    Morning all,

Don't beat yourself up @Longwalker you've been poorly, crazy busy at work but give yourself a big pat on the back,  your still dry and you've lost half a pound. That's fab!  Hope you feel better soon.

I'm not a sweet person @bubbs but those doughnuts with ice-cream look lush.

My little snow dance worked yesterday and kept it away but think it's coming in buckets today.  I am WFH @Coxy11and my desk is next to a window and I'm spending more time staring at the sky than working!  I don't need to go anywhere until tomorrow afternoon so fingers crossed any snow goes quickly.

    Today's food:
B - bacon roll (HEB), 1 syn for squirt of brown sauce
    L - lentil soup
D - steak, chips, roasted veg

    Have a good day all!

I fimally summoned up the courage to go to Zumba last night and it was fab. It was the same Zumba Instructor we went to years ago.  Not feeling it today but probably will tomorrow.

Have managed to get over sugar craving I think. Have not had chocolate, sweets or biscuits for 2 days now.

    Keep warm everyone xx

@Coxy11 hope you enjoyed One Life, we saw it the other day, was so good, but I did cry (as did DH).

@Longwalker glad to see you back.  Hope you are feeling better now, but please don't beat yourself up about your eating - you're incredibly busy at work by the sounds of it, have been poorly and are doing dry January.  Be kind to yourself please.

    Today:
    B overnight oats (HEB)
L pea soup 1 cracker with 1 tsp cranberry sauce and 15g brie (5 syns estimate)
D tomatoes, beans, veggies with rice
Debt free and Keeping on Track

    Hi everyone,

Chilly here. DH left at 5.30am to drive to Solihull. He needs to be there on Thursday too but couldn’t get a hotel for the company rate, so will go twice. Trying not to stress at the wear and tear on our car!

Dinner tonight is chicken pesto pasta which will involve syns for the pesto and some single cream. I have had a picky lunch of chilli snack-a-jacks, a large carrot cut into batons, cherry tomatoes, cheese portion and an apple. Breakfast was 35g of the blueberry wheat pillows from Aldi, blueberries and 0% vanilla yoghurt.

I popped out at lunchtime to get fake parmesan for tonight’s dinner. Was slightly tempted by a pouch of mushroom risotto that someone in group had tagged this. You either ping it or heat in a pan. In my bid to not spend any more money this week, I put it back on the shelf and decided that I’m going to cook something from home tonight to bring for lunch tomorrow. Probably some golden savoury rice as that’s in the cupboard. Kept hold of my £2!!

The app is reminding me to weigh in. Not sure if it’ll be this Saturday or next, but needs to be one or the other – will see how this week goes!

It's W.I. tonight and we have a quiz. Not sure who is quizmaster (probably the President) or whether there are prizes (here’s hoping).

We enjoyed One Life last night – good movie - DH had leaky eyes at the end too @MrsPorridge!

Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly @Longwalker Try not to beat yourself up for the random snacking. It’s natural when you’re poorly to eat what you fancy and you’ve been mega-busy at work too which doesn’t help. Take care xx

Good to see you posting again @Longwalker. Just stay in touch and you'll get back to healthy eating when you're ready. I think you're doing brilliantly to stick with Dry January. That's enough in itself. 😇

I've had the reminder too @Coxy11. My latest day for WI is Thursday week. I think SW have improved the app because I'm certain they used to send that message for a whole month when target members have 8 weeks (if you want) between WIs. All I'd like them to do now is move the syns scanner to the top of the page! 🤣

Glorious day here although chilly. I got out for a walk this morning. Well done on the Zumba @VALM

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L ham (P), potato (F), pickles and LO veg (S)
    D- cottage pie (P, S. F), greens (S)
    Syns - 0

Off to check on app then.
I think I have to weigh in next week at latest.

Think they put the scanner where it is to encourage you to use free foods as a default and only syn as an exception? That’s what my consultant said when I made the same comment!!

  • @jellybaby - get out there dancing for gawds sake- woke to a couple of inches of snow this morning . It turned to rain this afternoon and now its freezing keen and snow due again :( To add to the woe, the gritters go on Strike Wednesday - such joy

@VALM , well done on getting to the Zumba and glad you enjoyed it. I tried it at home, Ive 3 left feet lol

@Bubbs, I use the tried and tested method of seeing where the condensation line is on the tank and taking an educated guess :) Only sometimes I forget to keep an eye. Luckily we have an oil supplier at the top of the road. They arent the cheapest but they have come out to me at 10pm at night so I stay with them

Thank the lord I have a day off tomorrow. Im just so very very tired.Im sure its the drive home in the half light thats doing me in, eyes getting battered by oncoming headlights, the rain, I feel myself forcing to myself to keep alert. So I come in kind of stressed and just not feeling great. Usually a quick drink livens me and of course thats not happening . Still Im getting six hours sleep at night, mostly straight through so swings and roundabouts

Work wise, its been so quiet this week, seriously I would normally do at least 12k, often 20k, steps in a shift, Im lucky to get 7k this week and being quiet is boring and boring means pick away. So I had to ask the lads to hide the choccie digestives that were left right in front of me, took a cup of soup instead of a sausage, then failed with a share of a chocolate brownie lol. Still I was very good tonight, a hearty beef casserole - loads of veg in it, and a 1/2 syn yoghurt, of which I may go get another, helps the cough and tickle Basically Im not eating loads, just calorie dense and speed has sped past and not stopped !!!

I will get back on track. I will get back on track, I will get back on track....................................
