Hi all,
@GrannyKate good luck with the new house viewing.
@Vulpix we do have an office, currently full of carp but that was my office when I was working, OH uses the car. Good luck with the quilt. A friend of mine had her loft converted to give her the floor space she needed to do her quilting, a bit drastic but her DH was a joiner and did all the work and it was her main hobby. I can feel your stress about the sheds, try to relax you know it will be sorted
. If you do end up buying your Mum's house will you be able to move things over in stages before the completion date?
@TC77 well done on saving the cassettes from landfill. Do you have something to play them on?
@crazybunnylady4 glad the horrible neighbours are going
Re York I have been several times but the last time we went I was a bit disappointed that so many of the shops had switched to selling Harry P carp. Understandable I suppose as there are so many fans but there used to be lots of independent shops selling unusual and interesting things. Jorvick is quite amazing and I loved it.
Yesterday was quite a good day. I did get 4 more bags of garden waste to the tip before going out for tea. I also did a session of self care after my shower and finally managed to uu a tube of hand cream that has been lurking around for a while. I have a bit of a stash of this as OH's sister bought me several for Christmas 2 years running. The meal last night was lovely as we haven't been out with this friend since before Christmas as she has been quite ill, at one point she fainted due to a neglected by the doctor infection and ended up in hospital having dislocated her replacement hip. She has finally got a bit militant and has demanded to see a specialist in her condition, she has an appointment now but I have to say I think her gp has been atrocious bordering on negligent. We hope things will get better for her soon as last night was the first time she has been out since before Christmas.
Today I have had a bit of a lie in as when I woke up it was quite unnecessarily raining and as I was tired I made a cuppa and went back to bed. It has stopped raining now so I will head out to the garden but I have to pop out for milk, OH did some shopping yesterday and came home with 6 lavender plants (?) but no milk
.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

I liked York the last two times I have been there. 2021 and 2022. I was watching a YT video today and the guy was in Durham and I thought that looked similar to York. He was saying that Harry Potter was filmed there.
My ice pod arrived early! I am going to fill it up later and use it for the first time tomorrow morning.8 -

I made a list of all the interesting independent shops and then we did a walk around visiting only thoseThere were so many lovely things - I was quite restrained! I've just got DS into Harry Potter, so we did do the Harry Potter shop as well.
A quick check in as I need to go and cut up veg and pots for dinner. DS decided to get rid of another Lego set and then we blitzed his winter wardrobe as well. As I have a standing list of exactly what DD and DS actually need in their wardrobe, I can compare the end result to the list and therefore never buy too much. Luckily I have a very short list of requirements for the winter. Can't face doing DD's one yet. Tons of people lined up to pick up stuff from Buy Nothing; fingers crossed they all come in the next couple of days.Digital:

Thank you Liverpool Anne. I am getting ahead of myself. We could keep stuff at my Mum’s if needed. We could also move there if needed also. I wouldn’t like to actually live there permanently as I would like a little more garden. I don’t think I enjoy quilting enough to make a room for it. Respect to your friend. The storage shed is breathing easier. A car full of stuff taken to the tip. A load of wood taken to the man shed. A massive flight case given away. Loadsa stuff listed on thrift. Some already collected, the rest has been claimed . Tomorrow the studio will be checked over. I am feeling so much calmer about it all. If we could move and fit everything in the big bike sheds I would be happy. It really was making me anxious.Decluttered all our over ripe fruit into a crumble for Mr V.Vx:15

Loved York but Harry Potter had just come out when I was going there. On one trip, JK Rowling was having a book signing - and the line stretched for at least 4 blocks. My parents loved York also - managed to get them there on one my research trips. I have a needlepoint kit of the Shambles which I still need to finish. I am taking a class on knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and cross stitch starting in two weeks. Maybe it will help me get it done. My favorite places are the York Castle Museum and the Public Library (wonderful family history section there).
@vulpix - I made a queen sized patchwork quilt for my sister for her wedding present. At the time I was living in an apartment and had to spread it out on the floor whenever the roommate I had then left home to visit family. Finished the last bit (an embroidered square saying when it was made and by whom for what occasion) on the morning of the wedding. Had to roll it up in between. It was on my sister's bed for 40 years - but needs some repairs where it folded over the edge of the bed now. Good luck with your quilt.
Cats are still forcing a lot of the decluttering here. Cleaning up papers, magazines, and books, and all the stuff they are knocking over chasing each other. Realizing we can get rid of a lot of it as we pick up - and out it goes. Needing to find room for their stuff? And more is cleared out. We are getting there. Maybe by December people can come and visit!

Thank you to those that wished us well re: the neighbours moving out. It is quite the result and very sudden! Hasnt been a lot of movement today but fingers crossed there is more excitement to come! 😀
Deffo think they are gonna dodge doing any repairs or maintenance by leaving it empty then they can just say it's been empty for ages before they got round to listing it. As usual , leaving someone else to sort out and clean up after them 🙄🙄
Anyway!
Mount Everest ironing pile has been conquered, just need to find space in the wardrobe for it all again 🤣
Was super organised this morning and sorted thru the fridge; made work lunch for next 2 days out of what we had in. (Have a work meeting tomorrow night annoyingly, and won't be bothered when I get in!)
Also found a packet of suet (ood) at the back of the top shelf, that has been binned. 2 x large tomatoes and a quarter of cucumber in produce draw binned as gone soft 🤢
In order to declutter the fridge further, meal planned around what we have in - so tonight was chicken and frozen chips with leftover steamed veg for me and a small salad for mum.
Tomorrow night will be pasta and more steamed veg for me and DMum said she'll just have something light when she's done with the garden in the afternoon.
Watching some of the Games (playing catchup) with a glass of wine. 🥰 there's an open bottle in the fridge so that needs decluttering too 🤣🤣🤣9 -

Got an earful from OH about the mess in the front room. Bite my tongue but most of it is his. I just said "well, clear up your bits and I'll sort the rest." So if it's left I guess I get to bin it!! Of course there'll then be those wails of "what's happened to my XXXXX!!!"
Apparently all the napkins that are in there that need to be ironed are mine. Not his. Ummmm. Supposedly he never needs a napkin????
