A few more bits gone and I've had a mini digital session as well. I've been in DD's room re-reviewing everyday to find more bits and pieces as we are waiting for a mattress delivery so we can build the new bed and at the same time will need to move the furniture around. I thought we may as well move as little stuff as possible by getting rid of anything not used.Carpets being cleaned downstairs tomorrow, so I will be moving lots of stuff later/tomorrow morning. I'll consider if anything I have to move needs to be decluttered whilst I'm there.Digital:

Lovely to see a feel people pop whose lives have been so busy and echo others reminders for people to have me time
Dds both a bit stressed, been waiting to help dd1 by reading some of her work but she's decided to defer her assignment ( with others) as found medication not good and coming off it worse. Dd2s front tooth filling is loose so hoping she can get an appt back in Birmingham as its half her tooth ( lights up under the uv light of clubs) which luckily she's cool about. But as she can only have liquids as hoping it will stay in planned meal out and film.didn't happen but we had drinks in the garden with a tablecloth, played Mario cart and watch a series we both like. On between both been doing tidying and some frogs. Big frog mentally done ( but is ongoing)., family are wjere we wRch tv tidied so not stressful and about 10.bits and pieces out, plus large wooden storage box picked up, 2 vintage items sold and packaging ( to go out tomorrow) abit of paper declutter and 2 items in cs bag.11 -
afternoon all
decluttering the job has been met with some approval from those at work; there may be a exodus of sorts. There are quite a few of the other girls I work with who are NOT happy about a colleague of ours getting a promotion, including one who went for the same promotion, who has more experience, and didnt even get a 2nd interview. It would seem that they had pre-selected who they wanted for the positions. very sneaky, snake in the grass stuff.
neighbours next door have been back and forth a couple of times recently to load more smaller stuff (boxes etc) into their car. Through the grapevine of other neighbours DMum was told today that they moved to a "bigger place" - we're kind of laughing because they couldnt look after the place they had, and the bungalow next door is pretty big. If they had done some work on it, they might have had a nice place to live and wouldnt have had to move (and wouldnt have inconvienced us!!) oh well. Their place isnt listed on estate agents yet, I do keep checking to see when this might all be final! XD
Not much else going on, gearing up for the 32c heat tomorrow, hope everyone else in the sun stays hydrated and cool, those of you up north with predicted thunderstorms just know I envy you (I love a good storm!)

Made a start on the bedroom corner - several things cleaned and put away. An item of clothing defluffed and put in the laundry basket to wait for others to be done so they can all be washed together.Took a couple of things back to DSis now her move has finally happened.
Made a stew from ood dry lentils and put 4 portions in freezer plus 2 portions rice.
Went out this evening for a “walk” on the beach and a car picnic. We don’t normally go out during holiday season as it gets too busy for us but we managed to avoid the crowds and enjoyed watching the sun turn red and slowly sink down from the sky.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅12 -

Sunday was a gloriously sunny day 🌞 I woke up for a bathroom visit & decided to put on a dressing gown & go downstairs not realising what the time was. Made my first cuppa before checking the time only to discover it was only 08:35 😳 So I watched the end of the Women’s Marathon & have now been rewarded for my early wake up by being able to watch 15 minutes of Water Polo 🥳 Last sport ticked off 🥳🥳🥳 Must mention the young lady from Bhutan - a valiant effort finishing the Marathon 90 minutes & 4 seconds after the winner in a personal best time 🤩 The rest of the day has been too hot to move although I did cook a full roast dinner - beef, roast potatoes & carrots, cabbage, green beans & Yorkshire puddings + DH made gravy 😋 The only trouble with a roast dinner is that there is so much washing up 😉 DH filled the bird feeders & water bowls, composted the kitchen scraps, watered the plants & mowed the front lawn 👏 He also washed all the roasting trays whilst I did the rest of the wudupa. Well the Olympics is over for another 4 years & didn’t we do well 🥳 Now I have absolutely no excuse not to devote lots of time to decluttering, tidying & dealing with frogs 😔 but not until next weekend as tomorrow we are spending the day with DH’s niece S, her husband & their 6 year old grandson. Typically it is forecast to be the hottest day of the year tomorrow so we are rather pleased that we will be on a boat going down the Thames so hopefully a bit cooler 🤞 Then we are off to the park to feed the squirrels - the 6 year old will set the agenda 😉 Also this Wednesday & Thursday we will be on the RBR in Yorkshire returning home on Friday. We will be in The Clarendon, Skipton on Wednesday night & The Hope & Anchor, South Ferriby on Thursday night. If anyone is interested in meeting up for a drink, please PM me 🙂

Lovely to see you 2Scratters 👋 You have been busy so no worries about not posting 😉 Sorry to hear that your DSis has been taking the proverbial 😠 Sending healing vibes to your DH & the hope that he will realise he is not 21 anymore. Also sending a plea that you take any opportunity for a bit of TLC 🙏 Hopefully once all the renovations are completed the house will be as you envisage 🤞Sending cwtches to you & your family 🤗
Moorviews excellent work with the confidential shredding 👏
Off to have a quick bath & then make a decision on what to wear tomorrow. Sleep tight everyone 😴

Mrs SD -S Ferriby is only about 15 minutes drive from mine but unfortunately I am off to DDs on Weds. Will try and catch you another time on your travels. Things are looking bit chaotic here. Decluttered some money to help DS2 get children's rooms ready at his new place. They are allowed to partially move stuff in and paint etc but not actually moving until 1 September. Sent loads of stuff off to solicitor for my sale - just hope everything goes through ok. Hard to get excited as there seems to be another tricky question everyday although survey was sound. I am not sure what I will come back to next Tuesday. Only 4 more weeks and I am off to France with Sils. I put washing out and it started to rain - not so brilliant sunshine as expected! Boiler service booked for tomorrow as OOD.
Starting a separate list of boxes packed to keep me motivated - 5 boxes so far packed and labelled
987 Ink cartridge recycled
988 Two bags of shredding done and taken to recycling
989 Filing cabinet emptied ready for DS2 to take
990 Loads more cans to recycling - trying not to keep them in garage between collections
991 More OOD bits thrown out

Great news Floriana.
Mrs SD, I have an Indian friend that likes British food but says cooking it it makes too much washing up.Have a great time today and on your bike trip. Granny Kate recommended a nice cafe near South Ferriby. Just at the start of the Humber Bridge.
I / we have been given some furniture, a mid century extending table and 6 chairs! They are in Mum's house. Gawd we had a job getting the table in through the door now there is a wet room built on the back of the house. The legs wouldn't come off and we don't have a front door key. It was like the Chuckle brothers were back in business. The furniture is keeping the giant plant company. I am looking forward to having a dining table again, and a slightly bigger house. Not that I want to get more stuff, just spread out what we have. Once the house is sold I will sell most of our furniture and travel light to the next house. I will have a change of style next time, depending on the age of the house we buy. I think I am done with older houses.
We have just had a sharp shower of heavy rain. wasn't expecting it, but enjoyed it.
Off to the bungalow viewing shortly.

I have been missing again but nothing much has been decluttered lately as DH had some bad news last week about his cancer. Sadly he has to have a scan and maybe chemo as his cancer cells are on the rise again, a bit of a shock after 8 years of swimming gently along. I'm drowning in bad news this year, first my cancer, then Dad's stroke and now this, we must have been very bad people in a previous life 🙄
Anyway I have binned Dad's rubbish, which he was collecting in his kitchen then recycled some cardboard that he wanted to hoard( not happening again) and also 6 small empty jars that he used to start off some baby plants. There are still 10 more but I'll do that another time as he's now agreed that he won't be taking anymore cuttings. Sadly he's failing fast as he's not eating and has lost quite a bit of weight. The OT is going in tomorrow to do a cognitive test as his head is all over the place.
Today I went through my holiday tops in the hope that we can get a holiday in Sept 🙏 but it depends on DH's appointments with the oncologist now. We did manage a day out yesterday and visited a local beauty spot and had a little walk and found we're really unfit 🥵, then went on to the local steam railway to look at the trains which we didn't know were running and sadly fully booked by the time we got there. The highlight was the over head flight of a Lancaster plane, what a fabulous sight !
I went through my clothes today and 6 tops and a dress have been put in the cs bag as I seem to have put on weight and they are now too tight (I like things loose) so I'm going to blame my meds 😂 I did find 2 tops that were too big before now fit me.👍
I have a cami top, a sleeveless T. shirt and 3 short and top pyjama sets that I will offer to DD, none of them have ever been worn. DH relinquished one of his sleeping bags this weekend too so that's in the cs bag, we already have 2 more each that I recall.
Vulpix you made me giggle with pictures of you and the table, we always end up like the song Right said Fred by Bernard Cribbins. Fingers crossed about the bungalow viewing.
Crazycatlady glad you've seen the back of your neighbours.
MrsSD hope you enjoy the RBR
Good news Floriana, hope DSis goes from strength to strength.
Sorry I have forgotten who said what so I'll send hugs to anyone in need.
