@Florenceem good to see you and hope they get to the bottom of what is causing Mr F difficulties. So impressed by you raising so much for charity in a short time.
Spent time taking photos and posting items for sale yesterday but decided taking to cs today, so large serving bowl and 6 smaller bowls and large vase in cs bag, 2 bras worn once and not for me also out. Frustrated by dd2 doing nothing snf now moved into spare room as her bedroom too hot, so I can't go in and clear up, but decided I just have to focus on my stuff. Also some paper declutter out so 1130.
Also sent off big frog, shouldn't have been big but dd1 took ages getting info to me and then I procrastinated!
Also sorted some kitchen things so some.cake related things and packing out so 1134.16 -
Also cut up.large table protector from old table and kept bit that is OK and rest out 1135.15

Hi,
I was going to suggest the same as Floss, Liverpool Anne. Mr V was recently given an art work of imaginary planets by a fan.( for want of a better word} It is very impressive and a very touching gift and looks lovely in the studio.Does your OH have an office ?
Nice to see you Florenceem. Enjoy the wedding today, they couldn't have nicer weather. It is cooler here today, and seems to have rained in the night.
Granny Kate, good advice, you have done the right thing. I have said before we unknowingly bought a big tree problem with a house that cost a lot to fix. Roots from a giant Leylandii hedge had grown through and blocked a culverted natural spring in the garden which caused the street to flood after heavy rain. Of course the old well and culvert were not on any maps. It seems 2 minutes since your son came to live with you. Time flies!
I am begining to think my Mothers house could be an option for us to buy. 3 bed detached, small garden which would be smaller if parking spaces were made. Cat friendly as there is a field at the back which adjoins a reservoir. We could live here whilst work is done. Sounding more attractive as I speak!
Gone,
Socks with holes
big bag of blister packs
I was visited in the garden yesterday by a huuuuuge dragon fly. I'm pleased to say I have seen several butterflies since we have had some warmer weather.
The optician made me some frankenglasses. Only for reading so no problem.
I sanded the door frame, added a little more filler. It will need sanding again once dry. Hope to get it all done and painted before Tuesday and the next house viewing.
Distracted myself from the quilt by doing masses of hand sewing by altering and shortening two tops. All my clothes have been tried on and should be good to go. I have 2 weeks to eat the quilt frog. A couple of hours would probably do it. Just not feeling it. I prefer hand sewing. I work better at anything under pressure, I will probably be finishing it the night before it's needed.
Off to Leeds shortly to a charity event which supports emergency responders with PTSD. Favourite step son is a paramedic, SD1 is a technician.:15 -
TC77 - I have been blessed with lovely donations that I could list on Vinte. I do sort through lots of stuff to find the saleable items - yesterday 118 sacks of textile recycling was collected by a SA van to go to a sorting centre - I had sorted the majority of the 118 - this is 2 week's worth.
Yesterday someone brought in 3 black sacks full of donations - I sorted it to find rubbish garments, a bag of panti liners and a used can of deodorant. Sometimes we feel like people use us as a convenient way to get rid of their unwanted stuff - they can park outside and saves a run to the tip.
We had the main SA hall carpet cleaned this week - cost £440 - this has to be done every 3 months - the carpet cleaners showed me the dirty water as they poured it away - it was so yuk - colour of mud.
Mr F has gone out to take a pair of curtains and a lamp to the charity shop. He is also posting a parcel for me.
I weighed Mr F for the first time yesterday - he has put on 4 lbs which is so good as it shows he is not losing weight still.
Off to take photos of more items to list on Vinte.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Had a quick session this morning with more kids stuff, including a few things I had set aside for the unspecified future. Since I've been curating gift lists for both kids as I think of things (then closer to Xmas/birthdays I can select carefully the best ones and also give ideas to relatives), it just made me realise I'm never going to use lots of this stuff in reserve as I'd rather get them much less stuff, but things that are really specific to their interests and likes. Generally there is little overlap between their likes/interests and stuff that I have, with a few exceptions.Better go and do more loads of post holiday washing and get the kids outside in the sunshine.Physical:

3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday is another gloriously sunny day but with a cooling breeze & only set to reach a high of 25C 🙂 More good results - another Gold & 2 more Bronze medals 🥳 DH is watching MotoGP GP qualifying. I am settling down with my 2nd cuppa & will attempt to catch up with the cheerleading 🤞
weenancy, 40C is extremely hot 🥵 I do hope that your sister is safe & that rather than thunderstorms there is just heavy rain for the next few days 🙏 Great work continuing with your kitchen decluttering & tidying 👏 I do hope that your roommates surprised you & helped with cleaning & sorting out the fridge 🤞 Also sending good wishes to Di that the cataract surgery goes well & that she quickly learns to put in her own eye drops 🙂 Please stay safe 🙏
TC77, sorry to hear that work is so busy that it is leaving you no time other than to eat, drink & sleep 😔 As to your current indecision about decluttering crockery & clothing perhaps it might be easier to ignore these two categories & tackle something else 🤔 Once you have had some success you can return to them a stronger & more confident decision maker 😊 I know you can do it, now you need to remember that you CAN do it ☺️
Floss, some great suggestions for TC77 👏
Excellent decluttering Siebrie 👏 I hope DD2 helped you with sorting out her clothing 🤞Great work in the garden & I am very pleased to hear that you are taking care of yourself 😊 A medal🏅 is on its way 🙂
~FlowerPot~, lovely to see you 👋 and sounding so positive 🥳 Some excellent decluttering & so much ‘stuff’ decluttered from your house 👏 I am very impressed, so one Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 🙂 Good luck with the sales 🍀 Love the paintings - so much life & colour 😻 I am sure you will find plenty of buyers 😊
TC77, I just knew you would get your decluttering mojo back 🥳 Good work 👏
What a lovely start to the new month oceanspirit - friends, food & music 😊
Lovely post ruby_eskimo 😊 Thank you for satisfying my curiosity 👏 Fingers crossed you get to see team GB in the hockey 🤞 From what I have seen on the TV the atmosphere in the Athletics Stadium will be stupendous - noisy, colourful & adrenaline fuelled & that is just the spectators 😅 Good luck with finding your “holiday” clothes 🍀 I hope you don’t have to go through all 10 boxes 🤞
Brie, just think how much you could sell a masterpiece with a ‘disaster’ on the reverse 😉 Surely the purchaser would love the progression in your artistic style 🙂
~FlowerPot~, what a useful App - showing your art work to best effect 🤩 Great work with the nettles 👏 & good luck digging out the roots 🍀
Concentration is waning due to the heat 😔 So I will post this & have another drink. Hopefully I will see you later 🤞 Please can everyone stay hydrated 🙏

Well some major decluttering here because it turns out the horrible dirty neighbours are MOVING OUT 😁😁😁😁😁😁 Looks like they have started to decamp from the place already - won't properly celebrate until the car(s) they own are gone but what a lovely surprise!
Otherwise - have totally blitzed the house today (this was before the news of the move, I didn't do it as a celebration!) 🤣- Stripped my bed, left to air and then remade.
- WM x 2, 1 load hung on airer 2nd load just finished so will sort that in a bit.
- Cleaned Mac, both his summer hutch (which is in another cooler part of the house) and his main hutch, inc. underneath and behind. Spare litter tray in garage, summer hutch stored until we need to pull it out again.
- Hoovered and swiffered living room floor
- Hoovered and swiffered conservatory floor
- Wiped and tidied kitchen counter. Dw x 1, and unloaded. Reorganized a cupboard - recycled plastic holders taking up space. Hoovered and swiffered kitchen floor.
- Hoovered and swiffered bathroom floor. Mum is cleaning bathroom on Tuesday after handyman has been.
- Packaged up laptop for fleabay sale and sent when I went out. Bought a few needed things while I was out, including a cheeky lunch in Mr Greg's.
- Recycling and rubbish in outside bin
- Tidied and hoovered upstairs.
Think that's enough for today lol. Just the ironing to tackle and a pile of paperwork to go through but that can sit for now.11 -

Also the advice was never to stick your hand into a donation bag/box, tip it out onto the floor - just in case of needles or other sharp objects. The things you learn........12
