10 things to get rid of yesterday and today, which looking around I thought was going to be really hard, but turned out to be very easy. Probably means there is more to go still. Nothing done in the kitchen today as it requires thinking time and more things to be used up; it's going to be a long reorganisation over months.I have to declare some pretty bath stuff I bought for the kids coming in. I feel slightly bad about it as I spent too much and actually we don't need anything yet, but I got drawn in by the limited stuff I thought the kids would be excited about. It won't be wasted and everything will be used up, but I will definitely only be buying things when I need them in future.Digital:

DSis and I have been decluttering, well, I’ve been lifting and shifting and she has been acting as Decluttering Consultant. We now have a tidy shed again! With a floor! That can be stood on!!! Oh the excitement!More bits sorted for the charity shop which we’ll take out when she’s feeling brave enough to head into town.I’ve also decluttered all the little cobwebs that have revealed themselves with the better weather. I did feel like Ripley in Aliens as is wielded the hand held hoover!DSis is currently up to 30 mins continuous walking which is what the NHS say she should be able to do after 6 weeks (we were walking miles before the op so that seems to have helped her recovery.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Oh and on our early morning perambulations we dropped off the dregs of candle wax to a lady who is co-ordinating collections of candle
wax. She’s then forwarding them
to a company who is turning donations into candles and then shipping them to Ukraine to help with light and heating.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

I have been putting this off as we have had Grandchildren staying for 2 weeks and had a party we provided cake and nibbles for. I kept all my reciepts but DH did a few little ones that I have added £40.00 on for as he cant remember. 🤷. I have totted it all up and I am pleasantly suprised that we are at £240.37. I thought we would be way over.
Just realised we also did a tesco order which brings total to £300.37 which means that We have already spent this montgs budget. We are on "Bread and iffits" for tge rest of the month as DHs gran used to say! 🤣craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

And.. I’m still waiting for the RSJ, I’ve finger’s crossed for tomorrow. 🤞 However, because I can see the end coming I’ve managed to start on some of the repairs I have to do. So that means more stuff in – paints, plants etc.. I can’t do much as I know there is going to be a lot of dust once the ceiling and the walls are attacked for the RSJ.
This weekend I’ve started on the 6ft long concrete exterior windowsill where water had got in and rusted the rebar resulting in it blowing the concrete off for the full length. Rust treated and I’m currently rebuilding the profile with masonry filler. Similarly there are outhouse windows that have rotted at the corners so those are being repaired and filled.
In the garden, my DS1 came over today and felled the trunk of the Torbay palm that was way too close to the house. That means that I can start clearing the area and put in the raised beds. I can then declutter some of the vegetation into the base of the said raised beds.
Once the front parking area is finished I will then move all the angle iron and other metal junk up onto it and hopefully the local scrap man will take it away. So decluttering is also within touching distance. 😁
In the meantime I’ve been crocheting hats and scarves and I think I’ve found a charity supporting rough sleepers in Swansea. Then I will be decluttering a lot of hats and scarves that I’ve made over the last few years.
Well done to all the declutteri, I find it very inspirational reading along and as always hugs and commiserations to all that need them. Good luck to all those moving; I’ve not commented on it as I found my move rather stressful and it did bring flashbacks. It was all worth it though.
Mrs SD, the cats are now indoor cats so no Welsh necessary, English and French only. 🤣

It's done. Quilt finished and bunting made. Everything put away too. Lots of stash used which is pleasing. I have also used up the last of MIL's hand wash hoard. Just the 6 giant bottles of body wash to use up now!

I went through my pantry yesterday as I ordered a new freezer (to keep the ice in for my ice pod) and so I had to move all the food and spices out of my pantry. I tried to put it all on the big shelf in the kitchen, but it didn't all fit so I want to go through the extra food in the next week or so. I have too many noodles and cereal that need using up. I am about to do a meal plan for the week.
I have started using my treadmill for about 15 minutes a day while listening to a podcast. I'm listening to one on Mad Fientist where he is talking to J Money. He was talking about minimalism and he mentioned a website called Zero Waste Home where a family of 4 only had a mason jar of rubbish for a whole year! I think I have heard of her before.
I had to order my thyroid meds, but my husband changed over my laptop to his spare one so I forgot my log-in so I had to call up the doctor's surgery this morning to reset it. I need to pick the meds up this week and also pick up our spare keys from the estate agent now we aren't moving house.
We have set up a "home cinema" upstairs as we bought a projector and I have been watching the show The Americans. I heard about it ages ago, but only just got around to watching it. It is very good.
I'm just off to hang up my laundry as I heard it just ended. I'm going to finish one of my library books today as I saw I have another one to pick up.

Sunday was another lovely sunny & warm day with a high of 24C☀️ Up late but managed to get 2 loads of washing dried outside 👏 Everything folded & ready to put away including 4 pairs of knickers that I mended + nightshirt that I mended & a pair of DH’s trousers that he put his foot through the bottom edge of one leg & tore a hole 😉 I turned up both legs 😉 I also added some elastic to my only truly summer skirt as the shirring elastic has stretched & the skirt kept falling down 😰 Watched 6 episodes of The Walking Dead including the the episode showing the death of two main characters 😭 DSis watered the garden. Dinner was a help yourself salad. Wudupa.
1363 - 1366 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, magazine, cardboard packaging - recycled
1367 - 1368 Kitchen detritus, broken peg - binned
Went to bed very late (06:00 Monday) & woke DH - he left 07:15 on a last day of RBR. I was woken by loud knocking at 10:30 so put on a dressing gown & came downstairs only to find that it wasn’t our door being knocked on 😔 It is a dry but overcast day with the temperature set to rise to 23C. I will drink my cuppa & do the cheerleading & will then get dressed & potter 😉
vulpix, good luck with completing the bias binding on the quilt 🍀
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 As to the pretty bath stuff for the kids, I think that you should class this as a reward for all 3 of you for doing so well with the decluttering 😊
florianatwobob, excellent work in the shed by both you & DSis 👏 I am awarding you each a medal 🏅 🏅 This “I’ve also decluttered all the little cobwebs that have revealed themselves with the better weather. I did feel like Ripley in Aliens as I wielded the hand held hoover!” Just as an aside, did you see that there is a new Alien franchise film in cinemas - Alien Romulus. Apparently it is set during the time that Ripley was floating in space 🤔 What a great idea re the candle wax 🥳 I wish the lady coordinating collection (as well as the company) great success 👏
Lovely to see you Soontobeoap 👋 Hopefully although you have decluttered your monthly budget in 2.5 weeks you have plenty in store to feed yourselves for the next 2 weeks 🤞
dND, everything crossed that the RSJ will be delivered today & the building work will be completed quickly & efficiently 🤞🙏 Excellent work with the DIY repairs 👏 I do hope that you are not doing too much & are finding time to visit the TLC Carriage 😉 It sounds like the cats have settled in nicely 🙂 How is your Welsh speaking coming along? Will you be tri-lingual 😉 P.S. don’t forget to count the crocheted hats & scarves when they leave the house 😊
vulpix, well done on finishing the quilt & making some bunting 👏 Sounds like you are working your way through your stash 😊
Wednesday2000, looking forward to hearing about your adventures with the ice pod 😉 Well done on emptying the pantry & using your treadmill 👏 Let us know when you sign up for your first half marathon 😉
Cwtches to all 🤗 & I hope that everyone is having some decent summer weather before autumn sets in 🤞

Mr V has had an appointment this morning. He is discharged from The Christie Hospital with no further treatment needed.
Before I forget, 2 of my tops and a brand new shirt of Mr V's to take to the chazzer when we go shopping in a bit. Mr V is a sucker for buying things off the internet which strangely are not what he expected when they turn up!
I have very few summer tops left in my wardrobe.Several are currently too small. However I could be ready for a fabulous cruise at the drop of a hat!
I have decided to leave the house for sale until the end of September. Then when it doesn't sell we can go on holiday. Yess.
