You WILL get back on track @Longwalker! 🤗

I use the scanner on the app in shops to check that something new (to me) is free or low syn before I buy. I reckon that's a good reason for making it as easy to use as possible. 🤔

    Morning all.

Good to hear the gas issue has been resolved @bubbs and loving the regular food pics again!

Well done on your loss @VALM, hope you're not too stiff / sore from the Zumba

Hope your DH's work trips are ok @Coxy11, it's a pain when you can't find a hotel that the company will pay for.  My DH has that issue all the time, and even more compounded by the fact he doesn't drive so is a bit stuck otherwise.

Good to hear you're feeling better @Longwalker and as other's have said, don't beat yourself up about the food.  Hope work is a little busier for you so you're not bored but also hope it's not too busy that your exhausted after a shift.

Had a busy weekend and start to the week.  Somehow managed to lose 1.5lb last week and feeling more motivated this week.  Had some bran flakes and blueberries for breakfast, lunch is going to be a spicy sweetcorn soup with some fruit afterwards and dinner tonight is some Asian been thing with lots of veg and rice.

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Morning everyone,

Well done on the loss @ruby_eskimo and I'm about to copy you for breakfast.  Another fab loss @VALM I go to zumba too but mine is a class of retired ladies (I'll be joining them shortly 😁) so the pace is slightly slower but I still get a good workout and leave a bit sweaty!

Good to hear from you @Longwalker keep going 😊

I think we've missed the snow but it's a freezing -9 here this morning.  The sun is out and it looks glorious and fresh need to go out later this afternoon and hope the car has defrosted.

    Today's food:
B - bran flakes (HEB), blueberries, yoghurt 0.5
L - lentil soup (last tub in the freezer but I have enough veg to make more)
D - chicken curry, loaded with veg, rice

    Have a good day all!

    Morning!

Chilly here but no frost or slippery pavements which was good!

The quiz was funny last night - we didn’t win, but had a laugh. The prize was a tub of Quality Street!

Agree that the scanner should be front and centre in the app – hopefully if we feed this back via our consultants they may make a change. I too use it when out and about although it’s not always possible in some shops as the connection is shocking.

DH not now going to Solihull tomorrow so good job he didn’t stay over and supplement the company hotel cost!

    Great loss @ruby_eskimo x

OMG -9 @Jellybaby?! Go steady when you’re out and about x

I cooked golden savoury rice last night, so have that for lunch along with cherry tomatoes, a cheese portion, 2 satsumas and an apple. The canteen (shared space with patients and staff) was packed yesterday so I ended up eating my lunch on a sofa in the main entrance to the hospital. I popped to Sainsbobs then came back and finished off my book. Hoping I’ll be able to sit at a table today! It’s the small things.

Tonight’s dinner is ostrich steaks from A!di. Haven’t had them before so will be interesting. Will serve with veg and SW chips.

    Have a good day all

    Coxy

@ruby_eskimo I suffer with sciatica so feeling achey is the norm. I have also re-started a YouTube Walking exercise program to help wirh the aches.

@Jellybaby I tried to find a Zumba class that was lower intensity but they were either during the working day or connected to a gym.

@Coxy11 the scanner is on the first page of the App now if you scroll down you shpukd see it.

Well done on your loss @ruby_eskimo. 👏👏👏 It's a good feeling and spurs you on.

I've never tried Ostrich either @Coxy11, will be good to know what it tastes like. 🤔 Probably a good thing that you didn’t win the quiz. 🤣

Well done on the exercise @Jellybaby and @VALM. I find going to a class/group better than online as the commitment makes me stick to it better. I belong to two walking groups. I wish I'd been able to keep up the daily walks we did during Covid but RL gets in the way somehow.

I've got 30 syns left for today and no plans to use them. The only syns I didn't record were for a bit of crackling on Sunday. The trouble is I feel as if the Christmas excesses caught up in the last couple of weeks so don't feel any thinner after sticking to plan. Another week to go before WI. 🤞

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA 1 milk, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- LO cottage pie, veg and pickles (P, F, S)
    D- spaghetti Bolognese (P, S, F) with HEA 2 Parmesan
    Syns - 0

Meant to ask @Coxy11, what is cheat Parmesan? Do you mean Grana Padano? 🤔

  • OMG could it get any colder?

Not got above -2 today and we have freezing fog and a tonne of snow. We didnt get gritters here, they start their strike tonight and I think a lot have already rung in sick so they get sick pay instead of striking so its ruddy treacherous out there. I had to go to town today as I had no veg and not a lot of anything else . Didnt get out of third gear and it was 20mph all the way.

Food wise, dont even ask , I was cold, skating all over the show and went sod it, hit the cafe and didnt pick the healthy option

So tonight Im going to just have tinned fish and salad for my tea and seeing as I scoffed all the chocolates last night I wont be eating any of those. Hopefully I will see a pound off on Saturday at least cos I know these measly 1/2 pounds are pressing my "sod it" button.

    Still day 16 sober

    Great loss there @Ruby_eskimo xxx
