Definitely a "good when you can careful when you can't moment" @Jellybaby.  Not much more you can do really.

    Great results there @MrsPorridge, @Bubbs

Well done on those who have eaten out and chose wisely

Jealous of those of you who got out for walks today

Myself, Im well and truly smit with the cold ( not covid ) I was up all night, got a couple of hours on the sofa then dragged myself off to WI - @coxy11 , the early group here is the busiest - where I was devastated to find Id gained  half a pound :(

I was too poorly for work and park run so rang in, got myself some Vicks and Beechams and have been curled up on the sofa ever since

I say devastated , it was a bit of a kick in the teeth because Ive not had a drink all week and meals have all been on plan - free and speed and the couple of wee treats - 1 scone and 1 slice of cake weren't enough to tip the scales . I know its because Ive not eaten enough , one of these days Ill learn. Fingers crossed the scales work in my favour next week

I had a couple of 1/2 syns yoghurts  - light and free in sticky toffee pudding flavour. I dont usually buy things like that but when Im poorly I crave sweet things and cold things and they hit the spot. Now I have syns free for food I think they will be on the menu again. For tea I made a special fried rice, stuffed with eggs, bean sprouts, peas, prawn, ham and chicken - all free

Hopefully Ill get some sleep tonight and feel better in the morning. I think I dont go back to Tuesday so plenty of time to recuperate

Morning all, another dry day so another load of washing on and I'll get that out on the line as soon as it finishes.

Hope you feel better soon @Longwalker.  Yoghurt is a good choice if you fancy something sweet.  I rarely have flavoured yoghurt just natural as generally eat it with fruit as a late pudding - rarely eat it immediately after dinner usually an hour or so later!

    Today's plan:

B - sausages, eggs, beans - P; F; 2 (forgot to buy mushrooms and tomatoes when I went shopping!)
    L - burger, onions, gherkin slices in soft pitta - S; 0.5
D - roast leg of lamb, roast potatoes, roast carrots, parsnips, peppers, onions, green veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - soft pitta
Syns - LF sausages 2; LF burger 0.5

Need to keep the syns low as way over syns so far this week; shouldn't be a problem as don't generally use a lot in meals.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all

Just checking in while i am catching up, not showered yet, that's next on the list , then got loads to do as didn't get it done after yesterdays performance 😂

Longwalker, don't be devastated about 1/2 gain, our bodies fluctuate all the time and you are poorly, i am sure you will smash it this week 😁 Well done not having a drink all week 👏👏 Hope you soon feel better.

My consultant just put a little video up of the start of group yesterdays with all facts on it, out group lost an amazing 321 st 12lbs last year, i think that is amazing 😁😁😁

Not sure what i am having to eat today apart from tea time  , we are having roast pork and all the trimmings

    I'll be back later

GWS @Longwalker xx Annoying about the little gain but you’re doing so well so keep going xx

My symptoms have returned so more cranberry yuck sachets and juice for me. Really fed up with it.

DH is such a messy chef - potatoes boiled over on the hob, port all down the cupboards and on the floor, just crazy. I’ve been tidying up around him this morning. He always goes overboard for his folks - it’s a standing joke.

No idea on syns today but know there’s celeriac, beetroot and shredded greens so some speed hopefully 🤞🏻

Hope the fatted calf goes down well with the in-laws @Coxy11. 😁 I'd have been licking up the port! 🤣

If you aren't better soon, maybe you need an antibiotic? 🤔

It can happen @Longwalker that sticking to plan doesn't show up instantly but anyway it's only a tiny gain. It's possible that the Christmas food hadn't all caught up even. Who knows? 🤔

I love mushrooms @joedenise. When do you get to the shops next?

The chicken curry last night was a big success. It's a SW recipe I saw in an online video. I'm not a visual learner so I don't usually bother with video recipes but glad I did. I kept a portion for today's lunch and added extra mushrooms. 😋It's packed with Speed only veg with the chicken and spices.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L JP (F), chicken curry (P, S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P, S), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
    Syns - cornflour 1, weekend wine 😁

That tyre was really Ouchy @bubbs, good news on the loss for you and @MrsPorridge though.
@Longwalker and @coxy I hope that you are both feeling better very soon.

I have had a few piggy days this week, seem to be fighting off a bug and felt very munchy, trying hard today.  I can't eat big meals so keep finding myself hungry between times, so far this afternoon I have munched a LF sausage, satsuma and have a hb egg ready and waiting.  Cold chicken and a load of hot veggies for supper, not feeling like eating potatoes (don't like them very much), but might cook some giant couscous that has been cluttering up the cupboard in some stock.  Odds and ends from fridge and freezer de-frosting ready for a batch of soup for tomorrow and going forward.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)

@maman - won't be going to shops until Tuesday but can manage until then.  Don't want to buy too much though as we fly out on next Monday morning.

@Coxy11 - sounds like you need to get some antibiotics - that infection has been going on too long now and will probably end up in your kidneys!  It's exactly what happened to me last year on holiday in France.  The powders just didn't do the job.

Hope you feel better soon @Longwalker.  Meant to say well done on sticking to Dry January for a week.

Hope you feel better soon too @maddiemay.  If you feel better eating smaller amounts more often then do it.  Your food is all on plan.

I got DH to cut a big chunk off the top of the lamb leg before putting it in the air fryer which is now cut into chunks and in the fridge dusted with tagine spices so it will be a tagine for dinner tomorrow night.  Can't wait for dinner, love a bit of lamb!
