Morning all
Well done for getting back to target range @maddiemay!
All the insurance talk is making me worry a little bit for my car renewal in March. House insurance was expensive enough at the end of last year 😳
Have been keeping up with the exercise this week and I feel a lot less bloated 👍 Had some overnight oats with blueberries for breakfast, lunch will be the last of the split pea soup and dinner tonight is the second portion of fish pie that I made on Tuesday.
Hope everyone has a good day and is staying warm.

Good morning,
BRRRR another cold one today. I am attending another part of my induction today and apparently there are hot drinks and biscuits!! Must restrain myself. Am just eating my breakfast of puffed wheat, yog and blueberries. Lunch is LO speedy chicken pilaf from last night. Think it was speedy given the time it took to cook rather than the ingredients as it used frozen mixed veg so only carrots and green beans were actual speed. It was okay but needed more curry powder – will make a note in the book for next time.
Awful about all the expenditure so early into the new year. To think I felt affronted by Thames Water putting my monthly DD up from £27 to £42!! Seems small beans in comparison.
I too am nervous for our car insurance due in May. We have a multi car policy with DD and DS2’s cars so it’s always fairly high. If DD is in gainful employment by then she will be paying for her own this year.
Is it today you are off @joedenise? Have a good time and safe travels x
I reckon you’ll be taking that BNS with you when you move out @bubbs!

Morning all, had a lovely lie in this morning and didn't wake up for the loo until nearly 7am but went back to bed as still felt really tired, eventually dozed off and woke up again at 9! Can't remember the last time I was that late getting up!
Not until Monday morning @Coxy11. Will need to be up very early and leave home around 5am - not looking forward to that but at least we'll get to the resort reasonably early! As this holiday is cheaper than the one we originally booked we've treated ourselves to a taxi each way rather than getting the coach which of course ends up going round all the hotels and you find yourselves at the very last hotel!!! Also means we can get booked in before everyone else gets there. Hoping we can get a ground floor room as DH's knees play up if he has to do stairs!
Agree about insurances - prices are getting ridiculous. Our insurances are going to be really high this year as we had an accident in the motorhome and of course that affects all insurances not just the motorhome one. We've got our insurances spread out throughout the year so we don't have to worry about finding a huge amount in one go! Managed to get our house insurance for about half the price of our renewal from the previous insurer and the cover is almost identical - only difference is rebuilding costs but we certainly don't need the standard £1m of our previous insurer!
Today's plan:
B - eggs on toast - HEB; P
L - wild rice stuffed peppers topped with cheese - HEA2; S; F
D - roast beef in gravy (from the freezer), roast potatoes, roasted carrots and parsnips, green veg - P; S; F; 2?
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - gravy (I'll scrape off most of the gravy as not keen on it and don't usually have any!) 2?
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Afternoon all, busy day here and managed to fit in a quick lunch with a work friend.
While I was moaning to DS2 about the car insurance last night, I got a text reminder car is due MOT and service mid February - and the boiler service is due then too! Sometimes I don't like being an adult 🤣
I've been feeling quite bloated the past couple of weeks so whether it's the Christmas sugar (and alcohol) or just winter and I'm hoarding fat to keep the cold at bay I hope it goes soon. Trying to drink more water to see if that helps. Still off the alcohol and I'll admit to struggling a bit last night but took myself off to bed with my book.
Today's food:
B - bacon roll (HEB)
L - baked potato, cheese (HEA estimate), salad
D - pork medallions, homemade wedges, roasted veg

Well done on getting back into target range @maddiemay. 👏👏👏I think we'd all like to be well inside but it's not easy.
I've probably asked before @Jellybaby but how do you make your sauce for meatballs? 🤔 I generally use passata, onion and fresh basil but my plant is looking sad at the moment and wondered what you do as I know it's a favourite. 😋
Glorious day here, cold but really sunny. We went for a good walk and stopped for coffee. It was great to be out after all the grey, rainy days.
Second of three builders came today to tender for building work, so all moving along.
New week starts today for me. Finished last week with 20 syns to spare. I'm hoping that I'll be in target in 2 weeks time. No meals out planned so should be OK. 🤞
Not seen @Longwalker for a few days. Hope she's OK as wasn't well.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L - LO hash (P. F, S), fried egg (P), pickles (S)
D- savoury mince (P, S), potatoes (F), cauliflower, broccoli, cabbages (S)
Syns - 00
