You are so organised Mrs SD!
Finished the DLA form and have sealed it +1 (plus an additional +1 for it being an extremely difficult and emotional task). Used up the moisturiser I've had for 6 months and can now start with my lovely new No-7 one Mr F got me for Xmas +1. May reuse the pot so will hold fire on that!

Happy New Year to everyone. I stayed up to collect GCs from party they went to with their dad. I didn't go because of lurgy - I feel it is a lot better today. I need to write some proper lists and decide a plan of action. Making room for the children to be here 50% of time and giving them a room each meant a lot of shuffling around and there are a number of 'abandoned' things which need a home. I think I need to take one room at a time and revisit. I felt well enough to do maths this morning so I finished yearly banking off. Failed most targets! Have done new spread sheets for this year and will try harder.
1 December banking
2 New spreadsheets and bank book written up for this year
3 CC Bill paid
4 Candle binned
5 Family History membership renewed
6 Answered emails re meetings this week which I will miss due to children off school and lurgy
Onward - I have 5 days completely to myself from 6th - time to do a survey and perhaps write lists.2025 Decluttering Campaign 607/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

And my decluttering total stands at 110! So happy with myself. I've the mood to do more but don't want to burn out. 😒 so that's a good start, will be getting on with other household chores and home edding. 🏡
I actually didn't stop. Well I did, but then did some housework and got rid of some more stuff. 65 items... I'm sure it was 73 but I lost count so let's just say 65.
Another black bag of stuff leaving the house and some charity bits. 😍
Edited to say thrown some more out. Taken christmas stuff down and decluttered a few bits as I went.
207 total for the day 😮 I will definitely sleep easy tonight. 😉January 2025 GC 🥕 £144.61 / £400

Happy New Year! Pleased to be joining the EDT!
I can try for the 2024 in 2024. I just added 5 teddies, inherited from my husband's old housemate who moved out 15 years ago to the charity box. Plus 2 comics, and 7 DVDs (mostly free with newspapers). There are other things in the charity box, but I'll just count new additions, and they'll all go on Saturday.
My goal is to transform my office from a cluttered stockroom, in which I work wedged into a space, with teetering piles of books, musical instruments, bathroom fittings and old tech, into a nice library with space for a sofa bed so we can have overnight visitors.
We are transforming the whole house from decrepit tumbledown hovel into a comfortable home. The place is an absolute money pit and we have just accrued lots of things that make it even less comfortable. I have hoarding genes, but not as many as OH who clings on to things way past their relevance. Having just done a clothes sort, he has decided to fill suitcases with 2 sizes of clothes that don't fit and store them in the loft, so he has whole target wardrobes ready should he lose weight.
Anyway, 14/2024. That's a good start.Keep reading books!

Pants socks and vest drawers have been decluttered!! Only one "new" sock left over, and I am sure I saw it somewhere, but as I keep moving the leftover sock, I can't be sure it's the same sock I keep seeing!!!!
I'm making a pile on the living room floor (I don't use the living room right now as it will be renovated this year!) of things to take to recyling center or charity shops. So far the old christmas pop up tree, some no longer used cushions and cushion covers, and a couple of old duvets are sitting there ready to be packed into the car.

wishus, I have several sets of clothes in many sizes too. This year I WILL get to grips with weight loss and maintain it. Some of my clothes have been waiting many years to be worn again.
Mr V won a bottle of good champagne in a raffle last night. More to add to stocks.
I have woken with the lurgy. Currently sitting with kitchen roll stuck up my nostrils! Will use up some of MIL's kitchen roll stash I suppose.Could do without being poorly. I said I would cook a nice dinner tonight for my visitors. Also folk travelling for my Mum's 90th birthday tea tomorrow. Catering by me of course. I can't wait to get back to normal on Wednesday. I have a lot to do by then. Wish me luck.

Happy New Year to all. Thank you to Mrs Salad Dodger for starting a 2024 thread.
I watched Rick Astley last night which was very good. I did see him play with Blossoms in London when they did The Smiths songs in 2021. That seems like ages ago! He does look great for his age. I did have wine last night, but I am all set for Dry January. I arranged all my teas, coffees and cocoa last night into clear storage jars on the shelf to make them look more appealing. I charged my kindle last night as I know I have at least 7 or 8 books to read on there.
It actually looks like quite a nice day so far, although I haven't been out yet. It feels a bit chilly so I have put on the heating. I was making a to-do list, a list of my concerts and a list of fun things I want to do this year and I realised that my fingers are freezing!
Decluttering wise I binned my flowers and a pair of leggings with a hole this morning. I need to dust around the house. I am putting together a donation bag for when the shops open, so far only a jumper and two vest tops. I did use up a jar of moisturiser this morning. It was one I got in the Holland & Barrett advent calendar. It was nice cream, but such a tiny pot so I won't buy that again. I am going to use up some of the leftover veg and make soup today. Leek and potato but I will put it whatever else as I think I have a couple of parsnips still.
