Well done on your loss @VALM.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ And congratulations on sticking with Dry January. πŸ‘

I've heard of people part freezing Mullers and eating them like an ice cream @MrsPorridge but no idea if they'd defrost well. Maybe try one as an experiment.

Good idea to have LO potatoes with breakfast. It means you can use your HEB for something else if you want.Β

The curry on my jacket potato was lush. πŸ˜‹ I must try a keema curry as I've plenty of mince in the freezer. It's not something I've ever had. πŸ€”

    Today's EE plan -Β
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)Β
    L- JP (F), chicken curry (P, S), pickled cabbage (S)Β
D- beef in 'red wine' (P.,S) , SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)Β
    Syns - cornflour 1, weekend wine 🍷

@maman ive made Keemar Mushroom today for Emma as she is vegetarian. Ive made Mushroo. Chilli for me. Its easier to use mushroom than mince and quorn mince for 2 different dishes.

    Hi all,

Lunch out yesterday was a choice of mainly burgers or baguettes eeek! I chose scampi, chips and salad, but didn’t eat all the chips – my boys helped me out. No pudding for me as learnt my lesson on Thursday that it is too much for me and I can’t stand the bloat.

Back on it this week. Food has been:

B - blueberry wheats (HEB), blueberries (S) and muller vanilla (0.5). I upped the amount of blueberries.

L - LO spag bol (free), a kiwi (free), mango chunks (free), cherry toms (S) and a cheese portion (HEA).

D - Spaghetti (free), arabbiata sauce and beef meatballs. Β The sauce is a Gino one, 4 syns for the carton, so will count 1 syn, plus 1 syn per meatball.

    HEA – milk

Seriously thinking of stopping eating chocolate for Lent. Not that I’m religious, but my craving/intake has been off the scale recently and I need to do something drastic. Will need to find another Muller flavour as the vanilla one has choc sprinkles!!

  • Im day 28 into dry January and well done to all of us that are still cracking on xxxx

@Coxy11, I particularly like the Low and Free Sticky toffee yoghurts - much more filling then the Mullers. I had one last night with some pineapple rings I had left in the fridge and I never found myself wanting a cheeky biccy late night/early morning. If you do come over let me know, Im 20mins away from it
    Β

@Maman, a Keema curry is just so easy, no need for lots of spices, a curry powder does, just it does take a bit of cinnamon and bayleaf. Its really just a flavoursome mince, peas and tatties , even mum will eat it and she doesn't do spiceΒ

@VALM - great result for you - well done xx The exercise does help doesn't it? I know my weight loss is always better if Im been keeping it going even if Ive strayed off planΒ

@Mrsporidge - just eat frozen. Leave out for 20 mins and its just like ice-creamΒ

@bubbs hope the shoulder eases for you. Try to get some gentle shoulder rolls and neck turns in - I look like a loon walking the dog doing them but they do help

Ok Ive been a virtual saint so far since weigh in on Wednesday !! All food has been on plan - Β AND - drum roll please - I actually had fruit yesterday !!! Yep proper grown up fruit, not just the frozen berries in the yoghurt :) I did a satsuma and a pear yesterday :) I was very lucky with the pears, they were the ripe and ready ones in the plastic casing from Tesco which are never ripe and ready and cost a fortune. I found them in the reduced section, gave a wee press and yep they were ripe. Finally a pear that had flavour and texture - loved it - going to have another one today ( go me ) lol

Did chicken and peppers and black bean sauce and special fried rice for dinner last night, came to 6 syns ( 1 tbsp oil ) but got 6 meals from it so 1 syn and it was lovely. Everything else was speed/free or HEΒ

Today Im looking at doing some cajun spiced chicken mince over wedges or something - maybe pasta? Not sure, I shall go have a look on the website for some inspiration. Im tempted with a pasta bake and salad only mum hates pastaΒ

Not eaten yet today , just getting peckish now so will have my fruit and yoghurt - I also bought KiwisΒ

Good luck for tonight @beanielou. At least you'll know where you stand. 🀞

Good idea to keep the syns down whenever you can @MrsPorridge. You've always got a bit of a buffer then just in case. Try to get as much Speed in as possible too. Today I can only see some fruit and pea shoots. I find pickles (beetroot, cornichons, red cabbage and onions) really useful and easy.Β

I'm sure it will help to stay away from synful puddings and chocolate @Coxy11. So many SW friendly things you can fill up on. That's one of the best things about SW, no need to ever feel hungry. 😁

Get you with the grown up fruit @Longwalker! 🀣 I think SW can be harder for people not in the habit of eating fruit and veg but you've taken to it like the proverbial duck!πŸ‘

Hope your shoulder is more comfortable @bubbs. Sometimes stress can make you tense up and you've had plenty. ☹️

I need to batch cook some pilau as used the last pouch with curry at the weekend.

I just checked and I've got 26 syns left for the next 3 days and no plans to use them. I'm hoping to go to WI again in a couple of weeks so need to STS (or preferably lose a little). I want to push my 8 week window forward a bit so I can eat out in March for my birthday, a family wedding and Easter without any pressure.Β

    Today's EE plan -Β
B- HEB muffin, fried eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk
L ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)Β
D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), roast vegetables, green stuff (S)Β
    Syns - 0

Afternoon everyone, creeping back in to show my face.Β  Has been a hard couple of week and haven't been as "on plan" as I would like to have been due to work stress, family stress and just being really busy.Β  But I managed to weigh in this morning with a 0.5lb loss from last week (absolutely no idea where that came from, seriously have been eating so much chocolate it's unbelievable).Β Β

Took it back to almost basics today with a breakfast of ff yogurt, banana and blueberries, lunch was poached eggs on toast and some satsumas and dinner tonight is "roast" chicken (it's currently in the slow cooker and smells amazing) and all the veg because we didn't get round to having it yesterday.Β Β

Will try and catch up on posts but hope everyone is ok.
