Excellent work Muddy 👏
I have decluttered Junior Flamingo's DLA form, just Mr F needs to scan and then it needs to go in the postbox. Can I get that done before midnight, or shall I count that as 1 and 2 for next year? 🤔Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

I will try to do better13 -
Hi all, lovely to see familiar faces and some newbies, welcome. I can see the train is raring to go and the tlc carriage is fully stocked and Mrs SD has us all ready to board with tickets in hand !
My target is 2024 physical and digital declutter with some ginormous frogs which I hope can be put to bed. Separating frogs from clutter as I have so many but want the physical declutter out too.
As other have said a huge thank you to Mrs SD especially and fellow travellers.
Happy new year all x17 -
Hi declutterers!
Love how much has gotten done already! Great job guys.
I just wanted to throw in some fun ideas I found online
I saw someone do a decluttering jar , so it's 1 thing to do everyday, write out, fold up and put in the jar. Then everyday you can pick one out at random and do that decluttering job (31 things for january)
I also saw someone called Melitsmoi on social media.
She puts all her chores into wheel of names (free on google) you can add your chores to a big spinny wheel then spin! You have to do whatever chore it lands on.
I'm excited to get the ball rolling tomorrow.
Happy new years to you all! 🎉🎉

@CMD79 I find Vinted much better for kids clothes, I sell on eBay too but find it’s better for games and toys rather than clothes. I tend to add things as I come across them, irrespective of the season it is and the season they are for. The only exception is for things like Halloween and Christmas clothes and then I wait until about a month before.2024 Decluttering Campaign 🏅 10/52

Good morning 2024, I am treating myself to a cup of tea and strawberry jam on toast whilst I wait for Mr V to come in from a gig.
I have decided on some goals.
Paint the front and back door, outside loo door, wooden fence and the many ,many sheds we have.
Make a garden in an untouched piece of ground. Maintain the gardens made in 2022.
Declutter in the house as I go. Empty and tidy and declutter the shed village.
Spend at least 24 minutes a day outside every day.
get a few house maintenance frogs sorted, blinds in the kitchen and our bedroom.
try very hard to buy new to me except underwear if needed.
restore a set of drawers waiting in a shed.
retrieve a door I have been storing in my brothers stable. retrieve Mr V's electrical gubbins from Dsd's garage.
lose more weight
use more craft stash
de clutter Mr V's cancer treatment
This is not a comprehensive list but this is what is running round my head at any given moment!
Hello to friends old and new. Enjoy the ride on the de clutter express.

Thought of some more!
Empty my Mother's house
Use up MIl's toiletry and cleaning materials stash.:17 -

Or you could aim for 2024lbs, which is 920kg? It depends how much weight you think you've got squirrelled away in the attic and garage and if you're going to get rid of any major appliances/large bits of furniture!
I'm the (overly ambitious?) idiot who Mrs SD mentioned decluttered by weight in2018. I wouldn't do it again, although I'll possibly weigh this year's declutterance for my own curiosity. Also I do like the idea of choosing 24 areas to declutter, but committing to 24 incidences of decluttering per month is enough of a challenge for me!
Good luck, whichever weight you decide to go for.
The neighbours got through various bottles of alcohol that I've had in a cupboard and not looked at for over two years during NYE. I now have a whole cupboard emptied that I'm going to relocate some of my crafting stuff into. Difficult to estimate weight as they were at varying levels, from unopened to nearly empty, but I'll call them a kilo each, plus 2 kilos of sausage rolls that have been taking up a whole shelf in the freezer and I thought I would never see the back of!
That takes me to 28kgs / 2024 kgs
Happy New Year everyone!13 -
Hi all posting here as I see the marvelous mrs SD has posted totals for medals and stars to finish off the 2023 thread.. Thank you @Mrs SD for all my medals and stars, I didn't realise I had so many
I have finally decluttered covid . I am still sleeping for England but have spurts of energy now. OH is still clearly positive so is not attending the family meal tomorrow. This decision prompted lots of text messages from OHs sister. What did we want them to do with the christmas presents etc etc. Just wait until we can get together, maybe we can have a meal out, we will set a date when we are feeling fit enough to cope with it. No I am not setting a date now OH is definitely not ready to start planning outings yet.
I had a conversation with my dsis and we updated each other on how we were. Dsis has been for some repeat blood tests which were all good.
I later had a conversation with dniece who then told me about an episode my dsis had while with them which dsis had not mentioned. It sounded to me like a mini stroke. Dniece agreed which is worrying. It then transpired it wasn't the first as bil admitted it had happened before and of course they hadn't been to the doctor. This is so typical of dsis and bil is as much use as a chocolate teapot in these type of things. Dsis will get defensive and say she is fine and bil will just go along with it. So dniece and I are working on a plan to try to get to the bottom of it hampered by the fact that we can't let dsis know we have discussed it. Families eh
So I have emptied the kitchen bin and the bedroom bin, 1 LDFPA and 3 loads washed and drying in various places around the house. The weather continues to be dire so no chance of even attempting to get it on the line. It will have to stay where it is now until 2nd.
I have a footy match tomorrow and I am expecting that to use all my energy for the day so just as well it is unlucky to do housework on nyd
I have been thinking about what I want to get done next year and it's really just a continuation of what I aimed for this year, basically sort out the mess, get a new kitchen and not let any more stuff come in. The list is so long I would be here until the end of January if I posted it but I am less overwhelmed than at this time last year as I know I have made some progress so I know I can do it.
Welcome to all the new travellers on this train, good luck with all your targets, lots of help and encouragement here . Mrs SD really is a marvel
Right off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one
Final total for 2023 is 1711/2023 which is 312 short of the target but better than nothing
Take care everyone

Happy New Year! Wishing everyone well and the strength and courage to face whatever 2024 brings.
I woke early and feel raring to go, tucked up in bed by 10:30pm, woken by fireworks and celebrations then woken by Dd at 7am.
Plans for today include a walk/allotment, freezer inventory and meal planning until payday. Taking Christmas decorations down and starting to tackle the ironing. Plus start my 2024 decluttering journey 😊15
