1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Mini Mission in May
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Forgot to mention that the window cleaner turned up yesterday 😊 Finally put his prices up to £12.50 🥳 & all his customers including me have said “about time too” 😊 Last rise was about 3 years ago. I also forgot to mention that I picked my first homegrown radish - it was enormous. This year DH planted a type called French Breakfast 🤔 Quite mild when you bite into them but then the lovely peppery taste kicks in 😋 Tuesday is dull & overcast at 08:43 🙁 I am up with my first cuppa but am in DH’s dressing gown as mine is too warm. ERNIE has been kind this month £150 for me & £75 for DH 🥳
vulpix, shame about the mix up with spices 🙁 so well done on rescuing the ‘bolognese’ sauce 👏 Hopefully the next call from your son won’t be to say that he has too much to do 😉 Sounds like Saint Rachel is meeting with resistance 😔 Fingers crossed that she will make a breakthrough soon 🤞Ouch to the operation on your feet 😩 & very sorry to hear that it did more harm than good 😔 Sending cwtches & flowers.
Excellent d cluttering Florenceem 👏 I am very, very impressed that you are thinning out your craft stash 🥳 Hopefully it won’t be too long before you have a tidy but still well stocked craft room 😊
Excellent decluttering crazybunnylady4 👏 I do believe you have hit the nail on the head “I am also an avid crafter and am sure that buying craft supplies and using them are two separate hobbies 🤣🤣🤣”
Florenceem, please please may I see a picture of the contents of the vintage tins of buttons - I need a quick fix 😅
Excellent & eclectic decluttering wishus 👏
EnergyShifter, your bathroom sounds absolutely gorgeous 😻 Good news that you have been discharged from the eye clinic 😊 but a bit worrying about the recommendation 😔 However as you say forewarned is forearmed. Sorry to hear about the continued bad cold 🙁 Hopefully the congestion will clear soon 🙏
nannywindow, after a brief lull I have noticed that quite a few of our declutterati family have found some renewed decluttering mojo & are racing ahead 👏😊 Sounds like you had a lovely time & so happy to hear that your DH is looking after you 😊 Always nice to have a fit young man to help with the gardening 😊 & the fact that it was your DGS is even more pleasing 😊 Sorry to hear that you have another funeral to attend in such a short space of time especially as it is on your birthday 😔……. Happy Birthday 🎂 🍾
Excellent declutteringFlorenceem, more great work in your Craft Room 👏 I see that you are keeping MrF busy with visits to the CS 😊
I have finished my tea, so I will post this & go back to bed 😉 Only a page behind now 🙂

Morning munckins,
Still following aloing even thought I've not been posting much. DD did her last exam yesterday,🎉 so I am really, really hoping that is GCSEs done now in this family, been through them with all three and it was very stressful with 2 of them! Anyhow, done now and DD is happy and sad at the same time. The home ed centre have been amazing and she is sad not to be going back there!
She told me and told me that she was going to have a massive clear out once the exams were over and blow me down she started it last last! I reckon it will be at least a car full of stuff, this from the child who couldn't throw away a cracker toy, or a' special' piece of paper from 10 years ago! Very proud of her, that she has moved on so much in her life that she can see she doesn't need so much if this stuff anymore!
On the flip side it's been pulled up high in the hall and I have to go through everything and spilt between recycle , throw, CS and sell. 🙄 Which is probably going to take me much longer than it took her to make the deciding and shove it out of her room 😂😂 still it's huge progress and her room will be so much better for it.
Hopefully there might be room soon for the dog crate, i would love her to have her dog in her room rather than in with us! 🤞That will happen soon.
Plus it's holibobs next week! Hourly that will give me incentive to clear it all up so the house is clear and nice for when we return home!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

So I'd suggest, forget selling. It takes time and energy. You don't have the money from the stuff now, so if it leaves the house you are no worse off, but you will have clear space which is the goal.
Don't separate it into recycling and throwing- thats the same thing. Some things go in this bucket, some things go in a different bucket but they all go out to be collected or get taken to the tip. Same thing, different way of looking at it but now you only have to do 2 things with the piles - bucket and charity shop. Much simpler decision, choice of 2 rather than 4 so hopefully will mentally make the challenge much easier.
I think it comes across that the most important thing is to just get it out the house.
Just a thought.

I've been attempting to catch up with this thread since Easter, and I think I finally have so a few things firstVulpix, my condolences for bit-by-bit..And I hope mr V can rally a bit, it's very scary to go through this on bhalf of someone else..cute cat thoughSiebrie, balls to him, move back if you want to. Tell him he can stay or go and does he not realise what he did to you? Initmacy? Tell him to go and purchase something silicone.2scratters, congratulations!mahgster, oh no, what a shame, but still, you might find something better second time around...Flo, in agreement with vulpix, hope you can get some joy from medics re mr F, because as she said, individually, all these incidents are explainable, but together, they are concerning.weenancy, have you tried freecycle or something for a bookcase?Mrs SD, bet that was scary, glad he recovered in quick time, although I expect it didn't feel like that to him.Daisy, great way of looking at it when you have stuff inertia! So I've got one bag sitting waiting to go to the cs and am about to to a thorough sweep of the rest of the house, We're potentially having building work done in a couple of months so everything that can go, goes...I expect though, that posting on here and catching up is procrastination, but at least now I have zero absolute zero reasons not to...so cathcing up is definitely a Good Thing...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi16

Thank you for my flowers Mrs SD. The foot operation was a few years ago now. It was painful but not as bad as a spine operation. Saying that I would probably be in a wheel chair now if I hadn't had the spine operation. I could tell the second I came round from the op that it had worked. In a space of about 4 years I had 5 operations. This is why I am holding out on having my knee replaced. I will wait until I absolutely cannot walk at all before I have it done. Big baby, moi?
Here's to the end of GCSE's. The pressure seems to be enormous. I don't remember the pressure when I took mine. I didn't revise and just rocked up on the day. What young people need to believe is that it isn't the end of the world if nerves get the better of them. There are always chances to re sit if they want to. DD2 took 4 goes to get her GCSE maths.
You have had the best of the weather Liverpool Anne, enjoy your holidays.
It rained yesterday so if I feel up to it I will empty the bike shed after craft club.
Btw, had the bolognese again yesterday, it had developed the heat in the past 24 hours.
Out, half a tin of paint to bin monitor neighbour.

Mrs SD - sorry the vintage tins of buttons went out of the house yesterday - I may find more - if I do - will take pics.
-taff - waiting to hear from the hospital about test results still. Someone said to me - the longer it takes - the better the news - don't know if this is right.
Sunny here - the trolley is ready for Mr F to take to the charity shop.
My sister has called and collected the Aran yarn that I found yesterday - she left me a box of toys and books - she is decluttering after being a child minder for years.
I have fought my way to a corner of my craft room to get to the last sack of yarn that needed to be sorted.
I have loads of craft books - sorted some out for the CS.
I agree about not selling stuff but I do have some lovely yarn that I could sell to raise money for SA. I have kept it - for when I have time to advertise it on local selling sites.
I am going to pop to SA soon to see if there are donations to sort.

Well home from errands/shopping and everything put away.
Got everything including the drop off to the CS. although on the way out i spotted a cute top and it was my size, only £4.50 so had to get it 🥰
Trying to retrain my brain off of bad eating habits as I've gone back to a partial gf diet. Got all the necessary bits in, going to stick to it as much as possible for 3 months.
Bunny is back to his old self this morning. Has just thrown himself across the room he's so happy 🤣 but then binkying is his thing even though he's got big feet and is clumsy af. 🥰
Warm down here today - the sort of heat that builds gradually so you're fine one minute and the next you're sweating. Off to have lunch and sit in front of the fan/TV 🙂16 -
21/52 - very, very used, flat misshapen pillow and a pair of bedsocks to the bin.
22/52 - a drawer cleared out and a big bag of papers (all from 2009?!) out to recycling.12 -
I did go into the loft and pull out the box of puzzles. All are to go bar 2 that I couldn't quite part with. Maybe I will on a future day. I also filled another charity bag that has cleared up my room a bit.Struggling with work today as I have lost all enthusiasm for it, but need to give them a chance to improve given they did actually listen to me. Waiting for more decluttering inspiration to hit..Physical:
