Thank you @Dfw38, @QueenJess and @flamingo747 I did think about just writing how many items but I've been looking at that list for the last 4 weeks wondering what we were going to do with it. It probably wasn't the best option but we've spent the last 20 years surrounded by boxes and rubbish that I just wanted it gone. A whole Wheelie bin and more, full of rubbish! Plus the cardboard and it hasn't really made a dent.
I know where some of its come from though, while sorting the boxes the other day and finding a bag of barbies, DD2 was so upset when I mentioned giving them away and that she would be so sad if they go. She's 15 (16 next month) hasn't played with them for years but can't bare parting with anything. She has autism and there's a chance I do to, I don't know if we're just natural holders or if that has anything to do with it. But I'm desperate for it to be clear now.
And now I've wrote an essay just to say thank you. I'm off to bed now.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Someone stole my weekend 🤨 i did lay in bed this morning trying to persuade myself it was Sunday.Tonight was some lazy easy decluttering as in sitting watch the tv with a pile of paperwork separating into shredding, to file and recycle bin. I made the mistake of leaving the piles on the floor when I popped upstairs and was fooled by a 'asleep' cat - piles required some resorting 🙄 TBH it's not the first time a cat has fooled me this way
last of the stollen was declutterred after dinner, don't tell the weigh loss thread 😁😋Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin19 -
@BudgetingBelinda I never grow out of sea glass!
@charlies_tribe I'd still have barbies now at 40, and also probably on the spectrum
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger nope, still not found it! I cannot think of anywhere left to look. I have to wonder if the car has been left unlocked and its been stolen at some point

Hi all, didn't post last night as I fell asleep. The cough is slowly going so I can get some undisturbed sleep thank goodness
. 2 things make me very grumpy, lack of sleep and needing to eat so I'm in a much better mood now
In the past couple of days I have 2 LDFPA, 1 very large box into the recycling, 1 session of self care, bedroom recycling emptied, bedroom bin emptied, bathroom bin emptied, kitchen recycling emptied, kitchen bin emptied, bank account checked as I am waiting on a refund to appear but not exactly sure where it has gone. 2 bags of flour have been binned as they were discovered to have flour beetles. This is the second time this has happened and I have come to the conclusion they must come in with the flour as last time it happened everything was binned and the cupboards thoroughly cleaned and the new stock was put in a different cupboard in a different room. I know these besties as I did some work on their genetics when I was at college and they are very difficult to eradicate in food. Also, drum roll....the freezer has been defrosted. It took 5 hours and I now have 2 loads of towels and tea towels to wash but at least OH can stop complaining about me refusing to buy stuff to be batch cooked and frozen
. I still have to sort it out as stuff was just taken out and rammed into the other freezer, job for tomorrow
@foxandflowers I hate ironing with a passion and I do have some to do but if I can I now fold it and put it away as soon as it is dry, at this time of year I usually have a jumper on over my t shirts so even if they are a bit creased no one can see them, shirts etc are put on hangers straight out of the machine and rarely need ironing. Things that really do need to be ironed are few and far between now
So much being done, hugs to anybody who would like one
29 + 30 LDFPA
31 session of self care
32 large cardboard box recycled
33 bank account checked
34 bedroom recycling
35 bedroom bin
36 bathroom bin
37 kitchen recycling
38 kitchen bin
39 2 bags flour binned and cupboard cleaned
40 freezer defrosted
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH & I ended up having pork & beans on toast with an egg on top, whilst DSis had a tin of chicken noodle soup. Wudupa.
30 - 31 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
32 Kitchen detritus binned
Now a final, I hope, charge to get the cheerleading completely up to date 🙏🤞
vulpix, great work using up lots of bits from cupboards, fridge & freezer 👏 Maybe a mustard taste testing evening combined with sausage tasting (provided you are not a vegetarian) 🤨 Further information reveals that they are work boots costing about £130 😬 + 5 pairs of socks 🙂 DH has had a lucky start to 2024 as he won £300 on the Premium Bonds as well 😉 Of course he has been lucky for over 30 years, after all he is married to me 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for the invite, would love to meet up 😊 DH will be getting the 2024 Round Britain Rally landmark list at the end of March so will discuss once he has done some planning 😊 I did have to smile at your comments about ironing 😃 & bless your aunt’s cotton socks - which I bet she ironed as well 😉 Sounds like you are enjoying your new to you fit bit 😊
oceanspirit, not sure I would be inviting those guests again 😅 Some excellent decluttering & now you are about to tackle frogs 🤩👏
Crazycatlady2, sounds like a lovely day 😊 Watching The X-Files - a suitable reward for having to make packed lunches 😉 Just wondering if your son is old enough to make his own packed lunches 🤔 😉
charlies_tribe, absolutely no need to apologise for the length of your post 😊 It is a celebration of the huge & eclectic amount of decluttering you have done 🥳
Dfw38, 😋 very tasty - not usually a fan of brownies 😉
QueenJess, pleased to hear that you are resting from physical decluttering 😊 although I wasn’t surprised to hear that you got bored & managed so much digital decluttering 👏 I see you are over half way to your first target, so about time I awarded you a Gold Star ⭐️ - on its way to you through the snow 😊
Excellent decluttering pixtotts 👏
Well done on tidying up after your marathon decluttering session flamingo747 👏 Good luck decluttering Junior Flamingo’s toys 🍀
BudgetingBelinda, sounds about right - how quickly youngsters forget their collections 😉 Although well done to him for helping you to declutter them 👏 Sea glass definitely has to stay 😊
florianatwobob, you are very welcome 😊 I have a very strong belief that your strong start will continue through the rest of the year 😊
charlies_tribe, looking at the list for 4 weeks your Only sensible option was to get shot as quickly as possible 👏 Now that the Barbies are out of their box, maybe DD2 will start playing with them & you might be able to encourage her to donate a few to a CS 😊
Brambling, funny you should say that - I tried the same thinking - it didn’t work for me either 😂 Your secret is safe with us 😉
flamingo747, any chance you loaned it to a neighbour/friend/family member 🤔
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏 Well done on braving the Cupboard of Doom 😉 & finding the floor 🤩
short_bird, that is absolutely brilliant 🤩 Thank you so much for sharing 😊
wishus, our mice live in the garden box where all the bird food is stored & move over to the compost bin when they get too cold 😉 Unfortunately they are very messy - the tidy gene seems to have bypassed them 😂 Well done on resisting OH’s ‘desire’ to keep the cat ornament 😉
Liverpool_Anne, pleased to hear that the cough is finally making its way to the exit 😊 Hopefully you will be able to catch up on your sleep over the next couple of nights & will feel ten times better 🤞Excellent decluttering & congratulations on getting the freezer defrosted 👏 🥳 I really need to get mine done but still don’t have enough room in the 2nd freezer 😔 I am keeping my fingers crossed that you have enough ingredients that can be defrosted so that OH can do some batch cooking & you can delay the shopping trip for at least another few days 🤞
And breathe 🧘♀️ 🧘♀️ All caught up so tomorrow I will start to get some tasks crossed off my To Do list 😮💨 it was getting rather long 😉

That's a fabulous long list @charlies_tribe It must feel good?
I rummaged in the spare room wardrobe yesterday after work, and found four things for the charity bag. I'd held onto them to sell, but .. didn'tI'm quite time poor and just didn't get around to it. Someone else can enjoy them, and I'm paying it forward.
Random bits and bobs bring my total to 42 items so far, out of my 100 for January. I'm impressed with myself, as I'm very much maintenance decluttering.
It's my day off today, and it's 🥶🥶🥶🥶 so I'm currently in bed with a nice cup of tea and the cat. I'm sure I'll find some more to go today and I'm going to start on The Frog and get things transferred to my portable hard drive and the papers shredded.Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
