Internet seems to be working ok so managed to get most of things done on Tuesday however a few more to do. Had a fatigue day yesterday so nothing at all done.
Will need to do domestic chores today so maybe more of the kitchen shelves tomorrow. Am itching to get more of the paperwork sorted plus tackle a corner in my bedroom, but it’ll have to wait.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅10 -
Not really took much in when reading sorry but glad to hear all going well with @london_1 move...need tips
We are inheriting a big house and 30 years of contents 😱 not sure how long probate takes we are assuming several months so seems like we have ages to do everything but it needs all ned windows and the roof insulation doing plus bathrooms for a start 😱
For now we are just making progress every day as we can. Think my husband having 2 weeks off then maybe work from home a week then he had a week's holiday booked anyway13 -
Hi all
@Vulpix fingers crossed for the bungalow
@crazybunnylady4 won't the landlord clear up the mess before new people move in next door?
@Crazycatlady2 re the house, are you planning on living in it or selling it? If you are planning on selling it there are always people like Vulpix who enjoy the challenge so you might not have to do the workand if you are planning on living in it you might be able to get it done before you move in so you don't have to live with the mess
. I don't know much about probate other than it seems to take months, I am sure others will have more information.
Yesterday while it was raining I tackled a bag in the conservatory. Lots of gubbins binned and recycled so the kitchen recycling emptied. Into the garden when it stopped raining and 4 bags of garden waste pushed into the green bin and a bag of branches too thick for the bin burned in the chimenea late last night after tea so I was quite tired last night and haven't really got going yet today
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Congratulations to your grandson Granny Kate.
Congratulations to you too Crazy bunny. I would come and tidy your neighbour's garden, but I think we are a distance apart.
Oh dear I love tea, I am glad that you are ok. It is annoying when you lose a post, I am trying to get into the habit of save draft occasionally, before posting. I still lose them though!
It sounds like everything is falling into place London 1, lovely to hear.
Crazy cat lady, I would say there is no urgency with the work that needs doing on the house, a little while longer as it is won't hurt. Empty it first then sit back and asses. Renovate in haste, repent at leisure.
The viewers liked the house, not enough to buy it though. haha

@Liverpool_Anne: the house next door is privately owned. No landlord. If the ex owners don't clean it up it doesn't get done. As I mentioned about 5 pages back (maybe more) I have been onto the council about it, they won't enforce or sort it out.
Although if they want to sell the place reasonably quickly....they might want to think about a clean up operation!
Have stuck to my guns recently with bits and pieces.
Washing that I took down yesterday I diligently sorted before bed last night, FUPA. A few bits to iron which won't take long, might do them tomorrow morning.
Macs hutch decluttered this morning. Need to pull the summer hutch out tomorrow ready for the weekends forecasted hot spellnot looking forward to that.
Swept and weeded outside our front wall this afternoon, moved the car and swept under; the amount of carp I got up was mind blowing. It has all gone in the garden waste for collection tomorrow
Decluttered my manky nail polish and trimmed my nails; will leave it off until after the hot spell now.
Hoping the weekend is not too disgusting as I am working 4 days starting Saturday.

My birthday today - 77 feel more like 107 on some days. Will be celebrating tomorrow with my sisters. Today took roommate G to doctor's appointment, took G and Di out for our free hamburgers we got for our Summer Reading Program and taken roommate Di to her doctor's appointment. Ah, the wild life. G said he would make a cake and we have the cake mix. Might actually happen.16

Hope you had a happy birthday weenancyinAmerica.
was good today and swapped all my horrid slippery coat hangers for nice velvety covered ones. Old hangers going to mum as she needs them. Also, as I was doing my wardrobe, sorted a two piece and four skirts for recycling.Tomorrow will be a marathon of putting all my HUGE laundry round away. Then some hanging clothes of DH upstairs and finally getting to my pantry shelves. They have becom…e very disorganised which makes me feel disorganised too. Plus I have about six bags of tins on the floor that need putting away!!Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Happy birthday @weenancyinAmerica
My husband wants us to move into it as was his parents house for 30 years. It will not need much in way of decorating but deffo new windows loft insulation properly and a new bathroom for a start....it's a big house and it's overwhelming dealing with our loss and thinking about practicalities.
On a positive note dealing with his estranged sister has gone better than expected but we will see her today again so fingers crossed for that....I've wine on fridge ready for after 🤣
We are just doing something every day to make progress best we can really and see solicitor Tuesday. We now have a preliminary COD so hopefully making progress with legal stuff too14
