I sorted out the junk drawers in the kitchen again! I put some flyers into the recycling, moved my kindle and charger to the living room and generally tidied up. I put an old ice cream tub that I was using as storage into the recycling too. I found a fiver in with the paperwork so that went into my xmas 2024 fund.
I am out today for a meal and to the cinema after going to the dentist first. She is just cleaning up my front tooth as it gets stained as it has a chip in it so nothing painful.
I did want to look in the chazzers as I have a flapping hole in the sole of my black boots. I am going to wear them out today and hopefully going to find a "new" pair and wear them home and will be able to put the ones I'm wearing into a clothes recycling bin while I'm in Southend city centre.
It feels cold again. I am going to take my mittens in my bag just in case I need them later as they are lovely and warm.17 -
Hi all, yesterday all I managed to declutter was some hair and money
. When I got home I was really cold as there was no heating in the hairdressers and once I took my coat off I could really feel it. So naturally I decided to finish sorting out the freezer when I got home
. By the time I finished that I was really cold, made a cuppa and had something to eat, curled up on the couch under a blankie and fell asleep
. Last night I was out at the footy and got home late so just watched a bit of tv before bed.
Tonight we are out for tea with the newly engaged couple so no cookingI have washing to sort so I will go and get on with that.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

While I was slowly getting ready, I found and disposed of the following:-
Old make up item I don't like
Gloopy nail polish
Instruction leaflet (they're straighteners they straighten 🤷♀️)
4 rubbishy pens
That brings my total to 55 since 1st January. Not bad for a maintenance declutter 😁Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Mrs SD sorry to hear about your DSis and nephew.
Old make up yesterday but nothing else as working long days and taking dd2 back to uni at weekend. Going to give her casserole dishes as she wants to eat healthily and I have no oven, not not anyone needs the amount or dishes I have. Listening to more Andrew Mellen who again focuses on action , and not sure listening counts as action. Big items meant to be picked up Fri and Sat but noticed damage to one so need to let the person know so they can consider if they want.
Dd1 wants am office chair and told her I'd got rid of the one I had got her few years ago. Then realised dd2 has one at home and is away most of the time and I use other chairs so that could be out.
New plan if I can declutter enough and find smaller but big enough house in say 18 months / 2years. Dd1 may do part time masters and I may retire and go travelling and she can live in my house if I'm not there much. She'll move out of London after . But she wouldn't live in my muddle and as she said " please mum buy somewhere you like and don't need to do building work so you can just sit down and have a cup of tea"! Pipe dream but good to have possibilities!

Wondering if it's worth my time and effort to try and recycle a percolator. I don't have the instruction manual anymore though there's one that should work instead on line. But would anyone want this?? Admittedly when we used to use it (10 years back?) it made great coffee. Currently it's sitting in one of the boxes to be taken to a charity shop but I know the shop won't take it.
And other than that I'm trying to keep out of the way of the busy workers. We've 4 people in the kitchen banging and sawing and assembling. I think they are really determined to get as much done this week as possible. No doubt they have another job starting on Monday. That said I know that the painting will be done next week, and possibly the electrics finalised (nail biting as it appears there's been a number of things bodged previously). It will be interesting to see if we are actually allowed to use the kitchen over the weekend. We still have plenty of restaurants we could go to but there's only so many fried breakfasts one can eat even if you do choose a different place every day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Under Junior Flamingo's bed has been turned out and cleaned. I have no idea what is now sticking up the inside of my vacuum from it, so there's another job to do! Still haven't found the bits of the toy I was looking for.
+2 toys being given to local school, +10 toys for bin, +44 bits of general waste, +1 ripped wallet, +3 plastic tub lids without bottoms, +26 bits from expired covid tests as well as my negative one, +1 dead battery = +87Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Not loads of decluttering going on here as been so busy with real life stuff (good things like going to dinner with a neighbour) and also trying to declutter a rather large to do list. I may set myself a frog challenge as I am trying to now get to a place where I feel under control, the place is always tidy and I can properly relax in the evenings. It is getting closer, but more work to do.Anyway, just popping in as there has been some great decluttering going on and I thought you would appreciate my kitchen decluttering. Post fridge/freezer cleans and some cupboard sorting out last year in the kitchen, I have been much better at not overbuying, although there is still some work to do on using up some old stuff in there so I can finally get to a minimalist oasis in the cupboards! Yesterday I made some bread and finally used up a large pot of table salt that DH already had when we moved in together... so I think he's probably had it about 19 years... good job it doesn't go off! As I don't use much salt, I've been working on that one for a long time and it's survived 4 house moves! I was very excited to see that go and finally get some space back in the cupboard as it was a huge bottle. Now the table salt can live with my baking stuff in that cupboard and is a much smaller pot (we have salt crystals for use at the table).DH also got someone in to professionally clean the oven and fix the light bulb that went in there (only been waiting 2 years for that one). I think I might need another lie down lol!Digital:

I have decluttered the broken salt and pepper grinders into the bin. Ha!
Drawer under the TV unit has been decluttered, which really means leaving a pile of stuff for OH to sort through, which isn't his forte.
I decluttered the mugs and glasses cupboard. There are a few bits to chuck but I was really looking for my tea strainer and reusable tea bag, so I can start decluttering my national collection of tea leaves.19 -
Decluttered the toys to the school (+1 for the errand of disposing), then +1 bag of soft plastics to shop. Managed to resist the urge to look in the homewares, which is a big temptation for recluttering!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Hi everyone
popped in and then disappeared as had awful news from the vet. My Tiggy is around 15 years old and I took her in for what I thought was an abscess but turned out to be a callous. Nevertheless was told she doesn't have long. Have changed her diet somewhat, brought back in high quality dog food instead of just the fresh meats/fish I was giving her. She has picked up !
Anyway, couldn't decide how I was going to do this (still haven't decided) so......
4 x big bags of books, clothes etc went to charity shop on Tuesday. Better than nothing.
