A lot of people at my grouo on Saturday were finding it hard last week (me included) and our Consultant said to put this down to sugar overload over Christmas. With that in mind I do feel better this week. Im doing dry January too and got through the weekend. Ive kept a tally of my Syns consumed at the weekend too so feel more in control. I batch cooked too.
We didnt make it to Zumba because my daughter was ill. Going tonight.
Today have had
BF HM Fritata (0.5syn per sausage)
Snack banana/raspberries
Lunch HM Chinese veg soup Roberts wm roll and 40g cheddar
Tea either HM Chilli or HM Sweet Potato curry.

Oh poor you @bubbs. Thank goodness you are so thrifty but it hurts when so much expense hits unexpectedly. ☹️ I do hope your fridge can be rescued as it's relatively new.
Wise words from your consultant @VALM. It must have been especially hard for you getting back to SW and doing Dry January at the same time. Today's menu looks good though. 👍
It's looking very dark here @joedenise but no snow as yet. We'll maybe get a few flurries later but not expecting much. 🥶
I'm still feeling under the weather. The cold symptoms are mostly gone except for sinus problems but I feel so drained and tummy feels fragile. Dr Google tells me it's a 'long cold' so post viral fatigue. I'm fed up with it and feeling sorry for myself. I should be going to my art group tonight. I'll try to push myself. ☹️🤣
Today's EE plan -

Freezing here but no snow thank god!
Maman hope you soon feel better.

Evening everyone,
Very cold here and have had snow flurries on and off all day. Food has been good-ish. Took puffed wheat, muller light and blueberries for breakfast, more veg chilli and couscous, 2 satsumas and apple for lunch. Dinner was smoked salmon and pea pasta - a few syns for the cream. Had a Cad Hero at work, just had a shortbread biscuit. TOTM arrived last night. Other symptoms are much better but still 2 sachets of 2nd lot of meds to get through, so will finish the course. Hoping this is it now!!
Frustrating for you @bubbs with so much to deal with. Glad that your DH has sorted 2 of the 3 appliances. He's a keeper!
Lots of activity on my groups' FB page with recipe ideas. That's the biggest thing about not WFH anymore - I feel like I'm eating very samey food for breakfast and lunch as don't have my fridge to select from. Oh well, it pays the bills I guess.

Morning all.
That lasagne looks amazing @bubbs 😍
Hope you're feeling better soon @Coxy11 and TOTM doesn't make things worse!
I think your consultant was right @VALM was definitely feeling the effects of sugar overload at the weekend.
Had a not great night sleep as woke up at 1am with the worst stabbing pain in my stomach. Took about an hour for pain and nausea to go away and then get comfortable again 😞 Still not feeling great this morning but definitely a lot better than the middle of the night so lots of peppermint tea and water on the agenda today. Have some overnight oats to eat if I'm hungry later, and some more split pea soup for lunch. Dinner plan is for a fish pie and veg but obviously all subject to how I'm feeling.

@rubyeskimo my daughter felt like that last week too. We put it down to her upping her intake of fibre after Christmas.
I chomped a lot of chocolate last night. Not over my weekly Syn allowance but need to curb it as its only Tuesday!
Didnt go to Zumba again last night. Was freezing by the time I walked home from work. Just wanted tea and a bath.
Had sweet potato curry for tea.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Sounds nasty Ruby. Hope it stays away. Could be your gall bladder.
I didn't sleep well last night either as the hotel bed was very 'springy' but not in a good way! Could genuinely feel every single spring! They changed my room for me when I complained. Don't fancy another sleepless night then a long day tomorrow including a 4 hour drive home.
Food plan has been largely forgotten. Had a vegetarian cooked breakfast which would have been kind of ok, except I had 2 slices of toast! Haven't had toast for weeks and it was bloomin lovely.
Last night I managed to find a halal Indian restaurant. Food was really good and SW friendly mostly but annoying that I looked at prices on the takeaway menu before I went (looked online and it said takeaway menu in teeny tiny writing) so the bill was almost double what I expected.
Right, going to head off for my catheter care course. Stoma tomorrow so I'm looking forward to both.
