@~FlowerPot~ Congratulations to your DD and to you; what determination from you both. 🏆
@Moreviews I’ve been having lots of timeout problems with the site as well and having to keep refreshing the page. I wonder if the server or the main programme has been changed.
Ooh, @Vulpix, I bet that got the adrenalin flowing! 😱
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you for the prompt about health check. New patient check now booked in order to complete my registration at the surgery here.
Still no sight of an RSJ, guess it’s holiday time, but I have an item decluttered to report. One pair of slippers that had started splitting between the fabric and the sole. They didn’t really owe me much as they were a CS purchase around this time last year. They have been replaced with a pair of FlyFl0t clogs I bought last year but hadn’t got round to wearing because I didn’t want to ruin the colour by getting them dirty. 🤣
Apart from that it’s only the usual stuff – todays bin collection is cardboard, paper waste and 4 bags of garden waste where I’ve started clearing the back garden. I would normally use my compost bins but this is bramble, Spanish bluebell bulbs, cinquefoil, bindweed and other garden thugs that need to go rather than risk being redistributed around the garden in my compost.
Coming in was a packet of Pembrokeshire meadow seed mix as I’m hoping to make a small meadow area in the front garden – anything to reduce the mowing. 😁
Love to all. 💕

Friday: Up late so have mostly missed the lovely sunshine 😔(although we did have a little rain overnight so it feels fresher) DH sent his RBR photos to the organiser yesterday for a preliminary check & guess what, one of the photos is of the wrong landmark 🙁 He now needs to fit in another trip to get the correct landmark……… in Northumberland 😧 It will be an overnighter as he is no longer as young as he once was 😂. Good job he has another 6 weeks 😉 I am going straight into cheerleading now, so timer is on & away we go…..
Nice to see you SuperLooperSaver 👋 Great decluttering & well done on organising at the same time 👏 I hope that whilst you are off work, you are finding time to enjoy yourself in between decluttering sessions & house hunting🤞
Lovely to see you posting crazybunnylady4 👋 Sounds like the new boiler fitting went really well 🙂 Shame that you had to empty a kitchen cupboard but at least it meant that you could admire how efficiently you had decluttered last year 👏 I hope your interview went well yesterday 🤞
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 You were so busy on Wednesday morning that I am surprised you didn’t ”meet yourself coming back” 😉 I think that the reason you are still finding it fairly easy to find 10 things a day to oust from your home is not that there is too much stuff but that you are now so adept at spotting items that don’t belong that said items are not being allowed to linger 😉
short_bird, absolutely 😢 Now I am hoping that the ‘other one’ gets his comeuppance in the not too distance future or should that be past 😅
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 I was very pleased to see that the camp beds are already gone 👏 I am waiting with bated breath to hear that DD2 made a good job with sorting her study 🤞Don’t forget to update your numbers 🙂 The last number I have is 1145 on page 469 - hope that helps 😉
Floss, shame about the knitting 😔 That will teach me to stay up to date with the cheerleading 😉 - at least the needles & yarn are going to a good home 😊
vulpix, I am expecting lots of photos of completed projects 😉🙏 You have made me blush with your description ☺️ I hope grandson Vulpix enjoyed his 1st birthday party 🥳 & that DIL loved the ‘surprise quilt’ 😊
daisy_1571, it is a lovely pic 😉 now safely in an iPad album with the pictures of you & weenancy 🥹
2Scratters, definitely sounds ‘deliberate’ 😠 although having said that perhaps I should be kind & say that perhaps DB has got away with ‘it’ for so long that he doesn’t even realise how his lack of action impacts on others 🧐 Excellent work decluttering the laundry 👏 That is a new one on me - “ironed dry” 😅 Happy Birthday to your DH 🥳 🎂 - hope you found time to get him a card 🤞😉 I have the same trouble getting presents for my DH & my DSis 😮💨
Wednesday2000, sounds good 😌 My DH & I went in the pie & mash restaurant a few years ago, so might be time for another visit 🤔 Also rather nice to know that they make both vegan & vegetarian pies 👏
Brie, very pleased to hear that you were successful in returning the dress 🙂 I also think you hit the nail on the head with your comment “As Tesco no longer has changing rooms there's no alternative but to buy something and take it home and then return it if it doesn't fit. Frankly I think they do it on purpose as it limits returns as so many wouldn't bother”
Lovely to see you ~FlowerPot~ 👋 & thank you for sharing such marvellous news 🥳 Congratulations to your DD on her great GCSE results 👏 🤩 & like ionafan I am so pleased that her hard work has been rewarded. 😊
vulpix, enjoy the needles & yarn 😊 Remember if you need any ‘help’ I am available 😂
A perfect place to stop as I have caught up a couple of pages & the 24 minute timer has just gone off for the third time 😉 DH is currently making use of the sunshine - he has fed the worms & the compost bins, gathered the last of our potato crop which has been very disappointing this year 😔 He has also done a bit of strimming & is now happily using his hedge cutter on the back garden hedges 😉 I suppose that means I should get dressed but……………….. 😂

Broke a dish. Only 3 dishes left now, all from different sets.Tidied my clothes drawers. 2 jumpers to go. I don’t know why I buy them, I don’t suit a jumper.Tidied the craft drawers. 4 of the 6 now empty. I have found an advent calendar kit to do. Some Christmas bits to make into decorations for a craft club tree at the Christmas tree festival. Also Mr v’s 70’s Scout blanket which is covered with swapped badges from international camps. I am going to remove them all and sew them onto a throw.Well done on weight loss Floss.Exciting house move is racing ahead now Granny Kate.
Will you be travelling North with Mr SD , Mrs SD? DIL loved the quilt and the bunting.Another photo, less outing this one! Vx:14 -
Did a lot of kitchen sorting and cleaning yesterday at the new house. Also my dad helped my eldest son start removing furniture and carpets ready for some ceilings coming down as need insulation in flat roof. Today I mostly sorted paperwork and jobs at home and got my hair cut and went to my job centre appointment... Anxious about case managers decision tbh15

afternoon all,
well, the kitchen is back to normal - on Wednesday I ended up rearranging the cupboard with all the pots and pans and it all fits in a lot nicer. Took 1 small item out of there to pop in the garage - we have a box full of useful odds and ends out there that dont fit anywhere else.
However in doing so, I found the front cover of our old boiler out in the same box! I remembered that when the kitchen was redone, the door of the cupboard that the boiler sits in wouldnt close, due to the panel on the boiler itself. So the kitchen fitter removed it and we put it to one side - and then stored it "just in case". So....that has gone in the bin!
Thursday, interview day: not a great day. First, before I left the house to drive to the interview, I had a letter from the Met Police for going 35 in a 30 zone. (I've had to fill out a form which I sent back today). The speed camera that caught it is new and not a road I've driven much over the last 12 months, and I was unaware that it was there.
My interview was at 12:00 and so I left in the car at 11:15, got there about 11:45, thought security would direct me to staff parking but they just told me to go in main car park (so I had to pay for that on exit - £3.20 for 2 hours grr!). I got out of the car and went down following the not-very-clear-map I had been sent. Asked a staff member for advice on the way, she confirmed I was going the right way and needed to just go a little further and speak to the people in the office by the security gate.
However the guy in the security office said I was in the wrong place and sent me next door. Cue me waiting for 15 minutes, the reception area was empty, no one behind the desk or anything. So at 12:05, I get up, go down to the other office I had seen walking up, and speak to them. They call back up to who I assumed were the security people who then tell them theres a someone up there in the security office waiting for me!
So TLDR: Arrived 10 minutes early, was 15 minutes late cos of their mess up/lack of communication.
So therefore, it threw me right off my game. I was escorted up to the interview area, I did the interview (had to make my excuses as no one else made any attempt to explain what had happened), not my best work but ok, and I managed to complete the written tasks in the time specified. Hoping they made up for it as one of them was proof reading and I am a bit of a grammar n@zi at times lol.
Anyway end of interview they just directed me out, no escort. I was not signed in, or out, and I had no visitor pass. I actually felt really let down by the whole thing, start to finish.
Anyway, came home and ate my feelings via a gf pepperoni pizza which was lush
Today, Friday, sent aforementioned form off, along with pension credit thing for Mum, and 2 x parcel returns. Ordered new pillows for my bed as the ones I have are past their best and need replacing.
Made work lunches x 2 as I'm working both days this weekend, then tidied the kitchen and mopped the floor.
General tidy round and now am going to continue the job hunt this afternoon. Fingers crossed.
xx

Thanks guys for you kind comments. I started going through the boxes of study aids and notes. Made a pile of books to give away/sell and a pile to be recycled. Only to be told off by DD that she wanted some of the notes that I had recycled. I suggested she kept stuff she wanted in her room, rather than our hallway!!! grr! Any way at least that task has been started!!Also did a bit more weeding on the path, looks so nice where its been done, but so much more to do!Happy bank holiday weekend folks xx♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Just been the greenwich and docklands festival opening night at the Woolwich barracks, it can be hit and miss but very good tonight. For those near greenwich worth keeping an eye out and alot happening Mrs SD'S side of the water.
My DIY friend fixed the back of a book case dd2 is taking to her uni house , she's taking another I brought back from my dad's. Found stacks of craft things from when kids were young so Monday when we're having film and takeaway night with dd1 coming round thought we might reinvent sat morning craft time and use some.up.or decide what can go. Will offer dd2 to take some.for her uni house. Moved furniture so dd2 can paint the airing room/ her study next week . 4 electrical things from her in cs bag. 2 items sold and posted with lots of packaging. I cushion and cushion cover in cs bag but putting 4 more ready to take to cs tomorrow.

Friday: Yes, I did get dressed eventually 😅 DH finished the hedge & tidied up after himself & then strimmed the rest of the garden. He also filled the bird feeders. I sorted out some paperwork + had a chat with neighbour G who is taking his younger son up to Dundee & they will visit G’s mum & go to a football match. (The NHS complaint is almost ready to be sent.) I cooked fish & chips for DH & DSis whilst I finished off the salad stuff to avoid having to bin it. Wudupa

Saturday is a wet, miserable day - it has been raining on & off since 2.00 a.m.🙁 Oh well at least the plants are getting watered 😉
Moorviews, sorry to hear you missed the photo due to issues with MSE 🙁 I have also noticed that over the last couple of days I have been timed out several times 🙁 Excellent decluttering of your t-shirt drawer 👏 deserving of a medal 🏅 which is on its way 🙂 It is an odd feeling when you go from a jam-packed drawer to an airy spacious drawer where you can see everything easily & your clothes can ‘breathe’ 😅 Also well done on persuading Mr MV to ‘release’ a couple of items 😊 should make the vacuuming easier 😉 sorry (hangs head in shame 😳)
vulpix, phew 😮💨 well done to MrV & very pleased to hear that both you & he are OK although I imagine it gave you a bit of a fright at the time 😧 Hope the weather improved enough for you to hang out your washing 🤞
GrannyKate, well done on catching up with the posts 👏 Such a shame about the tyres 😔 as no doubt there was plenty of wear in them 😞 More excellent decluttering 👏 I had forgotten how long it seems to take to move house but at least you now have a tentative date & can plan your packing & decluttering 🙏 I am sending “hurry up vibes” to your seller & fingers crossed that your solicitor gets the contract early next week 🤞
Wednesday2000, sorry to hear about the indigestion 😔 I do hope you are OK now & that you are taking it easy with your wrist as it sounds very painful 🙏 Once you have sorted your wardrobe & airing cupboard I might have to put in a request for you to come round to mine & give me some tips 😂
Excellent work in the garden ~FlowerPot~ 👏 hopefully the weather will stay nice enough to continue over the next few days 🤞 Just wondering, if you did go to the cinema, what you went to see with your DD? Perhaps once the study books have been sorted your DD might help in the garden 🤔 or would that be a step too far 😂
Floss, congratulations on the additional weight loss 👏 & I trust that you are happy & are now definitely in ‘maintenance mode’ 🙂 Some excellent wardrobe decluttering although it does sound like you might need to have a shopping expedition to top up your clothing 😉 The decluttering of drawers, jigsaws, craft supplies & bric-a-brac is also excellent & has earned you a Gold Star ⭐️ I do hope you enjoyed your planning & also found time to pop into the TLC Carriage 😊
daisy_1571, thanks for the encouragement re giving up smoking 👏 Nothing wrong with plodding along with your decluttering especially as you are noticing the difference 😊👏 Remember Aesop’s Fable 😉 Now I just need to actually ‘start plodding’ instead of making excuses 😂 My inspiration comes from our Declutterati Family although I am a huge fan of Sort Your Life Out 😊 This sent me down a rabbit hole looking for if/when there is a new series 😂 I found a great website hellorayo.co.uk which gives info on applying for all sorts of TV programmes 😉 I would never be ‘brave’ enough to apply for anything on TV but there are others who might find something of interest 😉😉
That is one page caught up 🙂 The rain has finally stopped - at least for a little while but it is still dark so I can’t turn the light off 🙁 I have managed to menu plan for the next few days & have taken various bits out of the freezer. My plan is to finish my paperwork before coming back & catching up with the rest of the cheerleading 🤞 The laundry will have to wait - hopefully tomorrow there will be better weather 🤞
Enjoy the rest of your day, whatever you are doing 😊

Hi all, sorry not posted for a few days again. On Wednesday I was out for lunch with a couple of ex colleagues. As we are on covid watch I did a test before going, negative
. Passed on a couple of nail varnishes I have been harbouring until I saw a particular friend. As we sat chatting for ages I was home quite late but the kitchen recycling was emptied. On Thursday quite a bit of time was spent at the bank sorting money things, their system was not playing and the poor staff were running around different terminals to try to get people sorted while a tech guy was messing with stuff in the background. It was dry but blowing a hooley so 2 LDFPA and a quick trip to the sm was all I managed, along with a trip to the pharmacy to pick up more covid tests. OH is entitled to free tests being on some super vulnerable list but doesn't know how to order it and suggested I sort it out, this annoyed me slightly as I think it can be done on the nhs website but it will need OH's details not mine so I just bought some. On Friday the bathroom bin, lr bin and kitchen recycling were emptied again after a sweep round. More banking stuff but over the phone this time. Today OH has come in from work feeling unwell so I have done another covid test, still negative but not as confident as I was that we have dodged it. Meanwhile I have been busy in the garden again. 3 bags of garden waste into the bin which is now full. The old birdfeeder has been removed and is waiting to be taken to the tip and the new one installed so a big box from the conservatory into the recycling bin, 2 LDFPA, another big cardboard box from the conservatory emptied and put in the recycling and various things put in the bin so the kitchen bin emptied. I am now on my way to sort out the apples, will bake some and the rest will be turned into crumble for the freezer
Tomorrow is the first home football game so I am not expecting much to be done
@Vulpix, no chilli jam for me, unfortunately I am allergic to chilliI have sent you a pm
@~FlowerPot~ such good news, hopefully this will give your dd some confidence to move forward with her educational journey with less support from you
Congrats also to any other dds and dss that have done well in their GCSE exams. Considering the 40% fails in English and Maths nationally I imagine there will be a lot of results
Hugs to everyone who would like one
