Advice needed: Anyone experienced at selling stuff?? I have piles of girls' clothes, some new with tags but almost all summer. Should I just list them now, or is it worth waiting until Spring for better money? Also, am okay with Ebay, but is Vinted better??
You might also try Facebook Marketplace (if you 'do' FB) for local collection and might need to think about doing 'bundles' of clothes.

I went into Greenwich yesterday and popped into Lewisham first as I wanted to try a charity shop there. It is called Traid and it is meant to be very nice. I was reminded of it as Iwan from Sort Your Life Out was talking about it on his YouTube channel the other day. I did buy myself an Oodie and a fleecy top yesterday so I want to declutter at least 2 tops from my wardrobe.
I was talking to my brother as he is doing Dry January and so is his girlfriend. He has been tested again and he is still prediabetic even though he has lost a stone in weight so he thought doing Dry Jan might help. I was saying about my cholesterol (which when I looked at the blood test result online is at the start of the highest point, 6.5) It made me think that I should join them and cut out alcohol for January too. It was nice going out the day before New Year's Eve as it wasn't mega busy in the pubs, but I don't feel like going out tonight anyway.
I am going look through my wardrobe to see what can go and then do some steps on my treadmill and then watch some TV afterwards. My dog should be dropped home for the kennel soon. I think there is a Dry January app that I can get to help me along.16 -

@CMD79
Or you could aim for 2024lbs, which is 920kg? It depends how much weight you think you've got squirrelled away in the attic and garage and if you're going to get rid of any major appliances/large bits of furniture!
I'm the (overly ambitious?) idiot who Mrs SD mentioned decluttered by weight in2018. I wouldn't do it again, although I'll possibly weigh this year's declutterance for my own curiosity. Also I do like the idea of choosing 24 areas to declutter, but committing to 24 incidences of decluttering per month is enough of a challenge for me!
Good luck, whichever weight you decide to go for.
A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
CHALLENGES
2025 Declutter:
1 CONTAINER (box/bag/folder etc) per day; 50/365
1 FROG (minimum) per week; 6/52
WEIGHT I'll start with 25 lbs (though I need to lose more!) and see how it goes...🤔 0/25
2025 NSDs: 15 per MONTH - FEB 4/15; JAN 21/15
2025 Fashion on the Ration: (carried over from 2024) 10+66 = 76
2025 Make Do, Mend & Minimise No target, just remember to report!

1 dress in - 2 dresses out. Albeit they have not yet gone down to the charity shop, but that will need to wait till next weekend.
I have decided to try and keep on top of food, particularly non perishables, and have downloaded an app that Mr Puppy is on board with. I have found success with a similar app for my clothes, so hoping this will help us keep on top of it. I have tried keeping a paperless before but it very quickly fell apart so 🤞 this is better.19 -
Since, arriving back from Christmas with family and then a meal out back here with a friend I am finding it really hard to get back into any sort of routine. I have no excuse at all so I have decided that I will try to achieve at least 3 household jobs a day in 2024 unless I am out for the day! This will help slowly tidy through every room and declutter at the same time.
Jobs for tomorrow are 1) tidy bedroom, 2)hoover bedroom, 3)batch cook meat bought today and freeze.
We have decided that we wont be putting together our 6ft tree for any more Christmases. The small one we bought this year from Sainsburys is still very much alive and has been perfect stood on a box in our front window. After an initial rebellion DH is quite taken with it and is hoping that "we" will be able to keep it alive for next year. All good so far! My problem is that he is so attached to the old one that he wants to keep it!! 🤦♀️🤷♀️. (we have had it 20yrs and it holds lots of memories!) . We struggled getting it down from the roof so I am going to have to make it a much bigger struggle to get it back up! Watch this space to see who wins!!! Good luck with the new start my declutterati friends and Happy New Year. 🎉🎉🎉craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £17.98 spent, 102 made and 5 mended,
