Thursday is very overcast & breezy with no sign of any sunshine 😔 Good news - the recycling wheelie bin has been emptied on the correct day 👏 that is two consecutive weeks 👏 I have watched the last 2 episodes of House of the Dragon & must admit to being confused about the alliances so will have to read up. I had an appointment with the nurse to discuss blood test results - blood sugar OK, renal function OK, cholesterol down but still a bit high. However, I definitely suffer from white coat syndrome when having my BP taken 😥 Exceedingly high reading but home readings were also slightly on the high side. I now have an appointment with the clinical pharmacist to discuss meds 😔 I didn’t quite make it, as I was hoping to remain med free until after my 65th birthday 🤷♀️ The nurse reiterated that I need to lose weight, exercise & keep working towards giving up smoking. Whilst I was out DH went out to get petrol & do a small shop. Dinner was lo linguine for DSis whilst DH & I had sliced pork (from freezer) with mash & baked beans. The one thing I did do today was to tidy up both freezers - I have created one empty shelf out of 8. Wudupa.

I have had a problems with pages loading on here so gave up yesterday and missed the photo - drat! Glad you had a lovely meet up Mrs SD and Vulpix.Flowerpot - that is fantastic news for your daughter! Congratulations 🥳 to her and well done to you for supporting her through such a difficult time and advocating for her needs. Many children don’t have a smooth passage through school and too often we are not told that everything can still work out well, even if the journey isn’t the standard one, or things take a little longer. My T shirt drawer has had another go through. I had divided it into two piles in there; good T shirts and generally worn out but not too bad. I have whittled the second pile down to five which will be plenty for a week’s worth of scruff use. Of the good ones two are going to the CS as the neckline is too low for me. Worn out tee shirts go into the rag bag and I use them for sewing practice or they get used as workshop rags or dusters. Now the drawer looks rather sparse, which is a weird experience for me as I am used to everything being packed in tightly. I also went through the shoe racks and disposed of a pair of boots that I shall never mend - I have been thinking that I might for five years. They could still be rescued before the bin men arrive but I intend to stand firm! Mr MV was persuaded to part with two pairs of trainers. One pair that he never wears because they have never fitted comfortably and the others are clapped out and haven’t been worn for years either. I have been dusting them and vacuuming around them for all those years though!12

Hi, We went to Chipping Norton yesterday morning as it's not far from where my son and DIL live. I bought some new with tags trainers from a charity shop to replace the ones I got rid of which were a bit small. On the way back a sizeable branch fell off a tree directly in front of the car. We dodged a bullet there, thanks to Mr V's quick reactions.
Mr V off to work for a gossip and then onto Nottingham for the night. I don't know what to do with myself. Cases unpacked last night. Washing I suppose. It's a bit wild to be outside today. I will have a look in my craft drawers for inspiration.
Stay safe Vx:13 -
Morning all - I have caught up on 70 or so posts. Not a good start today as low tyre pressure proved to be nail but back tyres were in need of replacement anyway.
992 Two tyres decluttered along with money to replace
993 DGD4's bed, mattress and bedside cabinet have gone to their new house (he has a spare bed to use here as he will be here a lot over the next few weeks until I move)
994 OOD food binned
995 Odds and ends binned
996 Removal firms booked to do quote next week.
Packed boxes and bags tally 7 + 1
My buyer came to visit for measuring and to ask a few questions. Looks like move will be mid to late October although my solicitor hasn't received a contract from my seller yet.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

I had the worst indigestion yesterday which is weird as I never normally suffer from it. I also managed to bang my wrist very hard on the kitchen counter last night when I was making a chickpea dip as the masher broke and my hand slipped. I have a massive bump and bruise, and it is right where I wear my Fitbit. Grr.
I did buy two new dresses and a skirt from a charity shop so I am going to go through my wardrobe again. I really need to sort out the airing cupboard before winter. It seems like stuff breeds in there behind my back!
I will go and do the wardrobe now and the airing cupboard tomorrow.

I thought I was just on maintenance but it appears not... I've lost almost a stone and almost a dress size so some things have been bagged for donation, along with some boots that I no longer wear.
I also took advantage of a very boring teams call to sort out the drawers in my pedestal drawers next to my spare room desk - another bag of stuff to go.
Then I sorted the storage boxes where I keep my craft stuff & rationalised enough to make an empty box, where I can keep my guest towels.
I've also slowly been acquiring a certain series of jigsaw so a pile of not-done ones have been bagged up too, along with various bits of unused random bric-a-brac.
I was going to tackle my garden, but have spent the morning tidying up, putting things away, damp-dusting & vaccing through so I think I will just sit & plan!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

congratulations to your little seedling, flowerpot, she's a wee star
Good luck on cutting down/out the fags Mrs sd, we are all rooting for you to declutter them
I'm still plodding along and can definitely feel a difference in the house, everything is just easier to tidy to clean around, to find. Dont get me wrong we still have way too much stuff. And some rooms are worse than others. I'm going to rewatch all the Swedish death cleaning programmes as I enjoyed them very much first time round plus I recorded a tiny home living programme the other day so been watching that. Think I may have seen some of the programmes already but ill watch the ones we somehow missed. Always good for inspiration.
Can't rem what other responses I wanted to make so hugs to everyone
