Back to work tomorrow ... I can't complain really I had a full 2 weeks off.
Today was a pottering day really - only went out to Church and High St for food. Managed to get more of my accounts done - this bite sized approach really works. I'm nearly there - they should be finished by the end of the week hopefully - it's my birthday on Saturday and it'll be lovely not to have them hanging over my head.

Hello, I stopped decluttering when we went on holiday in October and items have started to accumulate again. I have kept up with reading the thread even though the EDT is travelling so fast!
Counting items out was stressful so I am just going to list areas decluttered this year. I will also count frogs. I aim to go through the whole house and declutter 100 frogs by the end of the year.
We finally had the hole in the living room ceiling repaired yesterday after living with it for 6 months. It needs to be painted and we somehow need to match the pattern with the rest of the ceiling (Artex). I had moved all books, magazines, cross stitch and admin from my corner before the handyman arrived and realised how much better the room looked so I am trying to read through my books and magazines, complete all the cross stitch in my workbag and empty the in-tray this year. I have done a lot of end-of-year filing and sorting of paperwork but still have all of Mum's paperwork to file.
I don't know how you are keeping up with the cheerleading this year Mrs SD. Well done on being almost caught up.17 -
left in the kitchen....tonights washing up, the clock on the wall, 2023 calendar. The one thing I forgot to do was have a shower so I'll need to be up by 7:30 before they invade and turn off the water etc.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Whilst passing my collection of beauty products l took a look at some that l had and l decided they were never going to be used as they didn’t agree with me so out they have gone. Bit of a spur of the moment but they are gone and why had l kept them that’s the burning question 😂, l hadn’t even bought them they were from my beautician who was retiring and surplus to requirements l never seem to amaze myself in what l keep for keeping just in case.

Evening all
I pulled out the contents from the drawers under the spare bed and condensed two crammed drawers down to one and a half, some bedding and towels can go to charity they were changed after the bathroom and bedroom were decorated years ago and put away just in case as they were the wrong colour. We have a local charity in town which provide packs for anyone needing help when given emergency accommodation, I'll wash them as they are musty before donating. I need to think about another set of bedding in there but they will probably end up in the bag as well but maybe when it's better drying weather!Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin20 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DSis decided on toast rather than a full dinner, as still feeling nauseous. Wudupa.

Morning, back to work and will tinker and hopefully have some dexluttering splurged. As soon as I saw the photo of the desk I guessed Brie's as we've followed her story it looks lovely by the big window.
Love Ziggy and he looks as if butter wouldn't melt
Yesterday sold big vintage hat box which will.go in a very big box and hopefully posted today.. 2 items still not collected.
3 items in cs bag, some torn jiffy bags out, some paper recycled and some filed.
Radiator turned off but not mended.
Big step in mega frog with lots of attachments sent to where they need to go and have to move to writing an update on my position. Last week of dd1 being with me so watching some TV with her in the evenings and too much netflix on my own.
Wore clothes I love when out shopping and in town (including new clothes) and in cs realised I don't need anything so 2 days only bought food.
Saw 2 removal vans taking stuff from up the road and realise if I were to move now would need a fleet
Xmas cards out incl those I forgot to give!

Hi Mrs SD and all
I'm an old MSE'er but fell off the wagon some years ago when life became a challenge with divorce, breast cancer, peri-menopause, elderly dad with dementia (he died 2 years ago this month), full time work etc. I have been really fatigued for years which makes it easy for me to put off decluttering and anything else I ought to be achieving!
OH is retired but has a part time seasonal role. He does a fab job of looking after me and us but much of the "stuff" is mine or Dad's so I need to address it.
We have loads of work to do around the house and I hate living with the clutter so this is the year!
We need to reorganise our storage, without Dad we now have a reasonable amount of space but need to declutter, move things around and organise.
Previously I did really well by clearing little and often, my energy levels don't really allow me to take two days off and blitz as they once did so I need to get back to slowly slowly.
That's enough for one post, it's lovely to meet you all, there are some familiar names here, thank you for having me aboard. I've read 11 pages and will go back over the rest but felt I needed to commit to joining!
Target - 366 items - I need something that feels achievable or I get overwhelmed.

I am currently putting my feet up in the TLC carriage as I have fallen prey to a horrible cold. Been in bed most the weekend and trying to get rid of it ASAP. So not much decluttering done and I really need to clear up the bedroom that's looking a bit messy at the moment. This is where I got to before I got the cold:Digital:
