Evening all, not feeling too well at the moment - I've got a stinking cold - not had one for years and really finding it horrible.  Hopefully it'll shift in a few days.  At least I've managed to stay on plan today so that's good.

Hope the hotel is good @bubbs.  Is it one you've been to before or somewhere new?

Well done on upping the fruit and veg @MrsPorridge. Plenty in the crustless quiche.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
    D - Moroccan chickpea stew, herbed couscous - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - glass of wine 6

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Yes, @joedenise, I do hope your cold clears up quickly. DH and I hsd colds before Christmas for the first time in about 5 months and we still don't feel 100%. I think it's because of all the Covid protections. At least we know it's not Covid which many friends have had recently.

Awwww Denise hope you soon feel better.

Yes all settled here, went out to the Hungry horse up the rd, walked in DH was just ordering a dink, i said hang on, he goes what's up? I said look here is a list of the foods they don't have, burgers, mixed grills, steaks, chicken etc etc , he said oh we'll go somewhere else. Looks they have not got a chef on food you can ping!

We went up to another, i never have burgers out and fancied one so i ordered a double meaty stack 😂 he had southern fried chciekn burger, anyhow i went and ordered expecting £19.90 odd, she goes £10 please, gave me £10 change? i said is that right ? we want 2 meals, she said yes there is an offer on some meals for January and they are £5 each, i said oh  that's a Brucie bonus 🤣Anyway when they bring it he goes southern fried fillet burger and vegan double stack 😂😂i just said thanks, looked at the menu again and yes i had ordered vegan 🙄 it was nice but not filling , they were literally burger and a few fries.

Called in farmfoods on the way past and bought biscuits, crisps and chocolate 😂😂oh well tomorrow is another day! Should be able to eat at the van tomorrow, DH has his injection in his knee tomorrow as well

  • Sorry to hear you're unwell Denise. Just rest where you can and regular paracetamol.

WI for me yesterday. 2lbs off so I'm delighted with that. 13st 13 now and got a 'new stone zone' certificate and sticker lol.

Have a great day all. Have a week of annual leave to use up so I'm off after today for 10 whole days! Hopefully will get my new place all shipshape.
  • Fantastic news @NornIronRose xxx Its such a great buzz having a new start number isnt it? I find it really motivating . Have a great week off and hope it is productive in getting your home as you want it

@joedenise , sorry to read you are poorly. Over here theres a nasty one going about, lasts for months with the cough and sinuses. Fingers crossed you shake this off fast.

@bubbs, how disappointing re the meal :( So flipping annoying when you have your mind set on something and its not happening, and then to be left hungry :(

@maman , I use the Hairy Bikers curry book. Love all the curries from there - most can be found online and as long as you dont use the ghee or the oil - syn free :) Whatever one you go for - enjoy

I was soooooo good yesterday , didnt get hungry till about 2;30 and then had a huge bowl of chopped fruit - including the non SP kiwi, some oatmeal and HM yoghurt. Really really lush and filling. I had lifted a roast beef meal deal from marks for those two. I could have added more veg and split it 3 ways but then realised the roasties were coated and I dont actually like the Cavo Nero , I went for a jacket spud with a small amount of stilton and tuna mixed with a scant tablespoon of mayo - I dont like sloppy - and diced onions and chillies .

Then around 11 I was starved so had the rest of the tuna in a wholemeal sandwich. So syns were used, but very few

Back to work today so will be having fruit and yoghurt/oatmeal when I get hungry. Dinner tonight will be mince and something, I found a pack of mince in the fridge that I forgot about and it was sell by yesterday so cant freeze it. Probably savoury mince with mash from them and Ill do some wedges for me - I so hate mash

My scales are showing Ive now hit the two stone mark so Im hoping to just loose another pound for the weekend so it shows on WI - her scales always weigh heavier then mine

Oh I had another sort out of my wardrobe and a load more got vac packed away.Im still scared to chuck out everything. Next things I have to buy are nighties, they are hanging off my shoulders now and I fear Im going to strangle myself in my sleep :) But hey ho, its only us that sees them so they can wait a while longer

Morning all, still feeling rough and can't stop sneezing and having to  blow my nose!  Glad there's no cough as well though!

The washing mountain is now finished and all on the line - 3 loads this morning!  Next thing will be the bedding. but that can wait a couple of days and hopefully I'll feel a bit better by then.

Well done @NornIronRose - great loss and a new front number, brilliant.  Not heard of a certificate for a new front number before!  Wonder if it's something your consultant has decided to do for motivation purposes or whether it's a general SW thing.

That is so disappointing @bubbs about your meal out.  I'm often disappointed when we eat out as I know I can do better and enjoy it more.  At least you'll be able to eat what you want now.

    Today's plan:

B - porridge; grapes - HEB; F (forgot to frozen fruit out last night and only had grapes!).
    L - stuffed peppers - HEA2; S; F
D - chicken kebab (no pitta) - P; S (DH has a late hospital appointment so easier just to buy a kebab).

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2  - cheese.
    HEB -porridge.
    Syns- none planned.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning everyone,

Well done on the fab loss @NornIronRose and the new front number – such a boost! Hope you enjoy your time off from work x

Now craving a JP with tuna and stilton @Longwalker. Will need to wait until the weekend as can’t do that here as would clog up the one microwave at peak time!

Hope you feel better soon @joedenise and well done on all that washing!

We ate out twice last week and I have to say that the food was surprising lovely and good value. I haven’t said that for a long time. Just lucky with our choices I guess. Sorry about the disappointing burger @bubbs x

DH did marmite chicken pasta last night – not a huge fan and of course it made loads so I have leftovers for lunch today! Breakfast was overnight oats and I have cherry toms, a cheese portion and a non-Speed kiwi – the same one I’ve bought to work the last three days and taken home again – I WILL eat it today!

Dinner tonight is Szechuan pork with noodles.

We saw Priscilla last night. Fellow cinema goers in our row talking almost the whole way through. Think they were SN but loudly saying “I’ve gone right off Elvis” “what’s the age gap” etc. several times was a bit irritating!

  • Thanks Coxy. That would have irritated me in the cinema!

Quick question. My colleague, who signed uo to SW last night, makes her own HM yoghurt using semi skimmed milk. Plain so no sugar etc.

How does she syn it or is it free?
