Pincin I lived in Bexley for 26 years, not that far from Eltham, I remember the High Street at Eltham being full of traffic lights, and if you hit one at the wrong time you got them all one after another
Condolences Crazycatladyhopefully he is at peace now.
DGS Jack arrived today from Goudhurst, and is staying until Sunday, so we now have three of the boys home this week.
Mikey and his young lady arrive on the 19th-24th. so far the boys that are here think the house is lovely, the three dogs went nuts when they saw the boys, much tail wagging and excitement from the dogs
I took Ben out to Lunch today at Shanklin, as Henry was working at home, I will treat the others at some point this week as well.
Going to be a dry sunny day tomorrow, so maybe a tip run is likely to get rid of some more packing boxes as there are a couple of young men who will be marshalled into helping out
There is a couple of chaps coming in the morning to cut back some of the trees and bushes that have overtaken the garden so it will be another busy day.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer, I do hope the troubles will be stopped asap as those poor little girls should not be remembered for being the start of rioting bless them
Night night God bless all here

London_1 BHF are wonderful. Got a beautiful vintage wardrobe from them. Real wooden wood and all assembled so none of that swearing needed. Also the delivery lads were amazing. I totally forgot about our stairlift and they still managed with a smile. Would recommend them highly.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

A few more bits got rid of (mainly by DS) and I had a mini digital decluttering session whilst watching TV as it's so boring. I might eventually get to the end of my email inbox.. it has been declining over the year slowly and now it's at 62 emails.Needed to order DD a big bed, so looks like there will be a flurry of decluttering of the old stuff very soon. Wobn;'t be counted in my August ins and outs since it will be a direct replacement of what we have for a larger size. Not done much tidying, but the house is quite tidy. It's quite disconcerting
I'm not sure whether it's because I'm not working, we have less stuff or maybe both? 10 things in (a pack of felt tips for DD as she only has about 4 colours left that work). Counted them individually as I will be picking them up everywhere individually every day...

Hi all,
@Vulpix hope the house viewings go well.
@Mrs SD those Chinese divers are absolutely amazing aren't they. They must work so hard. I was a bit concerned when I heard the young lady who got gold, and had got gold in Tokyo aged 14 had got into diving to pay for medical treatment for her mother. How much pressure she must have put herself under. I loved the surfing yesterday, I think I would have liked to have a go at that but I think I am probably too stiff jointed to manage it now
not to mention the sight of me in a wet suit could frighten the natives
.
@Brie love the idea of a map with pins. You did very well with the dead pigeon, very brave, though it's a shame the neighbours can't be relied on to help.
@London_1 seems like you are keeping busy and settling in very well.
@QueenJess you are not a fan of the Olympics then. Good that you feel the house is tidy, maybe as you say that there is less stuff as you have done so much but also without the stress of work you are feeling better generally
. Enjoy your time with your family.
Yesterday was a reasonable day. Meds ordered, I have got out of synch somehow with some needing ordering before others but it will work itself out. A bag of OH's clothes that have been lurking on the landing for ages taken to the cs. The kitchen bin emptied, 2 bags of garden waste into the green bin which was emptied yesterday and 2 LDFPA with another load finishing off on the maiden. It's a bit miserable and drizzly this morning so I will have a look around to see what I should do first but I do want to get this back border cleared so if it dries up I will be back out there
Hugs to everyone who would like one
1134 meds ordered
1135 stuff to cs
1136 & 1137 garden waste
1138 kitchen bin
1139 & 1140 LDFPA
Take care everyone

Good morning declutterati, nice to hear that things are ticking over.
Brie, I had a similar problem when one of my hens died. It's a 20 mile round trip to the tip for me so the poor old thing went in the black bin.
The Buxton house was lovely. Even before I knock half it's walls down! We have an appointment to see a bungalow on Monday. I neeeeeeeeeeeeeed it. It has a view. That's it, all I need.Nothing else about it matters. It has everything I said I don't want. A main road, storage heaters, a massive hedge and a lawn. Bungalows in the National Park are like hens teeth and very rarely come up for sale. This is what I have wanted for 15 years. It only came on the market yesterday. Just need today's viewing to sell this house.
The quilt is progressing. My Mum gave me some little wooden dog buttons that I previously gave her years ago. No use for garments but if there are enough I will use them on the quilt at the joins, instead of stitching in the ditch. That would save me a lot of time.
We are off to Nottingham, I have the dentist.
Take care people. Vx:14 -

5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday: Rained for a couple of hours. I managed 2 x LDFPA, descaled kettle & put in new filter. Wrote a small shopping list for DH & then we spent the next hour looking for the bike keys. We checked everywhere including the garage, the shed, freezer, office, wash bag, 3 different motorcycle jackets, lr & bedroom floors & even the recycling & rubbish wheelie bins - no sign 😱 Then guess what, DH picked up the jacket he had checked first & the key & its lanyard were trapped/hidden inside the sleeve 😮💨 There had been no rattling or any sign the first time DH looked 😞 DH then went to local sm. Dinner was sausages, mash & baked beans. Wudupa. DSis & I watched the skateboarding, athletics & speed climbing. A few more medals but no more golds………yet 😉
1278 - 1282 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 2 newspapers, booklet - recycled
1283 - 1284 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Wednesday: a bright sunny day but rather breezy. Temperature only forecast to rise to 22C. DSis has a scan on her stomach today so DH took her on the motorbike. They left at 10:30 for an 11:15 appointment & have just got back 11:40. Keep nodding off so will post this & come back later to cheerlead.

afternoon all,
not much to report here as have been working last 2 days + work meeting after work on monday so havent really been at home much!
however - slight update, very exciting: the horrible neighbours are G.O.N.E!I shall try to contain my sadness at their leaving
However they have left the front garden in a state - there are weeds everywhere, bushes overgrown, and where they have trimmed them back the trimmings have obviously been on the ground for some time as they are brown/black. The rubbish and junk that they have thrown out before leaving has not been put in the wheelie bin and is just stacked in the middle of the paving. Also they seem to have abandoned one of their rusty old cars (unless thats the colour...rust...) which I do not think they will be reclaiming; I doubt it even runs.
The next people to take it over will have a right old job - any of you ladies looking to move fancy giving it a go........?!
Anyway; window cleaner came yesterday so windows are all sparkly!
Mr T has been with our delivery today, fridge that was nicely decluttered is now restocked. Haddock goujons (which were on the order) & chips with lo lemon wedges for dinner, just like a proper chippie; see if we have any frozen peas to go with it, yum yum.
Washing that was on the airer has been taken down and folded; need to put it away later. 1 x small load in the wm swishing on an short eco cycle atm.
Going to sweep the road tomorrow outside our house - where the old neighbours left one of their cars (they had three, including the rustbucket mentioned before) next to mine, a whole heap of gravel and nasty weeds have sprouted; council are useless so will go out and get rid of that as the swept up stuff can go with the garden waste which is collected Friday morning.
otherwise this week will be usual recycling and the garden waste to go.
Have another fleabay sale which I'm waiting to complete and then off to the inpost lockers with that. Have been doing quite well with sales and trade ins of late!

Hi Chums, did a tip run with two large grandsons to do the tipping
then took them to Cowes for a mooch around and a breath of air as its quite warm today
We then went to Ryde where I treated them to lunch in Yelfs ( a nice hotel ) they are good lads and one will be finishing off some weeding in the garden tomorrow.
We had the 'tree chap round today and he power washed both late water butts that were rank as they had now been touched for almost a y'ear . plus he cut back a lot of bushed and repointed the front and back patio and mowed both lawns.By golly the lad grafted in the hot weather as well bless him, but my son-in-law kept him supplied with cold drinks at least. he's such a good worker we are going to have him come once a fortnight to do the heavy stuff in the garden. Its a good sized garden so it needs looking after DD is happy as am I pottering around but the lad (Ryan ) is very good and willing to do it. I'm all for giving work if possible to grafters, especially when they are young chaps who are willing to put the effort in. I may even make some biscuits next time
Tomorrow we are due a few showers but its still pretty warm here.
We had two builders come today and another one tomorrow and one next week so my son-in-law will work out which one is the best as he's pretty good and doing that sort of thing We had two chancers turn up and after they went Simon said a big No as he thought they were cowboys and wanted to cut corners too much
Best news of all this week is DGS Danny and his wife Hayley are coming over from NYC next month for three week with the little girl Daisy.
Hope everyones day has gone to plan,
Night night God bless all here
