Oops, only got up at 12:30 on Monday, even though I was awake at 11:00 😔 so I missed the dry weather 😅 It has just heaved it down 🌧️ & now a steady drizzle. Just 20 minutes later & the sun came out. It has rained on & off all day but is currently dry 22:50. Another day of knitting & watching old episodes of Law & Order. Dinner was bolognaise sauce with added peas topped with cheesy mash served with green beans. Wudupa.

QueenJess, no wonder you were “weirdly awake” 😥 I hope you are very proud of yourself 🥹 All your hard work is paying off & I am especially impressed that any tidying required was restricted to upstairs 🥳 Excellent decluttering of your wardrobe 👏 worthy of a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 🙂
vulpix, that’s expensive 😱 was it made of gold 😧 Good luck with your crafting🍀
I will break off from individual cheerleading to thank all of you for sharing your experiences of radiotherapy 👏 🥹
Excellent decluttering 2Scratters 👏 This “I even started and finished a job completely something I never manage to do as I get distracted and move onto something else. I think we all have a bit some of the spectrum traits without realising. I'd watched a YT podcast of Joshua Becker and what he said about never getting things finished completely actually has a name. It made so much sense why the brain does not switch off when something is incomplete. So this morning I completed a task of no particular importance ……….” resonated with me completely 👏 So very well done on seeing a task through from start to finish 👏 To go with the feeling of satisfaction (hopefully) I am awarding you a medal🏅
More excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 I live in hope that your DH WILL get around to sorting out both his wardrobes & the massive box of shoes 🤞Well done to your DD 😊 but a bit of a shame that DS spotted the toy buses before they could leave the house 😉
Pennypincin, belated Birthday Greetings for yesterday 🎂 🥳
Soontobeoap, love the idea of getting a bigger house to store all your crafting items 😂
vulpix, fingers crossed that your children will collect all their ‘stuff’ in the not too distant future 🤞 I hope you have a lovely break & that the forecast is incorrect 🙏 Hopefully the temperatures will be in the high teens to low twenties 🤞
GrannyKate, hope you had a lovely time in Provence 😊 Fingers crossed that there is finally some real movement on your house move 🤞
2Scratters, excellent work by DH 👏 I am sending him a medal 🏅 More great work by you sorting out your clothes 👏🥳 Long may Sis1 continue to do her bit 🙏
Excellent work with your sales BlueJ94 👏 Are you raising funds for anything specific?
Liverpool_Anne, lovely cheerleading post 😊 Your DNiece & her DH are definitely organised & focused 🤩 Sounds like you had a great weekend 😊 although the food does sound rather disappointing it did mean you got to have a pudding 😉 Happy Birthday for ?? 🎂🥳
Well done on making your Master To Do list weenancy 👏 I still haven’t got around to doing mine 😔 Fingers crossed that you will finally get some rain & soon 🤞 I second both Floss & daisy_1571 ‘s comments re “toxic roommate” It does sound like the sooner he is on his way, the better the atmosphere will be. Good luck 🍀 Hopefully the results of the MRI will lead to some treatment so that you are able to move around without the Walker 🙏
The Sci-Fi channel is repeating a series called ‘The Leftovers’ which I am currently watching before heading to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Weenancy, sorry to read you are having a difficult time at the moment. Fingers crossed that your back problem is easily and quickly solvable. Definitely you don't need a roommate draining your already limited budget.
Queen jess, I loved the baked apples thank you - I haven't had the energy to make my own this year and have turned down the offer of free apples as I just don't have space to deal with them.
Seven DVDs ready to go to CS. We both buy more when we go so these are a neutral declutter really.
A couple more items from the box that was on top of the washing machine have been cleaned and put back into use.
Have made a start on the reading pile which has been building back up again whilst I have been focusing on other things. Also deleted over 50 emails yesterday as these have massively built up again. 250 to go although I may not be able to get to them today as I have cooking to do.
I am another who starts things and doesn't finish them. I have been working on an online education course over the last three weeks and have completed the first part of three and am a quarter of the way through the second. It has started to get more difficult so I need to make sure I don't give up. It is divided into short videos of less than ten minutes each so it is easy to pick up and put down around my fatigue levels so hopefully I will make it through.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅16 -

The Leftovers! What a great novel and a magnificent series! I'm due a rewatch: this may happen fairly soon as the nights draw in.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Not much achieved yesterday. Finished hand sewing the advent calendar, with Mr V's help ate some frogs. Applied for a new passport, failed several times to renew my driving licence online and listed some copies of the Chatsworth lions for sale which sold very quickly, £50, Thank you. When we come back from our jaunt I have more stuff to list. The beautiful art nouveau door for a start. No point in keeping stuff for a fantasy house if we are staying put for a few years.
I am doing a viewing this afternoon on Mum's house with the previous interested lady. The viewer from Saturday liked the house but was looking at 14 houses in the area over the weekend. The issue is parking. You can get your car off the road at Mum's house but there are a lot of cars parked on the road in the evening and weekends. The estate was built in the early 50's. They never expected that every household would have at least a couple of cars. Not every house could put a drive in as there are lovely green spaces and footpaths, but no car access.
I am another who is easily distracted away from a task. Especially true with crafting. I have made myself a rule that I will use up the supplies that I have before buying something else.Of course there always needs to be a purchase to be able to use up what I already have, and there will always be some left over from that purchase etc, etc. It's like Triggers broom.
Crafting aside I have found that now we have much less stuff it is easier to do a job. Before, to do something ,something else had to be done first and it took ages or just wasn't done.It was just shuffling stuff around. Now everything has space with the exception of under the sink and the sheds. I really want to get to grips with the storage shed in particular. Lots of things in there that could be sold. I could do with you and Mr SD on the job Mrs SD. Excellent job of the office btw.
Wee Nancy, we are all behind you. We support anything that could give you an easier time. xxx

Hi all, yesterday was a nice day despite the almost constant torrential rain. We met the mother of the groom for lunch at a garden centre. We were confused as we couldn't see her camper van in the car park but it turned out she had come on the bus as her van was getting the brakes done. She thought she could take the cake home on the bus! That wasn't going to happen so obviously we gave her a lift home and had another coffee in her house then gave her a lift to the garage to collect her van but it wasn't done so took her back home
. On the way home we did a recce of the car parks near where the wedding is happening as we need to be in the registry office by 9.30 on Saturday, checked what change we will need for the meters etc in the nearest and how to get to the next nearest if that is full when we get there
I think we have it covered
. We also took a spare bottle of vodka for the after party which is happening at the parent's of the bride's house. They had originally booked a room somewhere but when they went to view it didn't like it at all, the bride to be burst into tears and the groom to be nearly had a panic attack as they just wanted to get married. Luckily the parents of the bride were with them and just suggested using their house. They are used to holding parties and swung into action
. The gazebo is already up and food and drink organised so it will be fine. The happy couple never wanted a big do, they just want to be married
. this
I also posted a get well card to the neighbour over the road who has finally been allowed to leave hospital and been moved to a nursing home but we don't know for how long as it is generally agreed that he probably can't cope at home now but his brother and sil are not confident he will accept this and we understand this is a temporary placement and is quite a distance from here. Also a birthday card posted, both from my stash. The kitchen bin was emptied and 100 emails deleted. Absolutely no chance of getting the washing dry so there are 2 loads on the maiden.
Today I am confined to the house. OH has a parcel being delivered that requires a signature, they tried to deliver yesterday but we were out so until it gets here I can't go out. I have a few things to do, a draw to sort as I can't find my driving licence, not in the usual safe place
and I need to deal with the speeding thing. I do have a note of my licence number so hopefully that will be enough
. I have already dealt with the post and sorted some stuff around a football ticket.
@Vulpix, total confusion. I will try to get in the loft today after the parcel has been delivered, can't risk being up there and missing it
@weenancyinAmerica I totally agree the toxic roommate has to go. Things are hard enough for you without having to deal with a free loader who is upsetting everyone. Owing you money is enough justification in my book, everyone has to pay their way and I am sure you have been more than generous with the time you have allowed to pay up. After all you are not exactly a rich benefactor who can afford to cover all the bills indefinitely. I am incensed on your behalf that someone could do this to you. Maybe once he has gone and the atmosphere improves it will be easier to get other things sorted. Big hugs
@Mrs SD, my birthday is on Sunday and as OH is working, lessons moved from Saturday as we will be at the wedding, I am going to a local national trust property who are having an apple day where I can learn all about the different varieties they have growing there, how to look after them and sample some pressed apple juice and apple crumble
Right better get into that draw
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Good afternoon chums this morning decluttered the root of a tooth at the dentists and they decluttered £145.00 from my bank account
It was one that when I’d had a crown there my old dentist said I won’t bother removing the root I’ll just file it down, which he did then stitched over it
My new dentist said it really needed removing as I was getting the odd twinge in it, so after four injections cut into my gum and dug it out
not pleasant but necessary and although I feel like I’ve been walloped in the face with a brick at least it will never trouble me again thank goodness.
so paracetamols and feet up this afternoon, soft food for a couple of days and job done 👍16 -
Hi all not sure how long since I last posted. Been very busy but feel like I'm not doing enough at same time...it's overwhelming tbh
Looks like we are moving in a month during half term.
Decluttered a bathroom etc into a skip and new one being fitted as we speak 😀

Hello all, another one not sure of the last time I posted here. I shall send hugs to everyone as I haven't read back through lots of pages.
Life has been rather hectic dealing with my Dad and our own health needs, so we took ourselves away for a few weeks break in our caravan as TBH I was at rock bottom worrying about everything and anything. We had glorious weather on holiday, apart from the odd rain shower during the night and I spent most of my time sitting outside and reading books, plus I am now sporting quite a suntan, thankfully I remembered to take my shorts ! The good weather lasted right up until the last 2 days before coming home when we got soaked hitching up, driving home and then putting the van back in storage yesterday, drowned rats come to mind. While we were away we found that a little mouse had decided to set up home in a bag in the front locker of the van so we emptied the locker and threw away several small items which we have been carrying around for many years, plus a small chewed peg bag. Now today I've found a chewed large plastic bag in my gardening shed, I don't think it's the same mouse though, unless he's come for his hols 😂
I tried to get some of the washing mountain washed and dried yesterday but the weather wasn't good and damp washing festooned the house. I resorted to put the heating on to warm the house last night as it's at least an overcoat colder here so that helped dry things too.
Today I have done another 2 loads in the wm and hung it out as there was no rain. It went overcast but it dried a bit and the heating will be back on tonight for a couple of hours until we become acclimatised again, neither of us likes the cold nowadays.
My decluttering today consists of the binned mouse chewed plastic bag and I've recycled an empty salad cream bottle and 5ltr screen wash container. The 5 books that I read on holiday will be decluttered to DD when I see her.
