Yes, I gained half a pound @bubbs but that was over 8 weeks and still in range by two pounds so all good.👍

Tonight's curry was very good. SW recipe will definitely make again. I kept back a portion to have for my lunch tomorrow. 😋

@joedenise should be back from the Canaries soon. 🤔

  • @Bubbs, what drama, made my week a walk in the park !! Re the food, I have a day like that every now and then - today ( Saturday was mine ) but it evens out over the week so I dont fuss. Only I do feel naughty not having speed

@beanielou , hope you start to feel better soon hun. Its not good when you are struggling mentally and January is such a dirge month. Its hard enough juggling so much but add the weather and the long pay month to the mix, think January should be cancelled

@maman , sure as hell the scales are not fair :) Wednesday group, a man, second visit - 13.5lb off !!!!! Like what did he do - cut his throat? And a fella at my last Saturday weigh in - 10lb in the first week !! And you know neither of these guys were big, normal middle aged let themselves go types. I have to admit I sometimes spit feathers at the injustice of it all but Im still losing so I hold on to that ( just) :):@Coxy11

@coxy11, it was a great morning. Overslept so was a bit of a rush. The shower got missed, but it was so windy outside a hat was required so the bed hair was hidden :) Got the bacon rolls and coffee made though :) Obviously it was still pitch dark @7;30 but we all had head torches and off we set with the sun beginning to rise. Now it was interesting I have to admit, only the guide was very softly spoken and between the wind, the hat, the coat hood, was difficult to hear lots of what he said but heard enough to get the gist. The causeway area isnt just an AONB, its also an ASSI - area of special scientific interest. Its home to the smallest UK moth and the only place the smallest snail is found and is also home to sea mushrooms which are 500billion years old - the most basic of life forms. They are also trying new pastures , deeper growing grass which survive drought and erosion whilst putting more carbon into soil - all very interesting. We also learned about the Spanish Armada - a lot of the ships were wrecked along the coast here, 3000 men perished on the one sunk at the Causeway.  So a muddy and quite strenuous in areas, 5 miler had us looking hot coffee and food. The continental wasnt as bad as I thought, lots and lost of wee pots of different fruit ( I took the prunes ) wee pots of plain yoghurt and wee pots of granola - and I mean they were wee measured out portions - all good. Now they did have the pastries and the toast, but they also had apple and cinnamon bread and banana bread, so I had a piece of that and it was sufficient . Could have paid a fiver and had a fry but the continental hit the spot. And the coffee was decent as well :)

@Nornironrose I do the obvious - spag Bol, savoury mince, lasagne , but I will also make a Keema Curry. Supposed to use lamb mince but I use whatever I have, beef, turkey , chicken - whatever. Just need to adjust the seasoning a bit thats all - and its all free  - fill yer boots. I also stick in some spinach along with the peas and potatoes just for the extra veg

The weather is bad again here, the wind sounds as bad as it was with Isha and its sooooo cold. Well its not it actually hit 10oC today but OMG the wind chill would cut you. So I wanted comfort food and thats what we had. Home cut air fried chips - free, cheese HEB, and salt and chilli chicken - which I actually syned - 8 syns  so not a bad day, more syns then Ive had all week ( not counting the crisps ) so Im still thinking Im well on plan

I actually went to bed at 8:30 and was woken at 11:30 so Im sat here listening to the wind wishing I could fall back to sleep again. Ive a long shift tomorrow , hoping it will be quiet enough for me to get away @ 5 rather then 6

And another dry day under the belt  - 27 days now :)

Well done to all the losers and oh @bubbs I do hope things work out for you.

B salmon, pea shoots, leftover fried (fry light) roasties and scrambled egg
L/D turkey (last of the Christmas leftover) curry and rice
Snacks Muller light Yoghurt (1/2 syn), jelly and berries and Tunnocks tea cake (5 syns)

I have now gone mad for the Muller light yoghurts!!  Can you freeze them?  I wonder would they separate when defrosted?
