Hello 👋 quick hello before catching up. Had an amazing week in Tenerife, hotel was fab, busy but not rammed and managed to get sunbeds by the pool without crazy behaviour. We were in a quieter resort though which was lovely.
Did declutter a few books and magazines.
Off to catch up on all the news whilst on lunchbreak.

Thank you very much for the medals Mrs SD! They are proudly pinned!Yes I had seen that there was a new Aliens film, may have to go and see that with DSis once she can sit upon her sit-upon more comfortably for longer periods of time.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Just had a quick read through, apples look yummy. Flying visit to my dad's , did some gardening and 2 bags to CS and small things to me. Just had friend who does some diy for me and noticeable that I don't have a dining room table still. I made a joke about being minimalist soon and they roared with laughter
I resisted CSs at my dad's despite couple of trips to one where I lusted after a jug and sugar bowl, but when dropping off stuff the volunteer recognised me and remembered I'd travelled down from London and a customer heard and they grew up where I live (and coincidentally my dad grew up but not me) and had a very long chat about my grandad's shop, that she and my dad swam at the same pool and went to same primary school. Made me think these interactions are so much better than possessions. Whether this translates to me getting rid of lots more I am not so sure!
Item to be returned, item sold and packaged and some other packaging out and ood veg. Will drop off things and then add to my totals, but need to get a move on, have too many things for best and not accessible.
Have kept my jumper (s) that I was debating.
Will hopefully return in earnest in mid sept when dd2 returns to uni. Frogs being done, went with DD1 to expert about her ankle ( 3 years since car knocked her down) and changed his view from will improve to its as good as it will get which while disappointing means will be part of MIB assessment hopefully. Paperwork for this and other things taking up space. DD taking it all much better than I would. I certainly don;t want to leave DDs with all my stuff to sort out and trying to keep at the front of my mind.15 -
More stuff in bin, shredding pile started, stuff to go charity and stuff to try find a home for....lots of progress I hope this week 😁13

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I did potter a bit, got dressed & finally put away the laundry. Spent 30 minutes in back garden pruning hedges - a bit breezy. Watered indoor plants. Watched Vienna Blood. DH phoned a couple of times - not a great day for RBR as he got wet a couple of times & it was a bit chilly as well. Traffic was quite bad + lots of roadworks & diversions 😔 Finally got home at 20:45. DSis & I had already had dinner - pork steaks, mash, cabbage & green beans 😋 Although I had plated up a dinner from DH & I was keeping it warm in the warming drawer - I do love my warming drawer 😉 We had 2 spells of rain one at 20:00 & the other heavier spell at 21:00 - DH had got home just in time 😮💨 DSis & I watched the first Ghostbusters film - 40 years old & still the best one 🙂 Wudupa.

vulpix, great news about MrV 😊 Good decluttering 👏 New house or cruise 🤔 😉
Fizz2015, sounds like a perfect holiday 😊 especially as you didn’t have to fight for the sun beds 😂
florianatwobob, you are very welcome 😊 Having watched all the previous non-Ripley Alien films & not recognising any of the actors names in the new film (apart from Ian Holm) I think I will wait until it comes to the TV 😉
TC77, excellent work at your dad’s & well done on only taking a couple of bits 👏 Your friend could at least just have had a little titter rather than roaring with laughter 😉 How lovely to have such an interesting conversation & completely out of the blue 😊 Excellent work dealing with frogs 👏 Although sorry to hear that DD1’s ankle will not improve 😔
Excellent work Crazycatlady2 👏
Did anyone watch The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning - the lady with 8 adult children? I thought it was the best one so far 🙂
Cwtches to all 🤗 & sleep tight 😴

Supposed to be 35C here tomorrow. Almost that today. It has been hot. Spent the morning in PowerPoint class, took roommate home, tried to rest for about an hour but too hot. Then went to a doctor's appointment - he is sending me for an MRI on my lower back, plus several other procedures. Went to get a soda at a fast food place across from our Library so I could cool down before tackling the books in the library basement. The air conditioning doesn't go into that part of the building. Made it for two hours before the heat got to be too much and I went home. Was able to sort through a cart of books and get four more boxes ready to go to another library for their book sale. This way they can go help another library and are out of our way - but somehow or other, the library managed to sneak in twenty bags and boxes more of donations just since Saturday. That will be my project on Wednesday while waiting for roommate to finish her school class. Just need to unbag and unbox them and put them on carts so the others can help sort them. We started giving each board member a card with their name on it and they each claim a cart to sort. It worked very well this last book sale. Tomorrow only two doctor's appointments to worry about. My roommate Di's eye operation was moved to this Thursday and this is her "get-ready" appointment. The other is my appointment with the therapist for my back. I also need to do a load of laundry sometime in there. Roommates upstairs decluttered a lot over the weekend and over-filled the trash bin. At least they did some cleaning for a change. Some of the trash from downstairs has gone into the neighbor's bin with their permission, but we will have to wait to put some of the trash into the bin as soon as it is emptied tomorrow for next week. At least twelve bags altogether in the waste bins and 4 in the recycling bins. Doesn't seem to make a dent though. Spent part of my extra time tonight watching videos of train trips around the world, especially Nate and Kara's trips on over thirty trains including cross Canada and Northern US. They have also been on the major ones in India, Africa, the Orient Express. Looking forward to watching a video on the Royal Scotsman tomorrow.13

Morning Peeps,
We had a nice weekend in the west side of Lancashire and had some pleasant sunshine. This does drag you to want to go outside and wanting to make some headway. Our back garden is somewhat tidy (It is tidy but with stuff that needs moving to its proper place that's all) and I seem to be in a frozen state of being as not as progressive as I know I can/should be. I just can't seem to grab hold of a reasonable job and get it done. I really am just bimbleing about. I am looking for small bits or a single object to go. I keep spending on the damned t'internet and then worrying. I need to leave it alone at least for a month and see where I am at then.
I'm sorry this post seems quite negative today.
I think the toll of responsibility of being with parents 4/5 days a week and a comment said by by DB (says it was a joke - he ain't no comedian) has proper peed me off. I'm sure he is on the spectrum. My Dsis 2 is also as much annoyed as me. We think he is deliberately doing this so he can throw back the day that he does. We are all probably very tired but he's just had a week off too, on holiday 2nd the one this summer and I've had non with my DH. Enough of my woes, I feel better now thanks for listening.
Off down the garden to pick some blackberries for another day.
Just popped 2 more items in the waste bin before the lads collect it as there was some space.
Hugs for those who need one, me? I'm off to find some "healthy" cake in the TLC and a pot of tea

Added a nightie to the charity bag. I had forgotten I owned it. I can't remember ever wearing it or where it came from.
My email in box is now zero. I don't give my email out so not difficult.
Floss, I am looking at cruises as we speak!
I forgot to say, I am sure I saw Patrick Grant from sewing bee at Southport show the other day.
We are off on our travels shortly. Back Thursday evening. taraa

@2Scratters can you & your sis devise a really important but dull job that you both can't face for your brother, that he can claim lots of credit for? It would be worth the ego massaging afterwards if it gets something thankless done for you two 😉2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
