Hi all, I'm up to 130, of a total of 366.
Trying to organise as well as declutter. The intention to move house is obviously a big motivation, and it's also nice to have extra motivation from being in this group.
I have this week off work (and DS is in nursery) so am taking the opportunity for some decluttering. Need to visit the TLC carriage too of course (have stocked it with banana bread I made with DS to use up some old bananas).
I hope everyone who has moved recently is settling in well, and good luck to those searching like we are.

Hello all
Havent posted for a while. Have been keeping up just not posting.
Major decluttering news in that we had our boiler replaced on Monday, took about half a day for them to sort it. It's over 15 years old and the insurance prices were a joke. The bloke came back yesterday to flush the internal pipes and deal with the radiators; thank God he told us so I could open all the windows at 6am before I left for work. Theres a couple that are awkward for DMum to reach so I just took care of it. Anyway DMum said it wasnt too bad, she went and sat in conservatory with bunny (in his hutch) for the couple hours the guy was here yesterday.
So now we have a new boiler and I have a load of paperwork to read through and a renewal quote to look into. I already cancelled the old policy for the old boiler.
Have just sorted the Mr T delivery and put that all away. Recycling is out, bathroom bin emptied, main rubbish bin will go out when I have changed Mac's hutch. Summer hutch needs to be re-stored (again!) as we used it for his jaunt into the conservatory yesterday.
Have to go and put back the contents of a kitchen cupboard now - all the pots and pans had to come out in case the boiler bloke needed to get into that section of the kitchen. So DMum has wiped the cupboard out and I have to ferry 3 boxes worth of stuff back into the kitchen. We already sorted through it last year when we had our kitchen done and our cabinets got a bit downsized, so there isnt anything to be decluttered.
After that and sorting the hutch I need to call the vet to make Mac's nail trim appt, sort out a pension credit application for Mum (need to send a letter as the details they appear to have are wrong) - and THEN I have to put away a mountain of washing and prep for my interview tomorrow.
lol tis never ending today!
ooh nearly forgot, did declutter 1 x old pillow.11 -
Well it's lunchtime now, but this morning I've already been to the post office, recycled the glass, recycled the plastics, been to the chemist, the zero waste shop and the supermarket for the weekly shop. I put everything away, hung up a load of washing and completely rearranged both freezers so I can now find things (and rediscovered a few things on the way). More to do later still... Weds is always manic chore day.Been keeping up with decluttering 10 things a day, which has surprised me. I still don't find it that difficult to find things, so clearly there is more to go, although with more emphasis on using things up now. Only new thing in is a big cardboard box that I will happily fill up with decluttering goodies for the charity shop.Digital:
3 - notes deleted
1 - app deleted
Physical:
2 - packaging reused
1 - tin not needed (charity bag)
20 - paperwork recycled
1 - broken belt binned
1 - socks recycled
3 - kitchen clips (charity box)
1 - glass jar (Buy Nothing)
1 - OOD medicine (chemist)New total = 14,859August In: 68, Out: 468Currently running at a loss of 6 out to 1 item in, although obviously I am counting out paperwork but I don't count it in as it's just too hard. So theoretically I should always be at a loss to keep the status quo and the paperwork will only increase once DS is back at school!Better run and get some lunch! Hope everyone has a productive day.2025 decluttering: 3,491🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Wednesday is quite bright with occasional sunshine. However the breeze is a bit chilly & the temperature is only set to reach a high of 22C. I think autumn is definitely on its way 😔 DH left about 10:00 - still not sure which museum he is visiting or who is accompanying the 6 year old 😉 I was up at 11:00 & am having my first cuppa. The wheelie bin had been emptied (on the correct day) & now has a new black bin bag.
Brie, shame about the unplanned declutter 😬 Hopefully you still have the receipt & will get a full refund 🙏 Just surprised that the security tag didn’t set all the alarms off when you originally bought it 🤔
Floss & Brie, sounds like Tesco make a habit of leaving the tags on 😞
Liverpool_Anne, sounds like a busy & enjoyable weekend 😊 I love that your friend’s granddaughter likes to use pen & paper to write a journal rather than committing her life to an electronic device 👏 Fingers crossed that you remain Covid free especially as you spent most of your time outdoors 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏
Lovely post vulpix 😊
Lovely supportive post daisy_1571 😊
GrannyKate, hope you had a good time on your short break 😊 The EDT is still moving along at quite a speed so not surprised you have 67 posts to read 😉
TC77, I am blushing ☺️
Will post this as I need to get ready to go out. I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 🙂

I have done precisely nothing all day apart from watch TV - 6 of the 8 episodes of Season 2 of House of the Dragon & they killed off my favourite character in episode 4 🙁

Wednesday continued: I left the house at 13:00 & headed off to Greenwich. Met up with vulpix, MrV & their daughter-in-law & grandson. I had a wonderful time - as the weather was so nice we sat outside a pub, had a drink & chatted for England 😊 A short meet up but hopefully we will do it again 🙏 Dinner was linguine in a creamy bacon & pea sauce. Wudupa.

Lovely to read of a Declutterati meet up 😁
I'm having a declutter of yarn & knitting needles. A colleague is expecting a surprise baby 4 years after her last one, and I was going to knit her a baby blanket with some neutral tones variegated yarn,. I cast on & did 2 rows on Sunday, but my elbows are so incredibly sore since then that I'm not going to continue. So if anyone would like a virtually full set of bamboo needles & a bag of variegated yarn, please PM me, otherwise they'll go to the cancer chazzer.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
