Out with the girls last night for an Asian night.
Lovely food & a raspberry gin or two & Prosecco.
    No syns counted.
Good to have a good night as this has been such a dire month for me, my MH & high pain levels.

Sounds just what you needed @beanielou. 👍 Do you think you'll be going to WI this week? 🤔

🤞the scales continue to be kind to you @Longwalker. I sat next to a man who lost 6.5lbs on Thursday. Some people just get big losses. It doesn't seem fair. 🤔 I averaged 1.5lbs when getting to target. There were a few decent losses but mostly small or STS.

I'm going to batch cook some brown rice pouches later. It really helps when I'm in a hurry to just ping one from the freezer.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs, ham (P), HEA milk
    L JP (F), tuna (P), salad and pickles (S)
D- SW Easy chicken curry (P, S), HM pilau (F)
    Syns - spread 1, LTL mayo 1, weekend wine😁
  • Got some yellow stickered beef mince earlier. What is your favourite recipe to use it?

I like to add loads of veggies and lots of tins of chopped tomatoes (to make the mince go further).  Then I would cook it and freeze it in batches.  Then use it with pasta, rice, jacket spud filling, cottage pie etc.

Glad you had a good night with the girls @beanielou x

Hope the nature walk went well @Longwalker - sounds right up my street.

We like chilli beef and veg stir fry with beef mince @NornIronRose - it's on the app if you search in the recipe section xx

Spag bol for us tonight. I have an Ocad0 delivery coming tomorrow morning between 7am-8am(!!!) but we are going to Canterbury to take DS2 for birthday lunch so it's the only time that fits. Didn't WI this morning - will try next week. Have consumed a 110g mini egg bar today - need to have a word with myself.

I'm a big fan of spaghetti Bolognese @NornironRose so would probably add loads of veg (carrots, peppers, mushrooms, courgette whatever you have) as well as the onions, tomatoes and herbs and seasoning and make a big pot of sauce to freeze in portions. I do mine in the SC. It's nice on a jacket potato too or you can make it into a cottage pie. I generally add in a handful of red lentils too as they make it go further and thicken it a bit.

Other options would be chilli or meatballs.
  • Thank you ladies. I've frozen one pack but need to do something with the other tomorrow. Just got invited out for a cuppa with my buddies. Last minute decision which is sometimes better than planning.

Think I will go for a bolog plus a chilli. Don't have any room in the freezer or fridge as they are both small, so will have to start planning rather than buying for a while. Also had defrosted chicken breast so will make a chicken tikka.

Had a bowl of spicy lentil, sweet potato and carrot soup for lunch with half hexb of wholemeal airfried croutons.
Then a bowl of sugar snap peas (super 6 in aldi this week and price- matched in Asda) plus some veggie mini sausages (3.5 syns and not nice enough to be worth it).

Have a wee dessert of quark, mint options (1.5 syns), skinny syrup and a choc cereal bar (half hexb) for later. Not great but helps with the dessert craving for me.

    Evening all

Well done to all the losers 😁

    Sorry i have been MIA!

It's been bloody manic here, trying to sort out for shutdown, took Mum shopping and we went Crem yesterday took some artificial flowers to Dad 🥰 as the bloody rabbits eat fresh ones!
Mum's had a stressful week, her chest freezer broke, she rang an independent shop in town, they delivered it less than 48hrs later , emptied her broken one, took the broken one up the top of the drive for her 😍  she rang the council to take the old one away £35!! she said don't i get anything off being a pensioner? 😂 no set price, but they could not collect till week next weds 🙄anyway she gets up to the loo yesterday at 6.45 and she always looks out and it was there, got up an hr later it had gone! She said i kept saying to myself it's bloody gone, it's bloody gone 🤣🤣so she rang the council up and asked them, no they hadn't collected, so she asked for her £35 back 😂 they are refunding her.

Last night at 6.30 the place we are going to for shutdown, 100's of people on there were getting emails from the company, you CANNOT go back 1st.............when we are due to go, due to no electricity ! So now is super panic mode , we are going to be homeless, I messaged the lady we are renting off, no she had not had an email, she was going down to check today, but as she comes from Brum i said do you want us to check? Yes please, so we went as there is a key safe. We couldn't get the leccy on so asked a neighbour who is also a friend, she came over as she had leccy so we should have, she had a fiddle and yes it's working 👏👏 DH said i will try the boiler, i said well let me go turn the water on, then he is shouting, turn it off! Water was !!!!!! everywhere! He noticed the connections were loose so tightened them, tried again, then it's pouring out from under the van 🙈🙈 so we turned it off again and i rang the lady. So 2 out of 3 ain't bad 🤣🤣 she is going to get a plumber.

What a few days! trying to get sorted out here as well to go!

Anyhow went weigh in and drum roll please 🤣🤣🤣 2.5 off!! couldn't believe it!

OMG @bubbs. What a drama, you couldn't make it up! ☹️ Hopefully it will get sorted very quickly so you don't end up homeless. ☹️

We've had that happen like your mum. There are contractors who tour around looking for scrap metal. They took our old dishwasher and I had a refund from Currys IIRC who were charging us to take the old one away.

Don’t know whether to congratulate or commiserate on the 2.5lbs. You're certainly doing well with losing. Maybe we should all try Percy Pigs? 🤔🤣🐷
