Hi all, I have had a really busy few days and I will apologise now as I have only skim read the posts so I haven't retained much information but
@Mrs SD happy belated birthday 🎂💐 glad you had a lovely day
@GrannyKate yeah, finally the move is happening, so pleased for you
@Vulpix could you make the hi viz jacket like a sort of tabbard with ties so it can allow for a bit of growth, knowing how fast children grow at that age
So on Wednesday I visited my friend whose husband had the stroke. Things are improving slowly but improving. The physio came while I was there and he managed to walk using a stick with my friend walking behind him with the wheelchair and the physio ready to steady him. Last time I was there he could only stand using a frame for a short time and couldn't walk at all. This has come at a cost though as they are paying for a physio twice a week as the nhs physio only comes once a fortnight and they have a care package which is costing an eye watering £2800 a month. They have also found a very helpful taxi driver who has a big wheelchair accessible vehicle so they have had a couple of trips out to see an art exhibition and they have found a local stroke support group which they both go to. The speech and language therapy is a whole different story
I stayed so long with my friend I had to do the union phone call parked up in my carbut things are moving along. On the way home I collected my meds as the pharmacy is open late
. After tea I resumed the hunt for the driving licence, 2 massive piles of paper checked, lots recycled
On Thursday I had to go into town to visit a decent book shop for a friend's birthday present so combined the trip with getting 3 Christmas presents at various shops. Also went to the bank to deposit a stash of £2 coins I found. When I got home the hunt resumed and continued until about 3 am when I was so exhausted I decided to stop and go to bed. My head barely touched the pillow before I was asleep. This morning I phoned the course provider with the idea of changing the date of the course as I can order a new licence but I couldn't be sure it would arrive in time. Well wouldn't you know it, it turns out I don't need to take my licence, just photo id so my passport is sufficient
. I thanked the lady profusely and didn't know whether to laugh or cry but did have a smile on my face
. The hunt will continue but honestly there is not many places left to look but I will be moving furniture to check behind and under things but it was a useful exercise as so much stuff has been binned / recycled and a few things rediscovered that have been put where they will be used
so bedroom bin, bedroom recycling x3, 2 items of ood food and 1 ood medication binned, lr bin x3, lr recycling x2, cardboard box recycled, car decluttered, pack of plasters uu on a paper cut that took ages to stop bleeding
4 LDFPA.
This morning I have got 3 loads of washing on the line and topped up the bird feeders which have been sadly neglected in the past few days but I am so tired I don't think much else will be done. I have my b12 jab tomorrow so I am not surprised I am so knackered but I think I will have to do a small sm shop as we seem to be out of bread.
Off to make a cuppa and have a sit and ponder
Hugs to everyone who would like one

I’m looking forward to tomorrow, bus into Ryde drop some more bits at the CS then the library to declutter some of my read-this-week library books and a look at the jigsaw sale they have tomorrow morning there, plus second hand book sale( I’m a sucker for books ) 🤣🤣🤣 then back home for lunch and probably if warm enough a walk through Appley Park to the beach, hopefully to see a red squirrel or two on the way 😃👍
hope everyone has a great weekend and it stays dry with a slight breeze to dry the washing 🤞🥰

I managed to have a day indoors yesterday - doesn't happen often. There was no food collection for SA last night and I don't have to lock up after drummers anymore.
Yesterday sales were £16.70.
Today I had a dentists appointment - I am minus a tooth but plus three fillings. Dentist couldn't remove the remains of a root filling/crown post but hopes the gum will heal and I have no issues. If I need the post cut out - it will be done by a maxillofacial surgeon.
Wrapped and labelled sales today and Mr F has gone to post them. We are having a treat tonight - fish & chips from the chippy - been ages since this happened.
There is a dumped car outside my house - filthy and flat tyres - been there for weeks. Council can't do anything as it is taxed until April 2025.
My neighbours across the road told me today that they are being thrown out of their flat. They have been there years and are good tenants. Apparently they have got a kitten and the landlord saw it in the window. My neighbour offered to pay £1000 as a deposit on any damage and agreed to redo carpets in the entire flat if they ever moved out. Landlord said no. I said - he is probably going to get a new tenant at a higher rent - neighbour would have agreed to pay more as they were very happy in the flat. Landlord just wouldn't budge. He doesn't have a good reputation in the town.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Popping in for the end of the week. Just over a week left at work and then I'm footloose and fancy free for a while (until I find something new). Happy belated birthday @Mrs_Salad_Dodger and thanks for the rock cakes recipe - I've saved that one down for a future baking event.I am definitely declaring that I am decluttered with the exception of photos that I still need to trawl through and some food overstock to use up in the cupboards. I may pick that up once my job finishes. Otherwise, it is all maintenance decluttering here to ensure I stay on top of everything. I almost don't know what to do with myself as the house is clean and mostly tidy without much effort! I am mainly switching my efforts to using what I have and finding alternatives from what I have to avoid any unnecessary shopping (due to lack of a job soon). DD keeps being invited to these whole class birthday parties (which stress me out a bit!), so the gift wrap/bags stock is taking a bit of a hit at the moment.I'm literally just taking a hm apple and blackberry crumble out of the oven (free blackberries picked by me
) to go with hm vanilla ice cream; so I'll pop that in the tlc carriage. There's also some lovely hm chocolate chip brioche left if you can beat DH and DS to it...

@GrannyKate I'm not sure that you should be insuring between exchange and completion, is that on your purchase? If so, it's not yours until completion so not your responsibility.
@dND my cat Whisky has arthritis and I buy her Metacam online from Animed for £15-ish, for a bottle that lasts her about 2 months. It costs £25 for the vet prescription but it works out much cheaper. My son's diabetic cat's meds come from Animed too.

We had to insure our new property before we completed apparently it had to be done in case anything untoward happens, but my son-in-law sorted it out
Florencrem I had a crown fall out several weeks ago and had to have the post removed and it disintegrated. Since then I keep getting bit working there way out and last week my dentist dug another bit out. I have to go back on the 22nd as hopefully my bridge will be ready for the first fitting, but I’ve got some more bits working up so the socket is no healing yet properly. Bit of a nuisance really and it’s been fairly costly as well as just the removal cost me 150 pounds. No NHS dentists on the IoW, but the chap I’ve got is really good.Getting really nippy in the evenings now but I’m quite cosy as I have some thick socks on plus my furry bootee slippers my grandson bought me from the USA. It gets pretty chilly in NYC in the winter. Our central heat clicks on if the tempreture drops in the sitting room below 20c which means it will click on for an hour then afterwards clicks off by then the whole house is nice and warm and as there is a conservatory right across the back of the house with sliding doors to the sitting room it maybe only clicks on about twice a day if that so the central heating isn’t too bad as the sitting room hold the heat in
tomorrow afternoon DD and I are going to buy my curtain pole and blinds for my new sitting room 👍😃😃😃14 -
London_1 - The post is well fixed into my jaw bone which is why the dentist would not be able to remove it if it causes me a problem.
Very easy to remove the tooth as it was just held in by my gums. I have a tummy ache this evening - I think it is the anaesthetic as I had quite a few injections.
Got two more parcels to wrap this evening.
We really enjoyed the fish and chip treat. So much food that we have half left for another meal.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Funny story:
The reason I looked online was because when I asked the receptionist for the cost of the 3ml bottle, (only the small bottle because it was to see if arthritis was the problem), I was told £156! 😱😱
It was only after looking up the online price, (less than £6), that I realise she quoted my current bill which had the cost of the consultation and of the blood test that had just been done, (and hopefully will be paid for by the insurance). Took a little while for my blood pressure to recover from that. 🤣🤣🤣DxAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

Florenceem, Oh dear sounds grim hopefully you will feel a bit better tomorrow, My chap had to cut in to get the root bit out but as it had been there for well over 30 odd years its hardly surprising it all crumbled and bits are still going to the surface.
I think when I go next time it will be another injection and probably cut into my gum followed by a couple of stitches. Teeth are a pain when they arrive, and even more of a pain when they go. i've had two crowns literally fall out in the past three months and having the roots removed is quite costly but it is what it is and hopefully the bridge will help once its sorted
