@Liverpool_Anne , I passed the 10.cassettes on to someone, many more at my dad's (.someone took all their videos for.their mum who records programmes still! I do have a 1970s.music centre with a cassette player which I'll keep and a few tapes but others can go..have a radio cassette player somewhere!
At a friend's recently and was abit overwhelmed by what they have and a friend moved who is a ' collector' and apparently was v difficult.
Take care everyone and reading along , agree with someone how only seems recent ds moved in with @GrannyKate but then I've received another year badge and shocked how long.my decluttering journey has been to date:)11 -

Sunday has been a lovely day 😊 Got up at 10:15 to sunshine & the promise of a dry day with a maximum temperature of 24C. I watched the Men’s Individual Archery - several very exciting matches 🤩 Then at 11:50 we all got in the car (DH driving) & headed to Kent for a 65th Birthday BBQ for the husband (C) of DH’s niece (S). A fairly good trip & we arrived on time @ 13:00. Only a small gathering - C, S & her Mum W, Dad T, DD Sh, son in law D, DGS R & the 3 of us - 9 adults & a 6 year old. Lovely chatty family gathering, good food, plenty to drink & Birthday Boy was happy with a small gathering. Sadly R was a bit bored & got a bit fractious as he had no-one to play with (his cousins were having a separate BBQ with their parents & grandparents) 😔 A great afternoon for the adults though 😉 We left at 18:45 & eventually got home 20:05 (the last few miles took 39 minutes due to heavy traffic) We had a light supper - either a sandwich or toast & pate. DH watched the MotoGP races whilst DSis & I watched the morning session of athletics & are now watching TWD.
GrannyKate, rather relieved to see that I am not the only one who likes pen & paper accounting 😉 Shame about having to pull out of the house purchase but sounds like an eminently sensible decision 😮💨 Hopefully you will be more successful with the next house 🙏 You will miss DS but hopefully he won’t be too far away 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏
Florenceem, lovely to see you posting 🥹 Well done on raising so much for the SA 👏 & good luck with future sales 🍀
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Sorry to hear that DD2 is not being helpful but hopefully she will get bored & start lending a hand with the decluttering 🤞
Lovely chatty post vulpix 😊 How exciting that you might have a new option for your next project 🤩 Although I think you might miss having a decent sized garden 🤔 Good luck with the quilt 🍀 Hope the charity event went well & that lots of money was raised for such a great cause 🙏
Florenceem, so pleased that you have been getting suitable items to list on Vinte* & are being so successful 👏 How awful that some people think it is ‘OK’ to donate their rubbish 🤢 Hopefully they are are few & far between 🤞Great news that MrF has started to put on a little weight 👏 Long may it continue 🙏
Well, I have caught up a little so will post & try harder tomorrow 😉 Cwtches to all 🤗 Sleep tight 😴

I've been AWOL for a while as when we finished kitchen in April/may I ran out of steam
Unfortunately I need to kick myself a bit as unfortunately over the weekend we lost my Fil unexpectedly and there is a hell of a lot to do. We are just grateful he fell asleep watching TV and went peacefully it seems.
Emotionally our world has been turned upside down but practically we have lots to do so need all the motivation and encouragement you can all offer
I will try to catch up last few pages but I'm sure you can all understand there is alot to catch up on so will send hugs and well dones for you to take as required18 -

Nice to see you back Crazy cat lady,I am sorry to hear your news.A great shock for you. Do keep posting, everyone here is so generous with their support, in all ways, not just decluttering.
Thank you everyone for your understanding about my shed anxiety. I know it will be alright on the night but you know how it is. I am feeling much happier about it, even better Mr V is going to tackle the studio today. The last dry day forecast for a while. It is difficult for Mr V to get rid of stuff and I really appreciate that he is actually decluttering for me. Left to his own devices he would choose to keep everything, useful, broken or not. So much has gone over the years. It used to be a double garage filled to the ceiling, now it's just 3 sheds. I would be overjoyed to get it down to 2 sheds.
It does a body good Mrs SD to meet up with family and have a lovely time.
OH, I forgot to say Florenceem, I am pleased to hear Mr F has put some weight on, that's great news.
The agenda for me today is visiting the giant plant at my Mother's house then visiting my Mother. I will also make an appointment to view a house in Buxton. I have lived in Buxton before. My Dad always used to say, it's a top coat colder in Buxton. He wasn't wrong.

Sorry to hear about your loss.
I've just realised I also bought a baseball cap while away so 1 in, but had to throw a t-shirt away as I caught it and ripped it.
It's looking as though I may need to bin another t-shirt and 1 pair of shorts as I'd dropped something greasy on them. I'm going to see how they wash this time before I decide.
I'm not keen on the cheap washing liquid I bought in Morrisons, it just didn't quite work as well.
The cheap powder is better, but leaves marks on my clothes, so will use it for bedding and towels.
Edit to add that as of this post I'm 3 loads of washing done, 1 will shortly be put on the line, but another is going to be it on the line to finish drying.Decluttering campaign 2023

Hi all - sorry for your loss @Crazycatlady2 .
Waiting for things to progress with new bungalow - will keep you all posted. Tales of Harry Potter and tourists - I was never keen on books or films but late DH and GCs were. We took DGD4 to Alnwick and she enjoyed the HP things. I go to York quite often as not that far (totally recommend park and ride rather than taking car into centre) and there are a lot of HP things. When DD and I were in Edinburgh a few years ago we went to Greyfriars Kirkyard to look for a grave. It was full of tourists (dressed for the part) looking for HP graves as I understand JKR took some character names from the gravestones in the historical churchyard. I managed to pick up a local character (I'm good at that) who was helping them find the names. He was delighted to discover we were actually looking for the remains of a real grave for my 4 x great grandfather, a professor at Edinburgh University, who was buried there in 1805. We managed to find the remains of a gravestone on wall although no longer legible.
First frog of the day done but more to follow. I tried to start a 'box' for pictures to go in. First one I took off wall with those 're-pealable' strips took chunks of paint off with it. I have stuff to go to CS shop but determined to do some more frogs first. Right shower and get dressed (its nearly 10.30 oops)

Monday is another bright sunny day with the temperature set to rise to 25C. Team GB won another medal - a Bronze in the Mixed Team Triathlon 👏 A bit disappointing as we had been in the lead for a good portion of the race & lost the silver on a photo finish 😔
Floss, ouch to both the expense & the worry 😣 even so long ago 😔
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 & well done on honing & fine tuning your decluttering strategy 😊
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Well done on not sending cassettes to landfill 🥳
What a busy Saturday crazybunnylady4 🤩 Excellent work 👏 What brilliant news about the ‘horrible dirty’ neighbours 🥳 Hopefully as I have taken so long to reply they are now gone & the new neighbours (when you get them) will be a pleasant change 🙏 I still cannot get my head around people thinking it is OK to donate rubbish 🤢
Florenceem, say what 😱
crazybunnylady4, a bag of ‘ladies pleasure items’ must have been a bit of a shock 😳 not too sure I would have known what they were 🤣
ilovetea eek 😧 You would have thought church members would know better ☹️ Excellent decluttering 👏
Good work oceanspirit 👏 Fingers crossed that you have completed your paperwork decluttering 🤞
crazybunnylady4, sounds like great entertainment watching the neighbours move out 😊 Hopefully you managed a celebratory drink 😅 or are you saving that for when they are completely gone 😉
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 especially dealing with frogs 😊 Fingers crossed for your meeting with the seller of the house you have your eyes on 🤞
First cuppa finished so will post this & make a 2nd cuppa.
