@Florenceem - you are on the other side of London to me, I am in Surrey. So no chance of a bargain, which is probably just as well since my craft stock is just sitting there stewing! 😅
DMum decided to have another look through her wardrobe for something today and ended up putting four tops into a charity bag and then gave me another 2 x tops and a jumper from her wardrobe as well. She is a size larger than me but I do love tops that are a comfy/slouchy fit!
One of the tops I need to try on as it may go to the charity bag as well. The jumper is lovely but it's a couple sizes too small for her - no clue where she got it but will hopefully look nice on me! Might even get away wearing it to and from work!
Anyway since new stuff is going in my wardrobe I had a dig through and put 2 old jumpers into the charity bag DM has started.13 -
crazybunnylady4 said:Can I post too? I do a lot of maintaining declutter around our place and would love to share.
Looking forward to your posts as I love to take inspiration on what I’ve forgotten to declutter from other posts.
The meeting lasted 8 hours and turned out to be an all day jolly trying to say anything to convince me to stay (although neither of us mentioned me leaving, but I knew he knew and he knew I knew he knew…). Anyway, so tired now and head all jumbled up, so going to have a good nights sleep and will start afresh tomorrow with both job stuff and of course more decluttering. Will see if I can get a massive pile of stuff I took out of the loft yesterday picked up from Buy Nothing tomorrow so I can make some floor space.2025 decluttering: 3,235🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Goodness Queenjess. I hope you can turn your job around into something you can work with.
Happy Birthday for tomorrow nannywindow. I just don't know what to do about Mr V. It is 9 months since his diagnosis. There is no point in me cutting up rough with the consultant's secretary, she is our only contact and has been helpful. I doubt we would even be at the point we are without her. Mr V has a meeting tomorrow at the local hospice. I have said to ask if they can help in any way.
Did errands, went to see Mum. She has given me stuff for the charity shop. Some I have binned when I got home. She has also made 6 baby jumpers for the charity shop. I have kept a tiny bronze duck and a tiny bronze owl that Mum used to have on the fireplace at home. Also unboxed 3 St Michaels lace hankies which had 35p on the box. I will wash them and use them to make lavender bags.
In, two pillowcases. Ours are wash and wear and have developed tiny holes. They are very old. In fact they were probably Mum's. I have never bought any pillowcases unless part of a duvet set. Also in, some solar lights that we will try to rig up in the outside loo. Bought new paint for the sheds and ahem, a plant.
The astilbe in the back garden is about to flower. I had white ones and pink ones that I brought from the last house.Nail biting stuff, have I planted the white ones in the back garden?
My bin monitor neighbour came in for a chat, I have promised her the half a tin of green paint that is left over from doing my doors. It all makes space in my tiny kitchen cupboards.

@Floss, just remembered I lay in bed over the weekend counting paydays til.i may retire, 46 if I go a couple of years early but do hope I'll reduce hours before then.
@QueenJess I hope you can turn the job around, I remember you looking last time.
I took a sideways move , step down really now 6 years ago although seem to work just as hard and more hours and while not my dream job I have accepted not going to look elsewhere. If I give up work will have not reason for the house being in chaos!

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday’s weather was a bit of a let down after Sunday’s glorious sunshine 🙁 Never mind - after all it is still dry 🙂 & it stayed dry all day. I was up by 11:00 😉 My plan was to catch up with the cheerleading (although I was definitely being a bit slow 🙁) So slow in fact that I got completely distracted 😱 & only came back on Tuesday morning 😬 DH was quite busy - he washed both the car & the motorbike, checked the brakes on the motorbike & mowed the front ‘lawn’ + filled the bird feeders. I had a couple of conversations with the new neighbours, as did DH who loaned out a couple of tools. Also spoke to neighbours J & A. DH found the missing rake - it had become hidden in the garage. Good news, the woodpecker is still visiting 😊 Dinner was a meaty bolognaise sauce with pasta shells. Wudupa.
880 - 882 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
883 Kitchen detritus binned
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 & very well done on getting DH to get rid of a few things 😊 although he undid the good work by buying new shoes 😡 I hope you put him on the naughty step & sent him to bed without any supper 😅 Just wondering if your DH would notice if shoes started to ‘vanish’ from the box of 40 pairs 🧐 Forget one in, one out it sounds like your DH should be decluttering on the basis of one in, three out 😂 Sorry to hear that you were struggling yesterday 😔 I hope today’s meeting goes well & that the work issues can be sorted out without recourse to resigning & looking for a new job 🙏🤞The madelines are delicious 😋
vulpix, very funny 😅 Of course the issue with knitting an adult jumper is that it takes so much longer & uses so much yarn 😉 Shame about the sentry box 🙁 but great news that someone else snapped it up 🙂 I will keep everything crossed that the weather stays fine so that you can reclaim your shed 🤞Also sounds like MrV will be busy as well 😉
TC77, DH definitely feeling better 😊 DSis & I have not succumbed as we only had a couple of mouthfuls & put the rest out for the birds 😥 Excellent cleaning & decluttering 👏
weenancy, hope your sister is now well on the way to a full recovery 🤞 You must be exhausted especially as her dog needs carrying outdoors 😩 Please, please try to get some rest even though you are preparing for the big meeting 🙏 Very pleased to hear that you have reached a decision re a new bookcase & where it is to be located 😊 Now you just need a ‘money tree’ to pop up in the garden 🤔
QueenJess, sorry to hear that you have been worrying & losing sleep about the work meeting 😔 I am sending many positive vibes that the meeting will go well & that there will be actions (not just words) to resolve the situation 🙏 Very impressed with your thought processes & it does sound like you now have a firm action plan for your next round of decluttering 🥳 I definitely think you should count the 8 puzzles in one box as 8 items out 😉
Thanks Florenceem 👏 Sounds like a very busy Sunday 😓 Sorry to hear about MrF 😔 Good luck with Project Craft-room Tidy & Declutter 🍀
Welcome aboard the EDT crazybunnylady4 👋 Lovely to see a new face 😊 I look forward to following your decluttering journey 😊
Just noticed the time so I am off to bed. Hope everyone has a good night’s sleep 😴

Decluttered the rabbits litter tray last night - does that count? 🤣
Would have been earlier in the day but I had to take him to the vet to have his nails clipped. He's ridiculously wriggly if I try and I'd be worried about hurting him or doing it wrong.
Unfortunately he doesn't do well around dogs (hes a rescue and had a bad experience), and yesterday's early surgery hours had 4 dogs put in around our timeslot! So that was stressful, and the poor thing was shaking like a leaf when I got him home (even though I waited outside with him until our appt time).
He refused to come out of his hutch until 9pm 😢 but then there were many floor hugs and kisses until he got tired of being adored and ran off to have a wash 🤣
Next time i will make sure he is not put onto a timeslot with so many dogs around. I thought I was going to a small animal clinic but clearly I was misinformed 😡
Anyway off to drop the bag DM made up yesterday to charity shop and then pick up some bits and bobs from Wenzels/M&S/chemist/pet shop.16 -
Hi all, just taking a moment to post a couple of pictures. We had brilliant weather for the hawk walk on Sunday, although it was overcast yesterday and today so far no rain. Friend's son B has been fishing on the small fishing lake on site which is great for his mh, while I went for
a little walk yesterday and used the app B told me about to identify a flower growing in the hedgerow. The flower is bittersweet nightshade so pretty as it is I won't be taking a cutting for the garden
. There are loads of birds here and a goldcrest has been spotted by B so we are all on the lookout for it
. And we have Canada geese goslings on the lake. Off for breakfast at an American style 50s diner now.
Not caught up so hugs to anyone who would like one.
Take care everyone15
