I'm off up north on Saturday for DD's birthday. Have decluttered a bottle of prosecco and a chocolate panettone into my suitcase to take up to the celebrations.
Decluttered the last of the Xmas prawns into my dinner tonight and decluttering the rest of the sprouts into a stir fry tomorrow for lunch.
Decluttered some more weight, 1.7kg lost this week. Happy with that.19 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I’m back - creepy laugh 🤭 Dinner was veal escalopes in breadcrumbs with boiled potatoes, green beans & peas. Wudupa.
61 - 62 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
63 Kitchen detritus binned
For some reason I am finding it hard to concentrate so I will wish everyone a good night’s sleep & will see you tomorrow 😊

Thank you flamingo, all those challenges and more. I didn't realise how many different things we have accepted as her little quirks until I sat down and listed them out at the weekend 😔. We will get the answers we need because I am a stubborn madam who doesn't take no for an answer 👍 Just glad to have the senco's backing as her school work isn't affected but they seem to be taking my concerns seriously.
Today I am planning on a spot of decluttering in my ds room. A small room so shouldn't take long and I am hoping to take a look at my c-mas decorations. They are currently spread across multiple boxes in my hallway and are beginning to annoy me now. Anyone have any tips? I was planning on keeping 3 different colour options (1. Red, green, gold, 2?? 3??) But I am also tempted to just keep 1 option to make life simpler but I am struggling to make a decision about what to do... 😬 also I am not a fan of c-mas so would happily avoid all this but I have 3 young children although my eldest dd (8) wants to have a discussion about whether the big guy is real on Saturday... I have been avoiding this since October... might have to count it as a 🐸2024 decluttering Campaign

DFW I have taken mine down to just one colour. If I ever get desperate for change there will be plenty available to buy, borrow, or get secondhand.
I think today will be decluttering under Junior Flamingo's bed. There is a big toy I want rid of but bits are missing, and I need to find them before I can list it. However, I also need to go to the shop, and do a massive admin frog (switch to UC). I also have a rattly cough, so should probably declutter a covid test.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Morning all. Ooof @Dfw38 I hope the Father Christmas conversation goes okay... with the decorations, have you gone through and got rid of anything old and tatty? And everything that never gets put on the tree? That's a good start. I just have one set of decorations, it does make life easier!
I'm feeling okay this morning, just didn't get to sleep until about 2.30 am, I don't know why, and I was awake on Wednesday morning at 3 am, so I do feel tired 😂 I'm drinking tea in bed at the moment ...
Plans for today are a little light pottering, some digital decluttering, and sorting through my two pen pots. I've also got a letter to write to my old boss 🙂 I ordered myself some flowers so I have something pretty to look at while I'm recuperating and they are arriving today - not very MSE but I'm worth it 😂 Oh and I'm going to buy a little gift for my lovely friend who took me to hospital, hung around with me and brought me home again yesterday - so sweet of her 😁
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Morning all - there were 39 posts to read when I logged on. I keep saying lurgy has gone but kept coughing at meeting yesterday. Better this morning. DD has trapped nerve in back and has had to cancel her visit here this weekend. She managed to see GP and has much stronger painkillers and got some sleep last night. DS1 is 52 today - where did the years go. Meeting went ok and I treated (not a good choice of word as it looked really unappetising although tasted ok) to quick lunch out. Popped into Mr S and got trousers I really like reduced from £20 to £6. That is one item of clothing I do need. I plan to have a scan through wardrobe and drawers as there are still things I never wear. I did handwrite some lists (at boring parts of meeting) so will type them up into tables and pin on study board.

@TheDoolallyDillyI do hope you are recovering nicely. I think buying yourself some flowers an excellent idea. I had intended to buy some daff a couple of days ago but they have moved the flowers section in sainos and I missed them! Fresh flowers are always and nice way to brighten a room and give you a lift.Im struggling with my energy levels again, so not planning much today I have made a short list. Yesterday I removed 3 pairs of trousers from my wardrobe. " of them are exactly the same but diff colours. They had been wwaiting for me to lose some weight to fit them properly. HAving done this I was pleased that 1 of the pairs now fits, however, annoyingly they look old, you know when the dark blue colour fades and they look a browny reddish colour! Ive worn them a fewt imes and washed them and looked at them again, but no! So I tried on the cream pair and they dont fit! Odd as exactly the same size and look like new! anyhow they are boths going and another pair which are not going to be worn.ALso picked up lots of bit and pieces of rubbish and odds and ends that needed to be put away. Rehomed by BACH flowers remedies into my drawer rather than on top of the chest of drawers. Ive been collecting these slowy over the last few years, they are beautiful flower remedies, i think I only have about 5 more to buy.Have a good day allFlowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

⭐My rambling savings Diary ~⭐19 -
Not been able to do much this week as caring duties for mum got in the way - this is why i set a monthly target as some weeks I know will be like this. Not moaning about having to do this but more of an observation.
I think one of the important things on my declutter journey is that i am now realistic as in the past I set targets and then got annoyed with myself for not achieving them. This in turn meant I gave up as i felt i’d failed.
Really wish the weather would improve as got things to take to the allotment and they are cluttering my hallway!
Don’t put it down - put it away!
