Hello again, I'm useless at posting and can't remember the last time I did. I sorted out my mass amount of clothing I've accumulated through Vinted. I've got a black bag for charity and stuff to go back on Vinted, I've sold some items so posted them already. Now to go through the rest of my room!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. hello all
well well well, I hope you are all buckled in for the ride as my goodness - do I have an update for you all, re the old dirty neighbours.
So as it turns out...they were never the owners. All the guff they spouted to us and to neighbours about a quick sale, complete fabrication. We now have this information courtesy of who we assumed were the new neighbours.
In actual fact - our old neighbours from 7 years ago, before the hostile takeover bid, was a mother and her son. When the son sold the property he sold it to a friend of his who took over as the landlord and wanted another property for his portfolio.
In his hunt for suitable tenants he made the choice to let it to to a property management guy and his wife, who turned out to be the dirtiest neighbours in existence. As the landlord was away up north for work he had no idea of the situation until way too late, the old tenants were sent letters and they ignored them - and so he visited the area to discover the place in a right state - along with the fact that his tenants were also sub letting the outbuilding!!!!
And so that is why the property never appeared on any listings...it wasnt ever sold. They were evicted as they had multiple warnings to sort out the property. And of course the unwanted sub-let guy has also been evicted.
The new neighbour/the actual landlord for the property popped round to pay us a visit today and we had the NICEST chat on the doorstep, absolutely amazing guy, they are doing a full refurb before they re-let it in due course.
They have sorted out the front garden, the weeds are all gone, bushes to be trimmed in due course, all the rubbish put into bags and/or gone to the tip. They have had to clean the windows, wash the nets, re-do some of the electrics and pretty much scrub the kitchen top to bottom. The upstairs bathroom is being re-tiled over the weekend (he apologised for any banging we might hear) and they have turfed out the garage completely including all sorts of bugs and even a frog XD
They have also had to hack away at the bushes out back that sit atop the fence as they were half dead and some of the thicker branches were pressing against the guttering (which they know needs fixing and cleaning and they have that on their list). We've lost some of our privacy for a little bit while the bushes take time to grow back. We might even get some help from them with fixing our conservatory wall which had all the damp problems - but thats a convo for a little later down the line.
anyway not much going on with ours I think the landlord next door has the declutter bug but we will be decluttering a bag of random carp to the cs in the coming weeks.

Re sadmin, I have my paperwork either in a lever arch or uploaded to OneDrive. My younger son knows my phone passcode and access to Onedrive, emails & my bank accounts are on there. I have a particular location for storing passwords which he is aware of too, so he will be able to get into everything. He, his brother and one of my brothers also have LPA.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@mehefin , my condolences, remember to be kind to yourself, and note for all if everything is on the computer make sure someone has the password! We still don't know my dad's and found crossed out passwords for different things going back decades - he was an early adopted of IT!
@short_bird thank you I will have a read. Found an email DD1 got after the letter before action confirming they were taking it out of the legal process and undertaking investigations, next thing court letter which seems wrong (woman on the phone my daughter is sounded like a mistake), still not been send details and deadline in a week for defence submission. I''m quite good at tackling these things but awful for anyone to go through and they refuse to discuss or advise on policies etc. Hey ho.
@BlueJ94 love the colour and how clear. I cleared the same area, result somewhere between your before and after but my before was worse.
