@Wednesday2000 how about keeping a list on your phone? I use my phone for a lot of lists, and have an app where I can check k things off. I uncheck things when I notice in the house that we need them, and them check them off as I shop. I use ColorNote, and put the widget on my home screen

Not started yet, but I have a few areas to look at today, especially gaming and DVDs!

Oh! +1 for a frog, sorted out Junior Flamingo's school pick up so it's 7:42, not 7:05 which he has been struggling with

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January

2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m 

3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis

4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc

5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed 

Good morning - another bright but freezing day. I am out of bed & snuggled up in my dressing gown with my first cuppa 🙂 DSis has taken her cuppa up to her room. A sad story coming up: since her son ‘used’ the cheques which she had left behind (for the 2 of them to have a holiday together in 2024) her last phone call with him was September 15th when she insisted he return the money. Since that date he has not called once - not even a Christmas phone call let alone an apology call 😔 Usually DSis would have caved in/forgiven him by now but she is so disappointed/angry/upset that she is holding firm & waiting for her son to phone & apologise/explain/ask for forgiveness. DH & I are staying well out of it 😉 I do love my nephew but he has let his mum & himself down yet again 😢 

Anyway I digress & will now move to more pleasant conversation by doing some cheerleading before I get dressed & persuade myself to go out 😅

vulpix, so sorry to hear that you had a restless night with “a bad chest/ asthma/lurgy” 😔 Please, please return to the TLC Carriage once the plumber has sorted out the radiator 🙏 ……… Although I see that is not going to happen as you are off to your Mum’s to do some decluttering 😔 

GrannyKate, some lovely items in your kitchen to conjure up pleasant memories of of your grandma, nan & Mum 😊 Very well done on reducing the number of paperwork & photos boxes from 20 to 8 👏 So pleased to hear that DS2 has finally received a good proportion of the money owed to him 👏 Hopefully now some equilibrium can be restored & DS2 can start recovering & enjoying life once more 🤞Hope the meeting goes well 😊

Welcome back mehefin 👋 & congratulations on catching the EDT 🥳 Such a lovely story about the signet ring & your DS is very lucky 😊 Sounds like going through the sheet music was very emotional but so many beautiful memories to draw on 😊 Perhaps your favourite/most evocative one could be framed 🤔 I am hoping that the community library decluttering is less emotional & that the internal refit is completed quickly 🤞

Just noticed the time, so I will post this & come back later to finish the cheerleading 🙂 After reading how much decluttering everyone is doing, I am getting dressed, wrapping up warm & heading out the door - DH will be surprised 😂

I don't know why I'm so old school about it, I just prefer writing it down on paper.

I did just remember something I had to do as the kennel asked us to write them a list of dates that we need booked in for the year. I will do that to give them for when my dog is picked up tomorrow.

@foxandflowers don’t worry about decluttering pasta from your diet…… Sainsbury’s gf pasta is more than acceptable and not awfully more expensive. Rice noodles make a good alternative too. Also worth googling Becky Excell and her website. Real food recipes that are gluten free…including cake.

15 pens not working. Annoying had saved a set of 12 for special occasion and they had dried out. Never again. Enjoy.

Few jobs crossed of the list this morning and had my hair cut and popped to the shop. Also had man here to measure for 3 new windows.

Will probably do some more in a bit, but for now it's 130 😍 Glad to be back to it as have had a few demotivated days.

@Mrs-Money-Penny you have reminded me that I have a scratchy running-out pen in my kitchen pen pot, and even though it annoys me, I keep putting it back in the pot!

I'm currently in my hospital bed after my op, but will be discharged in a couple of hours, so the pen can go, and I'll go through the others.

Everyone is steaming ahead with their decluttering!

We are under instruction from dad that he wants the house empty by the end of the month so he can get it up for sale. I  don't blame him the council tax is going to double from April. Shocking rip off if you ask me just because its empty 
Managed to get 10 carrier bags of stuff from it. Some is rubbish so will put into our general waste bin some needs moving on. I don't really want it all going to the tip (not appropriate) and as I am the one that recycles fully I have this task. I don't mind. There is a bag of plastic bags that are deteriorating beyond use so need to go to
Most of it now for the CS so I need to get a wobble and get it dropped off. This stuff is still in the back of my car and I'm refusing to bring it into the house. The crochet blankets have still not been dropped off. (hangs my head in shame)

Completed another frog this morning re the loss of my diamond from solitaire still is going on. I'm at peace at the moment with the conversation about the replacement one in accepting it.
