That's good news @beanielou. You're still in target and that's what mattters. A few of your famous wee losses and you'll be back where you want to be. 😁

    Thanks Coxy & Maman.
A couple of reduced pain weeks would be most helpful to aid this!

  • Well done Beanie and Ruby.

Longwalker I absolutely take my hat off to you managing all that weight loss without grown up fruit and veg. Reminds me of the latest Stephen Nolan series (the name of which escapes me!)

    B nothing

    L fruit and a 3km walk

D pasta bolog with half hexa parmesan.

Afterwards a big bowl of sugar snap peas, apple and a few grapes.

    Hexb sugar puffs

A colleague in work is going to come with me to WI and join up this week which will give me a free week.

Booked and paid for a girls' holiday in May. Myself, DD1 (25), DD2 (17) and DD1's really lovely friend.

Got word today that my divorce should be done and dusted by mid March so that's another big milestone. Will be amazing to have a holiday without him. Just the girls and I. I can't begin to explain what a difference it will be.

Morning all, got back last night about 9pm and was absolutely shattered!  Why does travelling make you feel so tired - it just doesn't make sense- maybe it's just the boredom of the flight itself!!!

Absolutely next to nothing SW friendly indoors at the moment so need to do a meal plan and some shopping later today.  I won't be getting back to plan properly until tomorrow after shopping.

I've got plenty of washing to do - probably about 8-10 loads by the look of it and that's before I even bring out the basket with the clothes from just before we went away!  That'll keep me busy for a few days.  Pleased to see that the forecast from tomorrow for a few days is going to be dry and sunny so hopefully can get most of it line dry.  Just a bit of rain today so will probably only do one load and put it on the airer so at least it will be a start.

Have had a quick skim through but not a proper read.  Well done to all the losers and a particular well done to Beanie for actually still being in target when you hadn't expected it (but then you never do!!!).

As @beanielou says a new chapter begins for you @NornIronRose.  Where are you and the girls going for your holiday?

Right the only food I know we'll be eating today is porridge for breakfast with some frozen berries and dinner tonight will be duck leg with Boulanger potatoes and some frozen veg - like I said not completely on plan but at least there will be some fruit and veg!

Will keep up now until my next WI which won't be until mid February and hoping that by then I will be back in target🤞.

Back tomorrow and will be completely on plan!
  • @coxy11, those low and free are nice, had another last night , now I have none left cos Mr L has also decided he likes them :) And again last night, even though I didnt get to bed till 3am I didnt go looking for a biscuit

@ruby_eskimo , well done on the loss xxx  A half pound is a half pound and its gone - a result :)  Ive scraped in with 1/2 pound losses so many times this year cos of the chocolate but I sat and scoffed the last of it in one night and now there is none in the house - apart from some Baileys bunnies that have been there since Christmas 22 :) And Im going to have to be really desperate to tuck into those. I too am doing as many basic speed and free days as I can at the moment

@maman , thanks :) I used to be a produce manager for Sainsbury's back in the early 80's and I ate fruit until it sickened me. I loved it. But those were the days when we used to stock for the day only and shopping was done in lunch hours - no late nights - so fruit came in ripe and ready to eat AND IN SEASON  I used to have pear and peach juice running down my face , lips red with strawberry juice - oh how strawberry season was celebrated  :) And raw veggies galore. The smell of the deliveries in the morning would make you want to dive in head first. Our last delivery of fresh produce was a Friday - it had to last until Tuesday before fresh would arrive again so Mondays the only fruit and veg to be found was the hard stuff - spuds carrots and cabbage, apples and pears and bananas , same with provisions - dairy, bread, fish and meat  etc - nothing fresh in over the weekends till Tuesday. Cos back then the markets would close and not reopen till the Monday. You must remember that chippies didnt open Sundays and Mondays cos they never got fish till Tuesdays? And would often have sold out my mid evening on Saturdays

@beanielou - you are still in target so a result xxx It is so difficult when you are not well. Our consultant is always telling us - do what you can when you can and not to stress yourself when not well but to keep checking in so you can keep an eye on things so its easier to get back on track when firing on all cylinders. Yep a couple of speed days will have that sorted in no time  - but big hugs to you ((((HUGS))))

@nornironrose - Woohooo . Congratulations on the divorce AND the girls holiday!!! Will it be very messy?? - the holiday that is lol. Ive never been on holiday with the girls ( friends) , gone with couples but Id love a girly week away, im so excited for you

Welcome home @joedenise , hope you had a wonderful time. Yep flying, or actually any travel just kills me. Im usually asleep if im a passenger in a car within a mile or three but cant sleep on planes. Rather you than me with the washing, I hate that home from holiday job, clothes that have been in suitcases stink and even stuff not worn needs to go through and so many different cycles and the waiting for a load to finish - hell on earth for me. Meal sounds lush, I love duck and not had any for nearly a year - even though Ive cooked it for them ( with duck fat roasties!!!)

So last night I made a chilli with 5% chicken mince and I was surprised at how tasty it was - first time with the chicken mince, got 3x500gr packs for a fiver so had to buy it with no clue on what to make with it :)  Served on HM air fryer wedges and it was lush. I dont think it would have been so nice with rice. Everyone ate it so a win here. Thats my problem , finding something that will suit the three of us. Me and he will try anything but mum - well she pushes the food around the plate and I get annoyed so I have to always cook with her in mind - until Saturday when I cook just for me and him and we get to eat food we love :)  I was off yesterday and got caught up sorting out drawers and chucking out stuff so didnt actually eat a thing till around 4pm and two baby bels and a satsuma stopped me reaching for the bread - I was very tempted I have to say. I have the syns but Im trying to speed and free this week as much as I can.

Off to the hairdressers shortly then we have Marks and Spencers food hall opening today so will have a dander about it and see what they have that will tempt me. Our existing one is tiny, really tiny, just two side walls and a central gondola , they stock very very little , if I want a decent Marks I have to drive 100 miles round trip so this is mega exciting lol. The joys of country living at its best :)

So not sure whats on the menu today but it will be as speedy and free as possible. I might however treat myself to a coffee when out but I might not, I want to, but then I know Ill talk myself out of it come the time lol

Have a good day everyone xx

Morning all (just!)  Thanks for the encouragement everyone, feels like I've been away ages!

Well done on still being in target @beanielou

Welcome back @joedenise, hope you had a lovely time and the washing isn't too overwhelming!

Congratulations on the new start (almost!) @NornIronRose - I'm sure you'll have a lovely holiday with your girls.

I also thought kiwis were speed @Coxy11 but must admit haven't been following the plan to the letter for a while so was probably all in my head!

Your tales of fresh fruit and veg are making me hungry @Longwalker - I try to buy seasonally where I can but I still don't think we have good quality fruit and veg anymore.

Busy few days at work so have pre-made lunches for the week which consists of huge salads full of lots of veggies, leftover roast chicken and rediscovered love of cottage cheese for some added protein.  Had a couple of boiled eggs and toast for breakfast and dinner tonight is mushroom risotto.

Hope everyone is having a good day, better be heading back to my next Teams call!
