Howdy folks. Just a quick update because the past few days have been busy and we've been feeling a bit off.
#25: Mr. Jings has listed lots of items on eBay. Two have already sold: a phone and one of his old rucksacks. He posted the phone yesterday and is sending the rucksack this afternoon. There haven't been any takers or even page views on either of the laptops yet.
Selling mine would yield about £300 – £400 and would be a huge help with some of the trips and conferences I have planned for this year.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday is a sunny bright day but so cold 🥶 & rather breezy . Woke up at about 09:30 to use the bathroom but then went back to bed & didn’t wake up until 11:55. I am now snuggled up in my dressing gown having my first cuppa & keeping up with the cheerleading 😉
TheDoolallyDilly, excellent decluttering & almost halfway to target in just over a week 👏 Good luck dealing with the Frog 🍀 although I am hoping that it only turns out to be a tadpole 🤞
Fizz2015, sorry to hear that your OH has succumbed to the ‘lurgy’ 😔 Good luck with the freezer emptying 🍀
GrannyKate, sorry to hear that the ‘lurgy’ is still hanging on 😔 Great work decluttering DGS4’s clothes 👏 & hopefully DGD4 will oust the same number of items 🤞 Thanks for the reminder about birthday cards as I just found one that I forgot to post before NY 🙊 It will only arrive 15 days late but I doubt the 2 year old will care 😉 Good luck with today’s To Do list 🍀
Pleased to hear that you slept well Liverpool_Anne 😊 & are feeling well enough to brave the cold 😊 but please wrap up warmly 🙏
TC77, no speed limit & the course I sent our driver on, seems to have been a bit of a waste 😂 She is still determined to break the speed record currently 603kpm 😥 I really hope there are not too many items coming from your dad’s place 🤞 as you have been doing so well recently 😊 Good luck with the jewellery decluttering 🍀
Good luck disposing of the coat hangers TheDoolallyDilly, 🍀 Another type of item that appears to breed quickly like odd socks & paperwork 😞
dND, very true - mice can be very cute but as you say there are rather unclean ☹️ Thanks for the information about the flour beetles/weevils 👏 - so many creatures out to get us 😥
vulpix, I suppose the ‘good’ thing about the radiator & the resultant washing line breakage is that it counts as three lots of bad luck - broken radiator, dirty carpet & towels & broken washing line 🤨 Hopefully the plumber is available very soon 🤞
TheDoolallyDilly, good work chipping away at the frog 👏
wort, lovely to see you 👋 Thank you for not only sharing your decluttering experience but also for the useful Tips 👏 I did smile at the vision of you ‘infiltrating your relatives homes to get your fix of decluttering’ 😂 I imagined you as a Ninja 🥷 but carrying bin bags, recycling bags & CS bags instead of a sword 😂
JingsMyBucket, sorry to hear that you & Mr Jings have been feeling a bit ‘off’ 🤒 - hopefully you are now on the mend 🤞Wishing you continued success with your listings especially the laptops 😊
Off to get dressed now & tick something off my To Do list 😉

It looks like I am going to the TLC carriage for a bit as well as I have picked up the cold going round 😔 so I will be sniffling in the corner feeling very sorry for myself.
Hopefully I can persuade Mr Puppy to take a parcel down for drop off as we managed to sell a coat that doesn't fit and I just want it out of the house.
Well wishes to everyone else who's ill, I'll try not to pass my cold on as well.20 -
I’ve never spotted a weevil in my flour but my kitchen is unheated and the larder/cupboards are on a cold outside wall. Maybe my kitchen is inhospitable to beasties…..
We did have mice that liked to come through the ventilation grid in the wall for a while. They soon gave over when they encountered our then cat and dog.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

MrsSD definitely not leant out as the essential jump cables are still here!
I'm not sure who mentioned hangers, but FB/olio is the way I usually get rid
+1 bag of stuff given to Craft Club. Have been out most of the morning, it was nice to see people I haven't seen for months, but so cold!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Afternoon all, I had an early start this morning as my OH was being interviewed on local radio in relation to some community work.
The reporter came here at 6.30am!! So there was some hanging around after I'd made tea and coffee before I needed to start work. I managed to clear another part of an underwear drawer, including some wired underwear that I can't wear post breast cancer surgery but I hadn't been able to bring myself to chuck away so that's real progress both practically and emotionally.
I've also (inspired by others!) unscubscribed to 15 emails. I manage to keep on top of my personal emails day to day but I've got thousands from when I didn't which I need to address one day....
Lastly - does everyone have a make up, skin care, hair care, bits and pieces drawer of doom? I currently have 3 half drawers and I don't know how to sort it out? I've always had one... suggestions for improvement would be lovely!
Have a lovely afternoon everyone

I did buy plastic containers to put inside the drawer to separate hair stuff from skin care etc... which did help me.2025 GOALS

for bits and pieces I try to sort into little plastic boxes and pop same items or near same/related into separate ones. It's a great way to use up those glass Gu pots we all seem to accumulate too.
but same rules as everything else - if it's so old it's solid, chuck. If you don't remember buying it, chuck. If it smells funny, chuck. If it's leaking/broken, chuck.
If you don't love it, chuck!
I had found a new breed of Issey Miyake perfume on sale and after trying it several times and prevaricating for several months I decided it wasn't anywhere nears as nice as the original fragrance so I popped it into the charity bag. I'm sure someone would want a 95% full bottle and it made a hole I will fill when I find the stuff I really like going at a good price.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Now I think I will redo my toiletries drawer in a minute.
The old mattress is being picked up this week by the council for only £10 which is good. I managed to declutter some money to the vet for my dog's checkup and vaccs yesterday. My husband just took my cat to get her claws clipped now, but that should only be a small amount of money. I have booked in the window/gutters cleaner for next week.
It was so cold here yesterday, first sleet and then snow that didn't settle. Possibly TMI, but I am feeling out of sorts due to the HRT patches as I started them January 1st for perimenopause and they are making my boobs feel huge and sore! I did google and apparently that is very common. I did get a takeaway and some wine last night as I can't do Dry January as it is too depressing at this time of year. I did at least do 7 days of no alcohol so better than nothing! I did save some money too so that has gone into the Christmas 2024 fund.
Today I woke up feeling much better as I do like my new mattress although my husband thinks it is too firm, but I prefer that as I think now that the old mattress was causing me neck pain. It was in contrast a lovely day outside, chilly but very sunny with a blue sky. I managed to use my treadmill for 10 minutes at home and then had a 45 minute walk as the weather was so nice. It wasn't even that cold.
I have the dentist on Thursday morning and I have booked the cinema for Thursday too so I will take the donation bags then. I have two full bags to donate now.

Oh meant to say - well done for being strong on the wired contraptions. I don't know if it's still a thing but a few years back a shopping centre near me did a publicity thing for breast cancer by festooning the entire place with bunting made out of bras. Amazing what was on display. And it had a lot of blokes blushing which was hilarious.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
