Hi all, this was supposed to be posted last night but for some reason I found it sitting here as a draft this morning so I will post it now
@weenancyinAmerica hope you have had a lovely birthday 🎂 💐
Yesterday was a wash out with almost constant drizzle. I spent a bit of time in the conservatory sorting a few things but more rearranging than decluttering but 1 LDFPA, bathroom bin emptied and 300 emails deleted.
Today was better weather so after watching Katerina JT in the Olympics and getting 2 loads of washing on to the line I headed out to the garden. 4 bags of garden waste to the tip as the bin is practically full, all the washing was dry so that was sorted and then back to the Olympics. I have really enjoyed the viewing today
.
I am really tired tonight so hugs to everyone who would like one
1148 bathroom bin
1149 - 1151 LDFPA
1152 - 1155 garden waste
1156 - 1158 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone

2 scratters, you have had a lot on your plate, real life just overtakes at times. Here's to a calmer period for you. x
How exciting GrannyKate. A new chapter for all of you. I hope your new place is not too far away, you are a close family.
I haven't been watching the Olympics but I did see some of the sailing in the dentist waiting room the other day, who knew sailing could be gripping? I went in without knowing who won.
Mr V has been to work and has now gone to an emergency services day with the casualties thing we are involved with. I am hanging about, waiting for the house viewing at one. Not much to do, make the bed , boof the sofa cushions and wash the breakfast pots. I always tidy round before I go to bed. I don't like getting up or coming home to a mess. I read a while ago that before they went to bed, someone got the house ready for the next shift, like they worked in a shop or other job. I think that is a good analogy.
Whilst the viewing takes place I will wander up to the monthly food and makers market. It's only a two minute walk from here. A potter in the garden when I get back. The thing about making a minimal gardening garden is not having very much to do!
Tomorrow as it is forecast a lovely day we are having a trip out to Chester, early doors. Back in time for Mr V to go to work in the evening.

Saturday: Very cloudy, dull & breezy with a high of 25C. No rain forecast but ….. DH & DSis have gone to the sm in the car. My contribution was to write the shopping list. The Olympics is winding down now although I am still hopeful that I can watch a few minutes of my missing sports - Rhythmic Gymnastics, Water Polo & Modern Pentathlon 🤞
So here goes with a session of cheerleading - starting from Wednesday 😥 & having set a timer I am hoping that it will chivvy me along 🤞
crazybunnylady4, I hope your work week calmed down 🤞 Such great news that the “horrible neighbours are G.O.N.E. 🥳🎉 If the front garden is such an horrendous mess, heaven alone knows what the inside is like 😬 Fingers crossed that it is sold very quickly & that the new neighbours will be wonderful 🤞Hopefully your planned sweep & tidy up of the road went well & wasn’t too much hard work 🙏 Excellent work with the sales 👏 Remember how ‘curious’ I am 😅 I was just wondering if you have any specific plans for the monies raised?
ilovetea, sorry to hear about your fall 😣 I hope you have spent at least some time in the TLC Carriage whilst you recover 🙏 Excellent decluttering 👏
London_1, sounds like you are thoroughly enjoying your new home & made even better by having your strapping DGSs visiting & tackling the heavy duty tidying/decluttering 😊 Also how wonderful that you have managed to find a gardener for the ‘heavy work’ - he definitely deserves hm biscuits on his next visit 😉 Fingers crossed that Simon manages to find a ‘good builder’ & that you can get the building work done quickly & efficiently as well as being reasonably priced🤞 Absolutely brilliant news that DGS Danny & family are coming over 🥳 It sounds to me like he was waiting until you were settled in on the IoW 😅 I imagine you are looking forward to giving DGGD lots of cuddles 🥰
oceanspirit, you sound very busy 👏 I hope all your plans came to fruition 🤞
Crazycatlady2, hope you & your husband are keeping well 🙏 Always such a lot of work when someone dies, so I hope that you are both taking time for some TLC 🙂 Good luck with sorting out the inherited house, whatever decision you reach 🙂
Timer went off just as DH & DSis got back 🙂 Everything put away & I had a little tidy & reorganisation of the fridge 😉 As an aside the sun is out & it is very warm 🥵 + somehow the dahlia has flowered 🤩
Now back to cheerleading - timer back on 😉
Liverpool_Anne, lovely cheerleading as usual 😊 Excellent decluttering on Wednesday 👏
Lovely cheerleading post vulpix 😊 Shame that the viewers didn’t put in an offer 😔 Fingers crossed that the next ones will 🤞
Excellent work crazybunnylady4 👏 So satisfying & uplifting when you get lots of tasks completed - ‘clear the clutter, clear the mind’ Fingers crossed that the hot weather bypasses where you are so that you can work in comfort 🤞
suzeesu2000, great work with the coat hangers & the decluttering of clothes 👏 Good luck with the mammoth laundry organising & sorting the pantry shelves 🍀
Crazycatlady2, good luck with the house 🍀 Sending positive vibes that the rapprochement with your husband’s sister continues 🙏
daisy_1571, I love your optimism 🥹
The timer has just gone off again so a perfect time to stop for a while 😉 I will put the timer on for an hour whilst I watch the Men’s Platform Diving 😉
I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday whatever they are doing 😊

Oops, so much for coming back in an hour - nearly 3 hours later 🙊 Great news in the Diving 🥳 I have finally ticked off the Modern Pentathlon so only the Water Polo & Rhythmic Gymnastics left to see 🤞The weather has cleared up beautifully & we now have clear blue skies 🌞 Timer is on & away I go 🙂
QueenJess, I wondered what that I saw flying past my window yesterday 🤣 It transpires it was a squadron of flying pigs towing a blue moon 🤩 You must be so, so pleased that all your work decluttering has finally permeated DH’s consciousness 🥳🎉 Excellent decluttering by both of you 👏 & just to encourage your DH to continue decluttering I am awarding him a medal 🏅 Long may his enthusiasm continue 🤞
crazybunnylady4, good work planning for the forecast heatwave 👏 Mac is very lucky to have you as his owner 🥹 Sorry to hear about the job 😔 & wishing you a quick & successful search for a new job 🍀
More excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Really enjoyed reading your post especially as you sound so much more positive & have recognised what a superb job you have already done in your efforts to declutter to almost the point of minimalism 🥳 🫅 I found your observations about your son & daughter very enlightening 😊 & I am so impressed by your DD 😌
Great post daisy_1571 😊 I do love this type of discussion 👏 & you always manage to write so succinctly 😊
Timer has gone off & it is time to make dinner. I will post & run. Hopefully I will see you later - depending on how much Olympics I watch 😉

A pair of garden shoes and a pair of sandal type shoes given away.
I'm hoping to start tidying up and sorting out again next week.
Plus hope to cut the grass as well as restart de weeding the lawn and at some point empty both the composters, get what soil I can and condense them.Decluttering campaign 2023

I have decided against trying to prolong summer flowers and just get everything ready for autumn/wnter. Many of my pots have bulbs but I can’t remember which ones now or if they’re any good so I will empty the lot, pick out bulbs that look ok and chuck them in the ground. Then reuse the old compost with some new and pot up plants that are a bit too big for their containers.
im hoping for a proper winter without too much rain as that should sort out the influx of snails slugs nasty bugs…..
I also have ants everywhere in the garden much more than usual. Not even gonna try and evict them - they will just laugh at me!⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Dinner was delicious & quite light 😋 Chicken fried in butter, with boiled new potatoes, sweetcorn & peas. DH had bought a few bottles of root beer as a treat 🙂 I had one with dinner which I thoroughly enjoyed 🙂 I will do the wudupa a bit later once I have caught up with the Olympic track cycling & athletics. I have managed to see a few minutes of Rhythmic Gymnastics - not my cup of tea at all. Now just missing he Water Polo 😉 I enjoyed watching the last 6 pairs in the Artistic Swimming & what a result for GB 😊 Another successful evening in the Athletics Stadium although sadly no Gold medals 😔 DSis & I watched a retrospective on the life & career of Bob Monkhouse - a very funny man - we were in stitches 🤣 Wudupa.

Lovely to see you dND 👋 Sounds like life is going well 😊 You have made a great job of painting the re-sited garden fence 👏 Also great work dealing with frogs or should that be escargots 😉 I will quote Greta Garbo’s actual words as I think it is more appropriate to your current situation “I want to be let alone” 😉 Fingers crossed that all the building work will be done & dusted very soon so you can resume your unpacking 🤞By the way, how are the cats getting along? Have they learnt any Welsh yet 😅
Lovely cheerleading vulpix 😊 Fingers crossed that Friday’s viewing went well 🤞
Great work with your jewellery oceanspirit 👏 Good luck with both your sales & your “don’t know pile” 🍀
Just noticed the time so will post & head off to bed 😉 Sleep tight everyone 😴

I gave the girl who had a lot of my fabric stash a big bag of trim, beads etc. including my button tin and a sewing basket that my Grandad gave me when I was a little girl. I just had to wait for the right person to give that one to. I have also put aside some sets of buttons for my Mum's knitted charity garments.
Sold a little oak coffee table on fb.
Mrs SD, Mr V has interviewed Bob Monkhouse. He says what a top bloke he was, they talked for far longer than the piece broadcast.
I have woken early with a perfectly formed garden plan in my head for a house I have been considering. It is an ugly house but in a good position for us, and the cats! It would mean the cats can still have access to the wood that they consider they own. I know! who buys a house to suit their cats? Well apparently I do. I have only been considering houses with access to places the cats would like!
We are going to see the bungalow with views tomorrow but I expect it will be snapped up very quickly. Someone we worked with sold her parents house without the buyer setting foot in it, for a huge amount of money. People moving here to retire from the South have a lot of money to spend.
Same old story for our viewing. They loved the house but need to sell theirs.
Off to Chester for the day, Laters Vx:12 -
Morning All,
DSis has decluttered her op! The fabulous lady surgeon said it couldn’t have gone any better. I think she was very pleased with herself as she was able to do it all as keyhole surgery. DSis is up and pottering about and able to shower and dress mostly unaided, socks & shoes are the challenge at the moment but hardly surprising. We still need to find out what the follow up treatment will be but it’s all looking positive at the moment.Yesterday between naps I had a bit of a declutter of stuff and that’s been added to the charity bag DSis started before her op.Today we’ve been for a little walk to the post box and back which is just under half a mile. DSis is feeling very pleased with herself.✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
