I've been thinking that I might indulge in a hot cross bun for Easter. 😋 I love them and the last one I had was for the car picnic we had for my birthday during Covid in 2021! 😁0

Morning all, just starting us all off for the day, LOL! Was up early this morning, about 6am - don't normally get up until at least 7am but wanted to get breakfast sorted and get a load of washing done and on the line before 8am as picking my friend up to take her to the station as she's going up to London for her eldest daughter's graduation - she's just finished an OU degree as had decided not to go to Uni when she left school but to get a few years of work in so that she didn't end up with a massive debt! She's mid 40s now so obviously waited quite a long time before starting it. Think it takes about 6 or 7 years to do an OU degree so hard work to do when you're working full time as well.
You can have a hot cross bun for Easter @maman within syns. If I remember correctly they're 11 syns for a normal sized one from the SM.
Today's plan:
B - bacon and mushroom sandwich
L - LO fish pie
D - beef stew, mash
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - spread 2.5
Have a good day everyone.

That's an early start @joedenise you sound very organised.

Back on it with a vengence this week. Today's plan
B overnight oats
L veggie soup,
D sausage casserole with a slice of garlic bread (5 syns)
Snacks SF jelly with berries and yoghurt, bananaDebt free and Keeping on Track1 -
April showers with a vengeance here, nasty cold stinging rain/sleet ones early and now sunny, but so very windy.
Not posted for a few days. been out and about a lot, although nothing exciting. fell off the SW wagon for about a day and a half, doing better today (so far). Kedgeree tonight, will involve a little butter, but will be as stingy as possible, refreshing salad alongside for lots of F & SP. I would really love a few days without having to plan/cook meals, I keep threatening OH unless he chips in with some ideas for meal plan I will issue him with a wad of the housekeeping money and send him off to the SM to get himself a load of ready meals - think I must be feeding him too well.

Good morning, sunny and bright at the moment, May drive to next town to see if Morries still have a fish counter, frozen fish I have been buying as not been great, quality OK, but fillets that are 1/3 skin and not enough flesh.
Kedgeree yesterday was yum and stayed within syns and allowances, will see what today brings. OH has decided to forgo cycling and have a garden day, I may try and get out there later.
Fancy curry for later, but had rice yesterday and can't really afford syns for naans unless I try and make WM ones, however, my dexterity issues make it a bit awkward - anyone tried baking or airfrying them in Ninja or the like?

Morning all, very quiet again! It's bright and sunny here too @maddiemay and quite windy. Have done another load of washing and that's blowing on the line nicely. No rain forecast today so should dry easily today without having to rush out to get it in like I had to yesterday! Thankfully it was all dry so no damp washing hanging around indoors.
Looks like everyone was very busy yesterday as hardly any posts!
@maddiemay - Have you tried making yoghurt naan? https://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/garlic-greek-yoghurt-naan-bread#mv-creation-526-jtr. Not sure how many syns they work out at but not too bad. The recipe makes 6 so you could freeze the extras for another time with greaseproof/freezer sheets in between them.
Today's plan:
B - fry up with sausages
L - stuffed peppers
D - roast duck, roasted veg, swede and carrot mash, green stuff
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - none planned
Syns - sausages 2; duck? will roast on a rack so the duck isn't sitting in fat so hopefully not too many!
Has anyone any idea how many syns Percy Pigs are? I had a free pack with my Sparks card! I also got a box of grapes for my birthday on it which I got while we were away in the motorhome so have eaten most of them now.
Have a good day everyone.
