I think you're doing exactly the right thing having SW friendly snacks at the ready @maddiemay. 😇 That's a good tip for everyone. 👍

It's always the same juggling meals before a holiday @joedenise, particularly with fresh stuff. Enjoy the lamb. 😋
  • I've lost the plot today ladies. Just been eating a mixture of veg and carp.
Have been organised enough to fill a bag of healthy snacks for my trip up north. Lentil chips, grapes, apples, baby bels, diet Pepsi etc. Otherwise I will end up just going and finding rubbish to eat.
Will head out for an early intervals running session in the morning with my friends then hit the road with enough time to spare. Need to be in Warrington for 3.

Morning all, a grey dreary day today.  Not raining at the moment but definitely feels very damp and think there's rain in the forecast later.

Well done @NornIronRose on drawing the line and getting yourself sorted with some SW friendly snacks for today.

What have you used to coat your scotch eggs @bubbs?  Looks really crunchy!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
    L - eggs, fried up LO potatoes and veg, pickles - P; S; F
    D - lamb tagine, couscous - P; S; F; 4.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - flaked almonds, dried apricots in tagine 4.5

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Denise couscous and cooked them in air fryer 😁😁

I am coming here for a rant as no one else here, i am really peed off!
First dh had physio Friday, some days he can hardly walk, she actually does nothing only talk, yes she is nice but he lost the plot there Friday and said i was told i was coming here to try injections but no, you now want me to go pain management, he said i don;t see the point in coming here anymore .
The rant obviously worked as they have rang him for injections this morning, 1st feb.

    Then puncture Sat £117!
Then headlight bulb went yesterday £20!
Then we had a power cut over night, now the fridge is not working, that is only 2 yrs old and was £450!
    The freezer is humming!
Go to the washing machine and that's bloody dripping, ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

    Had enough today

    Oh no bubbs.
    That’s a lot in a few days.
The problem with NHS physio is that they can no longer do hands on.
    Hopefully the injections will help.
I sometimes have one in my shoulder.
    Feel free to rant.
Sometimes that’s all I do on my diary!

Morning all.  Oh dear @bubbs, sounds like a very stressful (and expensive!) few days.  Good to hear your DH has got his injection date though.  Have to take my DH for his ankle one in a couple of weeks.  Fingers crossed the fridge and washing machine are ok.

Hope you're feeling better soon @Longwalker and well done on week 1 of dry January.

Agree that you probably need some antibiotics @Coxy11 if it's been going on this long.

Not going to lie, kind of lost the plot last week so drawing a big line and starting back to it today.  Breakfast was beans on toast with mushrooms and cheese.  Lunch is some split pea soup with a couple of clementines and dinner is a veggie filled stir fry with some noodles.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Rant away @bubbs!  It really gets to you sometimes doesn't it but not much you can do about it other than rant!

Will definitely try scotch eggs in the air fryer when I make them next time as they look brilliant.  I don't usually bother coating them and just bake them in the oven but will definitely try them in the air fryer now I've finally got one!

Used the air fryer to do the fried potatoes and veg at lunchtime and was absolutely delicious, far better than when done in the frying pan.

Been snowing on and off for the last couple of hours - absolutely freezing!
