@Florenceem - my cs managers horror story from years back was a carrier bag that contained various....um...how to say this...ladies pleasure items?
I dont think i had any particular horror stories but my assistant manager was a hardcore vegan and unfortunately she happened to sort through a bag of clothes that included a real fur coat. She dropped it like it was a hot brick. To be fair we were all disgusted by it and we actually priced it up cheap to get rid of it (we stuck it near the till area and it sold same day).

After a slow start today, managed some light housework and cleared out more papers. Surely I am on the home straight with the papers now - it’s been years!
Unsubscribed from some emails and some admin done too.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅12 -
have spent much of my evening peering out of the window watching our neighbours move out!
However I did sort through my paperwork whilst watching the show (lol) - did a little shredding, some papers still to file and/or pop in the scrapbook. ironing pile has been organized, maybe I will tackle that tomorrow along with the everyday stuff.
have decided to leave Mr T delivery till Wednesday, we still have plenty in including stuff for my work lunches on Monday and Tuesday.although we have used a fair few things up.

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I have spent the afternoon & evening watching the swimming & athletics & am especially enjoying coverage of the field events 🙂
Excellent decluttering & tidying vulpix especially the airing cupboard👏 Hopefully MrV’s trip to the opticians results in success 🤞 Although I am curious to know how your spectacles keep escaping & putting themselves in a position to be stood on 🤔 Fingers crossed that you got the quilt pinned 🤞
Lovely chatty post Liverpool_Anne 😊 Excellent decluttering especially all the work in your garden 👏
Pennypincin, no need to apologise for being AWOL 😉 just pleased to see you back 🙂 It sounds like the conference went well & well done on rescuing the sweet containers 👏 No doubt the blanket will come in useful later in the year 😉
So lovely to see you Florenceem 👋 Hope you enjoyed your time in Greenwich, if I had known I would have waved to you 😉 Congratulations to SA for their winning float 🥳 Sorry to hear that there is still no diagnosis for MrF 😔 Hopefully once MrF has had his next scan, the doctors will have a better idea of what is hoing on & can start suitable treatment to get MrF back to health 🙏
crazybunnylady4, sorry to hear that you are really not enjoying the heat 😔 However 95% humidity really doesn’t bear thinking about 😱 As to your decluttering don’t forget to include both the old laptop & the kindle 😉 Good luck dealing with your Mount Everest of ironing 🍀
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏 Congratulations on selling so many items 🥳
Caught up a little more but have just noticed the time so need to sort dinner 🙊 Fortunately we are having salad 😉 We each sorted our own dinners 👏 I will do the wudupa after DSis & I have watched The 1% Club 😉 Whilst watching the Olympics I finished knitting another scarf & started on a baby blanket.
1260 - 1264 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 2 newspapers, cardboard box - recycled
1265 - 1266 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
QueenJess, so pleased to hear that you had a lovely holiday in York 😊 even if it was exhausting 😉 Great work with the unpacking & dealing with holiday laundry so quickly 👏 I was also gratified to hear that you have noticed a huge difference from previous years - a confirmation of how much ‘stuff’ you have already decluttered 🥳
Liverpool_Anne, great decluttering especially from the garden 👏 Really enjoyed the fact that St Lucia & Dominica won their first ever Olympic medals & they were both Gold 🥳 I now have a new list to play with - countries that have never won an Olympic medal (found the list on the internet but it hadn’t been updated to show 2020 Olympics) 😅 So from 65 countries now only 58 are without a medal 😉
Just noticed the time so am off to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Hi chums,
crazy bunny, result. That must feel great to declutter the bad neighbours. Will you have a street party?
Fingers crossed for you with the house GrannyKate.
York is so lovely Queen Jess. I still remember going to the Jorvik centre on a family holiday, a long ,long time ago.
Mrs SD, after a lifetime of working with children, I sit on the floor for an unnatural amount of time for a lady of my years, stand up, stand on reading glasses where ever I have put them down! This blessed quilt will finish me off! I moved the car and lay everything out on the tarmac to pin and cut the wadding and back to the front. So far so good. Cut everything, took it inside and of course it wasn't quite right.I invented a new Olympic endurance sport for Mr V where you have to stand holding a quilt out above your head whilst it is smoothed and pinned. Still not right so I have rolled the layers and am tacking every few inches. Every time I make a quilt I say never again. Absolutely dreading finishing the quilt of my Mothers, it's even bigger than this one. I remember us moving my dining table in the 90's to spread it out and cut the backing fabric. She has started quilting and somehow it has twisted. No wonder it is a ufo and she has given it to me. I could just give it DD1 and be done with it
Speaking of DD1, she sent a pic last night of her on a jet ski or a Shet ski. I love a play on words. She lives in the Shetland Islands btw.
I have caught up with my sleep, a sleep avoiding night Friday.
We had a long chat driving to Leeds yesterday about being ready to move. The house is ready, the sheds not so much. We have a giant shed that can be seen from space, that is split in two. Each side is insulated and has it's own door. One side is storage of PA equipment, the other a recording studio. Despite Mr V tidying them regularly he just isn't very good at it and they are always a mess.
He has got rid of so much and acquired more storage but the contents never look tidy Not helped by having to have things in there like a giant oak door, big step ladders etc, etc.
We are going to empty the storage shed completely and only put back what is needed on the journey. (Thank you Paddington)
This is prompted by discussing a couple of house move possibilities that don't have room for a shed village. Also, Mr V has 2 more bookings this year where he will need large PA equipment then he says he is retiring from gigging. Studio equipment gets smaller and smaller so that isn't an issue. In fact a mobile phone can do the lions share of what a recording studio does.
He is in there right now. He is making 3 piles outside. Tip, thrift and keep. I will get out there in a bit when I have tidied round in the house and made some soup for lunch.
The same needs to be done in the studio and also his half shed ( like a taller bike shed). My half shed has gardening stuff which can be condensed. Bags of compost which I will use to take some plants from the garden with me.
His half shed has tools! beyond your wildest dreams!!!!!!!! No idea why. He doesn't do diy or like diy.
We will take the half sheds with us. The massive shed is staying here and is a home office. The dividing wall could be easily taken out.
As you can possibly tell, the sheds have been stressing me a lot, for a long time. We already owned this house so could take our time bringing all this stuff over.
The other stressor for me is the garden. I can't get rid of stuff till I know where we will be going to and what i will need.
...and breathe.

I have decluttered the kitchen junk drawer and my dog's toy box the past few days. She seems to be losing some mobility in her front leg so I took her toys out of the shed and threw some away and then cleaned the ones I was keeping and put them upstairs. I am only going to play fetch with her indoors on the carpet from now on instead of outside so it would be softer for her legs.
I was talking to the lady who cuts my hair about her partner who is a fan of ice bathing. He said it gets rid of his aches and pains. I took the plunge (!) and bought an ice recovery pod as it was on sale for £55 at the moment. Eek. It is arriving tomorrow so I will try it one day this week.
I did buy a budget planner and it is easier to write down expenses in a book than on a piece of paper. I did have one No Spend Day this month so far and I want some more of them. I used to do that all the time when we were paying off debts and our mortgage, but got out of the habit.
I was tempted to get a Chinese takeaway last night, but I cooked instead to save money. I am about to look at what we have in the fridge and freezer and do a meal plan for next week. I am eating out on Tuesday as we are going out to see Deadpool, but that should be the only time this week.
It feels so much nicer now it has cooled down!
