syn for the rest of the week then you might be back in by next Saturday. 🤞 It would be good to be at target for your wedding outfit. What sort of thing are you looking for? 🤔
If you were local to me @Longwalker, I'd lend you a coat for tomorrow. 😁 I kept very little when I put on weight except for some silk dresses and a lovely black velvet coat that I couldn't part with.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB muffin, HEA milk for drinks, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L JP (F), chicken curry (P, S), leaves and pickled cabbage (S)
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes, parsnip and LM stuffing (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns - HM gravy 4, weekend wine 😁0 -
I had a good night out with my friend and ended up having two large glasses of wine. But, counting my syns for the week is going to save me! I didn't feel like saying "blow it", I now I can cut down the rest of the week.
B pancake, egg, bacon mushrooms from the SW magazine 3.5 syns
L Pasta with mince, veggies, spinach and some reduced fat cheddar (HEA)
It was a late breakfast and lunch, so will just have a snack tonight of megingue nest (2.5 syns) with toffee yoghurt (1/2 syn) and banana
59 syns left for rest of week.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Evening all 😁
Yes the power came back on at 9, but 6 hrs without is a long time! But hey ho all is good now 😁
Longwalker, hope tomorrow goes as well as these things can, your comment about diddy men made me chuckle, not heard that for ages!
Valm , you will get that off an more this week.
The lady we are renting off came today to check everything is ok, she said to me bloody hell you have lost some weight! I said since last year only 1/2 stone, but actually it's about 3/4 stone as i was top end of target and now i am out the bottom , but she is not the first one to say it so i must look different🤷♀️
Denise, glad you are feeling a bit better.
