Saturday is yet another dark, dreary day with a forecast high of 10°C. Up late again - 12:30 but have dealt with all last week’s mail. Continued on with sorting paperwork with more shredding & recycling + emptied shredder bin. As I was still in the mood to tackle paperwork I carried on sorting until 19:00 when I cooked dinner - fish in batter, chips & peas. I will continue tomorrow & will finally create a Master To Do List 😉 A bit late in the year I know 😂 but I am feeling inspired by our Declutterati Family 😊 Wudupa.
26 - 45 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, glass bottle, 1” paperwork, cardboard packaging, 11 booklets/brochures, magazine, large cardboard box, plastic sweet tin - recycled
46 - 52 Kitchen & lr detritus, 2” shredding, large piece of polystyrene - binned
Lovely to see you dND 👋 Thank you for my 💐 So very sorry to hear that you are still living in a building site 😔 No wonder you are in the doldrums 😞 I will keep everything crossed that your builders get their act together & put the RSJ in place on Monday & complete the rest of the attendant work by the end of the week 🤞🙏🤞Also sorry to hear about senior cat Jewel 😔 & hope that you can sort out what is needed to get him/her on the road to recovery ❤️🩹 Very well done on keeping up with the garden decluttering 👏 & keep up the good work on tackling the ‘doom piles’ 😊 If you can get like with like, it should hopefully be a bit easier once the building work is done & you can plan your storage solutions 🙏 Sending you lots of cwtches 🤗 & some treats for Jewel 🙂
Liverpool_Anne, thank you for the birthday wishes & 💐- I have had a lovely birthday & not one person (apart from me) has mentioned my age 😂 Good news that your friend’s husband is slowly recovering although as you say that is an eye watering cost 😣 A decent bit of luck that they have found a helpful taxi driver so are not confined to their house 😮💨 Well done on getting so much done on Thursday - one trip out to cross 5 items off your To Do list 👏 The hunt for the driving licence might not have been successful….. yet …… but at least you have cleared a huge amount of paperwork & done some excellent work decluttering & relocating items to their rightful places 👏 Hope your B12 jab went OK & starts to do its work quickly 🙏
London_1, sounds like you had a lovely Saturday planned 😊 I do hope the weather was kind 🙏
Congratulations on managing a day indoors on Thursday, Florenceem 🥳 Hopefully the root filling/crown post won’t give you any problems 🤞🙏 Very sorry to hear about your neighbours being evicted 😔 I do hope they can find a new home without too much trouble 🙏
QueenJess, congratulations on reaching Maintenance Decluttering status 🥳 You have worked so hard, that I am not at all surprised 😉 That deserves a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way as I type. The apple & blackberry crumble with hm vanilla ice cream was delicious 😋- I bribed one of our waiting staff to hide some for me 😅
Brie, there are several of our Declutterati Family who have done remarkably well 😊 This “I've just decluttered about 120 posts that I should have read.....” made me howl with laughter 😂
Floss, useful information for dND 👏
London_1, fingers crossed that the last remnants of tooth root work their way out quickly so that your gums have time to heal before your bridge is fitted🙏 We are trying hard not to have the central heating on but did succumb today for a couple of hours 😉
Florenceem, I do hope you felt better on Saturday 🙏 I do like it when a takeaway can cover 2 evenings meals 😊
dND, eek to the misunderstanding about the cost of medication 😥 Not sure my blood pressure would have recovered so quickly 😉
London_1, everything crossed for a painless resolution to your dental issues 🤞
Only a page behind now so will head off to bed 🙂 Sleep tight 😴

Liverpool Anne, what a relief that you don't physically need your driving licence, but how vexing that it still hasn't turned up yet.
London 1, I am a big fan of a veg knife. If it's gloss paint I would gently try and scratch it off with the tip of the knife. If it takes the top off the leather with it, shoe polish is always my friend to touch up. Dabbing paint stripper on is always an option but I would think that would certainly take the finish off the leather.
dND, it gets you down when renovations drag on. I think some pressure is needed on the builder. I know my builder responds to those who leave him the most voice mails.
I am still enjoying a very strange bug which now presents itself as earache and razor blade throat first thing in the morning that wears off as the day progresses.
My intention was to do some garden tidying but I am feeling a bit rough and it seems colder than of late.
The chairs have arrived. It seems a shame to paint one of them as it is lovely English oak. The other is oak but nothing of merit so it will get an undercoat today and a new seat covering made. I will enjoy doing it but it isn't clearing my to do list. Going to read in the bath for an hour first!
Have a lovely day folks. Vx:15 -

I did find some good bits to bring home for selling. Someone had donated two black sacks of Harrods year bears. I will get my special faux fur tool and tidy them up and see if I can sell any.
Also, Ebay may be better for the bears, as people can bid silly amounts for rare years 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Thanks for your good wishes for MrRif, @daisy_1571, @vulpix,@weenancyinAmerica, we really appreciate the support is all of you and hugs to all of you who have troubles. Weenancy, MrRif is now lying down, feet high in the air to keep his ankles in a reasonable state. I know what you are going through with all the health professionals coming and going. Ay one point I thought ,”I need a secretary “, especially at the pharmacy ! Decluttering continues, chums,
2 bags for life

1 pile Christmas cards to CS
I pile Christmas decorations to CS
I roll Christmas paper to CS
10 plastic plant pots ready to go to tip. I’m really pleased about the pots as I have discovered they don’t bin them but leave them for people to take. Brilliant. I could easily hit 366 with just plant pots but that wouldn’t be much fun. I’ll leave them for spring when demand might be greater. so
320+20=340/366
hugs for all who would like one.
Keep safe everyone.

Hi all, I am firmly in the tlc carriage today with a hacking cough and streaming nose and eyes
. I am dosed up with paracetamol drinking tea. I have tested and it is not covid. I was supposed to be out for lunch with a friend and the pregnant couple but have sent OH alone as I wouldn't want to pass it on plus I am not really up to it. The baby is appaently breach and they are not hopeful of it turning so preparation is being made for a c section about 2 weeks early so due date has been moved from christmas day to earlier in December. They are very excited
Yesterday a note book uu, body lotion passed to ln and the kitchen was sorted before I went to the footy.
OH has left the house with 4 big bags of gifts, stuff for the baby and birthday presents for our friend so lots decluttered from the lr, the bags and wrapping were from my stash as was the card so that is a win
@Mrs SD lovely knitting. As for your age you are a spring chicken compared to me
@GrannyKate the new house sounds lovely and once the essential work is done I am sure you'll soon be settled inbut the solicitor does sound very inefficient. A local odd job man can be very useful
@Vulpix amazing sewing sessionhow did the elbow hold up with the knitting? Hope the throat and ears feel better soon, hugs
@basketcase alligator wrangling
@Wednesday2000 hope you are feeling better and I can bounce back as quickly, hugs
@London_1 do you know if the paint is gloss or emulsion? If it is emulsion warm water should do it and if it is gloss try the veg knife as suggested by Vulpix. Or you could maybe disguise it with a black sharpie or the shoe polish so even though they are still there they can't be seen
@Florenceem those bears are selling for a good price on the bay of e
@Floss totally agree
Ok I am going to make another cuppa and might crawl onto the couch and find something to dose through on the tv
Hugs to everyone who would like one
1693 note pad uu
1694 body lotion to ln
Take care everyone

44/52 - a big bag of rubbish (clothes not suitable for recycling, makeup set, packaging) to the bin.
45/52 - a huge mac box to recycling. Stored unnecessarily in a cupboard, taking up a lot of space for 6 plus years. Why?!
46/52 - a bag of clothes recycling to the charity bin.15 -
Thanks for your thoughts everyone. @Liverpool_Anne - I believe there are several odd job men in the area where I am going. Took DS2 and partner to see house this morning - they liked it - one room at a time is the plan. We agreed the carpet in the main bedroom, which I don't plan to use at first, should probably go as that definitely smells - I have several rugs which have no home yet so I can take carpet up and spread those over floor. I am planning to sleep in bedroom 2 to start with which is smaller and not in too bad a condition. A whole clan of George and Georgina spiders have been living in outside workshop probably undisturbed this last 20 years.
1538 Children's clothes returned to DS2 - the remainder are in small suitcases to go with me
1539 Paint sorted. Some recently bought large tins to go with me; a few to leave here and one binned
1540 Wall paper brushes etc binned - really old - I will get decorator in
1541-1543 Three more bags of tat to tip (where is it coming from?)
1544 Extension leads collected into one overflowing box - I now have 24 which I am sure I do not need
1545 Furniture protection pads to DS2
1546 A random collection of oddments rounded up and binned
1547 New vacuum cleaner ordered for tomorrow
1548 Remaining parts of old cleaner to recycling at tip
1549 Some old rather manky picnic bags to bin
1550 Something in a plastic bottle to do with car poured away and pot recycled
1551 Committee papers done for Weds and circulated
1552 Lots of emails read and filed, answered or deleted
1553 Broken clothes airer to metal recycling at tip
1554 Packing tally 95 boxes plus 20 bags (the latter includes suitcases of clothes)
Really cold out so having hot cup of tea before venturing to DS2 for Sunday lunch.

I hope you feel better soon Liverpool Anne!
I went out to get some fresh air yesterday and saw my neighbour and said I was keeping my distance as I had been ill. She said lots of people at her work had the cough and sore throat thing.
I went out for a walk around the park today and then went through my tins cupboard, cleaned it all and put it back. I'm about to go through my cleaning products cupboard now.
The park this morning. It is still very mild here. I wouldn't mind a bit of cold and crisp weather if it was sunny.

Sunday is another grey dull day but is due to be warmer with a high of 13°C. I woke up for my 2nd bathroom visit at 11:00 so decided to get up rather than go back to bed 😉 I have my 1st cuppa & am all settled ready to catch up with the cheerleading 🤞
GrannyKate, fingers, toes & eyes crossed that everything now goes smoothly 🤞You have been very unlucky with your solicitor, so I am not at all surprised that you have no confidence in her 😔 Thank heavens your sellers are so amenable 😊 Although I have no real imagination when it comes to house decor, I do like to wander around empty houses 😉 Hopefully DGD1’s horse is on the mend & DGS1 can just buy a belated parking ticket without getting a fine🤞🤞 It does sound like you are more than ready to move especially as you have emptied the freezer 😊 Good luck 🍀
vulpix, you could always make a tabard as well 😅 Excellent work using up so much of your craft stash 👏 Your daughter & her friend sound way too energetic 😂
basketcase, pleased to hear that you are well enough to venture out of the TLC Carriage for a little while 🙂 Although with quite a few members of our Declutterati Family baking treats I can understand why you would like to get back 😉 Some excellent decluttering & great work with the Alligator & Godzilla Wrangling 👏 Well done on your NSDs - 1 in 4 is great work 🥳
Liverpool_Anne, not sure I would call Friday a slow decluttering day especially as you managed to persuade your OH to part with various bits & pieces 👏 Hope your b12 jab kicks in quickly & that your team won yesterday 🤞
Wednesday2000, I do hope you are on the mend ❤️🩹 You have described exactly what my DH has been suffering from but over several days + he had a rather squeaky voice as well - Joe Pasquale eat your heart out 😅 You managed some great decluttering with your spurt of energy 👏
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 It sounds like you are well on target for your friend & her son’s visit 😊 Keep up the good work 😊
London_1, a very productive Saturday & some great bargains in the CS 👏 Good luck with the paint spots removal 🍀 maybe a little wire wool or fine grain sandpaper might do the trick 🤔
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties especially the extra Bags of Joy 👏😊
Florenceem, shame about the sharp bit of tooth - hopefully it won’t cause you too much of an issue 🤞Excellent sales 👏 & good luck with the Harrods Year Bears 🍀 I must say I am a bit annoyed, on your behalf, about the rather sly use of the SA to dispose of Halloween rubbish 😒
Lovely cheerleading post vulpix 👏 Please do spend some time in the TLC Carriage whilst you are recovering from what sounds like the rather nasty bug that seems to be doing the rounds (my DH seems to have the exact same one 😔) No worries about your To Do list, after all you have been so successful with your decluttering that you deserve a reward 😊 & renovating a couple of chairs is just the ticket 😊👏
Floss, thanks for the information 👏 It would seem rather harsh if Florenceem was taxed 😔
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏
Excellent decluttering retiredinfrance 👏 Hopefully MrRif will continue to improve 🙏
Lovely cheerleading Liverpool_Anne 👏 Sorry to hear that you are poorly & have had to miss your lunch date with your friend 😔 Please spend as much time in the TLC Carriage as you can as the hacking cough does sound rather painful 😰 Excellent decluttering yesterday & all done before you went to footy 👏 + more excellent decluttering today 👏 Now please have a rest 🙏
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
GrannyKate, pleased to hear that DS2 & his partner like your new house 😊 & that you are already making plans 😊 More excellent decluttering 👏 I am rather hoping you reach exactly 100 packing boxes 😉 I do like a nice round number 🤣
Wednesday2000, lovely photo - beautiful colours 😻 Once you’ve finished sorting your cupboards perhaps you could pop round & sort mine 🙃😉 I will add that particular task to my Master To Do list 😞 which is getting rather long ☹️
I have caught up with the cheerleading 🥳 So I thought that before I posted I would spend a bit of time in the garden. The ground is wet so it must have rained unbeknownst to me 😅 I have pruned the dahlia to the ground as the last of the flowers have died + I tidied up the clematis whilst DH was filling the bird feeders.
I do hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 😊 Lots of cwtches available for anyone who would like one or needs one 🤗
