Morning all, just a quick one as want to have breakfast before we go out and also get a few bits done indoors.  I have a waxing appointment, DH is going to the tip with a few bits and then he has another appointment down at Benenden Hospital as he's still not happy with his (from a month go when he had a cataract op on it).  He's supposed to be having the other eye done next week but is hoping to put it off for at least 3 months or even put it off completely for the time being as it's nowhere near as bad as his right eye was (he was virtually blind in that eye!).

Sounds like a lovely meal @maman and fairly SW friendly and you know there's always going to be some wine syns when you eat out unless you're driving!  Will let you know what the alcohol is like, just hope they don't water it down which is what they tend to do in the cheaper AIs but this one hopefully will be OK being a bit more upmarket!

You've done brilliantly @NornIronRose to have had such a small gain during Ramadan.  Definitely a case of good when you care and careful when you can't.  If you carry on like this until the end of Ramadan you won't have too much to shift when you get back on plan.

Did you manage to get some antibiotics for your chest infection @bubbs or are you still just struggling on with cough medicine?  Hopefully you can shift that soon.

    Today's plan:

B - bacon, egg, beans (used all of mushrooms in the risotto the other night and forgot to buy more!)
L - corned beef and tomato sandwich
    D - butter chicken, rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - corned beef 2; butter 2.5; LF spread 1.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Just a quick wave, will be back later, been dashing around trying to do some household stuff. Off to knit/craft and natter then on to hairdressers, forecast to be very wet and windy, if it is pouring I will ask for just a trim and rough dry, no point in having the works to then walk home and dog walk later.
    Have a good day.

Well done to all those keeping on track.

I'm afraid I've lost it big time and not keeping on track at all.  I am still reading these posts but not posting.  I am going to WI tomorrow.  Cannot believe there is one on Good Friday.  Showing my age here, but I remember when we didn't even have a newspaper on Good Friday, now it seems like a normal day.

You're doing the right thing to go to WI tomorrow @MrsPorridge. Easter probably won't help but try to get back on plan just as soon as you can.

You've done so well, just keep thinking how great you'll feel when the excess weight is gone. It really is worth it. 🤗

It's been horrible here today, pouring with rain and blowing a gale. I agree @maddiemay, it's a waste of money having a blow dry in this weather.

I did my meal plan and shop though as the fridge was almost empty.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- Spanish omelette (P, S, F ), pickles (S)
    D- sausage casserole (P, S, F), pasta (F)
    Syns - Aldi sausages 1

Morning all, can't believe how good the weather is at the moment after yesterday's wind and rain.  Have decided to make the most of the weather and get at least one load of washing done; not sure there's enough to do a second load but will check once the current load is done.

Good luck @MrsPorridge and @bubbs (if you get up in time!) with WI this morning.

Bet you're glad you're back home @bubbs and not still in the place you stayed during the shutdown.  Hope the place you've booked for next year is in a better location!

Glad to say that DH got to see a very good consultant yesterday (he's actually a Moorfields Eye Hospital consultant and he only works a few shifts a month at Benenden.  DH apparently has a bit of a problem with the under layer of the cornea on both eyes so that's the reason his eye is taking so long to heal properly but he said it will heal but will just take longer.  He's given him some more drops which have to be used 4 times a day until the bottle runs out!  When I had my eye done (the first one) I had to use the same size bottle 4 times a day for 4 weeks and there wasn't enough to do the final drop so new bottle for just one drop!  Assume this bottle will last that amount of time assuming the drop each time goes in the eye!  Obviously the op for his 2nd eye has been cancelled (was supposed to be done next week!).  He's decided he's going to wait until next year to get the 2nd eye done.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up
L - burger, onions, pickles, WM roll
D - pork strips, mash, veg

    HEA - milk
    HEB - roll
    Syns - sausages 2; burger 0.5; pork strips 4?

    Have a good day everyone.

Well done on your loss, however mysterious @bubbs. 👏👏👏 Knowing you, you were probably under syns for the week but I've no idea how many syns in cough mixture! 🤣

Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. 😴

You must be making some good choices @MrsPorridge, pleased you STS. 👍 Now draw that line and get back to losing.

It's stayed fairly dry and bright here and promised rain didn’t come. We've been to football and was good to stay dry.

I put keema curry in the SC before I went out and it smells good. I tweaked the recipe a bit this time to use less meat and more Speed.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, eggs (P), beans (F)
    L- JP (F), chilli (P, S), cottage cheese (P), pickles (S)
    D- keema curry (P, S), rice (F)
Syns - half Crunchie 3, weekend wine 😁
