  • Snap @bubbs, had the same for tea here and it was lush. Only I used lidl sausages so 6 syns . Like you we are getting another battering, seriously I got blown off the curb into the road leaving work today. Nearly went down but managed  - just - to stay upright

@beanielou, yep its very very easy . I learned from too young an age that being half cut made everything bearable and for me, because I went through my teens with a serious drink habit, I never actually really matured, never grew up emotionally so could never really cope with the crap that life throws at us ( and I went through so much crap as a youngster ) . Any upset at all was drowned out . Yeah I was pretty messed up when I went into rehab, so much to unpick.

@coxy11 and @maman  , I have to say Im pretty impressed with the programme . Yes the format is a bit dumbed down but he really is getting information across without it all being too much to take in. I couldn't believe how much they were spending on food. Their shopping looked so good, how are they getting through the amount of takes outs on top of that lot I really dont know. No wonder they had so many health issues, mostly unseen, and thats the scary bit, realising that so many of us dont understand how quick the health issues rear their heads when the diet is so bad

I mean Im no expert on nutrition or diet. I was feeling quite smug with my now healthy BMI until I looked into cholesterol and body fat. The amount of body fat Im still carting around is in the obese range !!

And another day like today, Ill be in for a long time yet!! Yes a 6 syn dinner but I didnt mention the peanut butter toast this morning nor the picking at work :(

WI tomorrow but Im using that as a start point for my next target so it will be what it will be

    Hi all,

Glad you got some ostrich steaks @Jellybaby – let’s hope DS likes them after all that!

My goodness, please take care everyone when out and about. Seems as though we’ve got off lightly again in Greater London.

Good luck for WI today @Longwalker!

I have some leftover SW mushroom risotto for lunch today, along with 2 satsumas, an apple, some cherry tomatoes and a cheese portion. Tonight we are having a Tom Kerridge recipe of chicken in tomato, chilli and mascarpone sauce. I will cut back on the mascarpone to make it more plan-friendly. Will serve with mini boiled potatoes and green beans.

Tomorrow it’s DD’s graduation in Brighton and we will eat out afterwards. Looking forward to some family celebration time. I will be driving us back, so no alcohol syns for me. Will need to choose wisely as need to WI either this Saturday or next Saturday eeek.

Have a lovely day tomorrow @Coxy11. Enjoy your time with the family, then you can decide whether to go to WI on Saturday. Personally, I'd leave it a week and then you have grace week as well. That's 2 weeks from the graduation meal. Depends what your home scales are saying?? 🤔

    WI for me tomorrow. 🤞

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB muffin, HEA1 milk, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
    L - ham, egg (P), bubble and squeak (F, S), pickles (S)
    D- spaghetti Bolognese (P, S, F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns - 0
